Pump Hill Farm Cottages

Was so disappointed with our stay that we wanted to leave before sleeping there the first night. When attempting to check-in at the office we found a generic note that said our keys were in our cottage door. A few hours after we arrived someone switched the water mains off. Staff didn't notify us or any of the other guests and everyone was wondering what was going on. After around 3 hours of no water we called the office at 6pm and asked when the water would be back on, and mentioned we needed to give our 2yr old a shower before bed. She said the plumber would be there shortly and the water would be back on. Water was back on around 8pm.

We had to call back the office lady again to ask for a lighter to light the stove with. She was quite rude and said every cottage comes equipped with one. I explained we didn't have one, but there was a match box with a few matches in it that we used up already. She said they don't have match boxes in any of their cottages and refused to acknowledge that the matches were already there before we arrived. I had to argue with her to get a lighter dropped off. The cleaner dropped the lighter off and apologized that she forgot to put it back in the cottage after cleaning.

The cottage was filthy and full of cobwebs and dust, counted up around 10 spiders in the cottage, seamen stains on the sheets, no cot as previously organised, no welcome or hello from staff. The top of the walls look like they haven't been cleaned in 20 years. At this stage we really wanted to leave and stay somewhere else.

The next day was much better with farmer Leon doing a great job showing us the animals on the tractor ride. Our 2 yr old loved it and had a blast.

Our stay had finished and we went to check out. The office lady saw that we wanted to check out, so she conveniently started a convo with another staff member and then they both walked off to one of the sheds and never came back. She never acknowledged us, said hi, welcome, thanks or anything else throughout our 2 nights there.

The property is beautiful with so much potential but unfortunately management and communication really let this place down and made our stay extremely unwelcoming. My advice for management would be to leave a review sheet for guests to rate their stay and list things they liked and didn't like.

The accommodation is 1 to 2 star, definately not 4 star. We won't be coming back.

Lovely overnighter in the Forrest cabin. Great to see all the animals and how well they are looked after. The hay run in the morning was really educational and enjoyable. Farmer Leon really cares for the animals. Will be returning.

Comfy and cosy, incredible views, and a hay ride to boot. Definitely recommend staying here, the beds are comfortable, the cottages are clean (aside from the usual bush land assortment of spiders, pill bugs and moths that sneak in no matter what anyone does), and the farm is amaxing with sheep, goats, cows, chickens, ducks, and many more with a peacock to boot.

Awesome place for kids, great views across the valley and really close to all of the attractions in Pemberton.

Very lovely places. My kids enjoyed feeding and playing with the animals in farm. Worth drop by for short break.

The comfortable cottages are set in a peaceful quite part of Pemberton surrounded by forest and birdlife. The manager is friendly, good natured and willing to do what he can to help you enjoy your stay.

Awesome place beautiful setting with plenty to do for the whole family. Cottages were lovely clean and very comfortable.
