Porongurup Inn reviews
55What a lovely little cafe! Stopped here for lunch and took photos of the birds in the garden. For all bird fans: here you will find the Splendid Farywren. Food is homemade and very tasty!
I stayed three nights in one of the cottages and found it quiet and relaxing, this is my third visit in a row at this time of year and always find this place good value. If your looking for a peaceful stay in scenic countryside then you should consider Porongurup Inn and Tearooms.
Wow what a gem of a place. Funky and practical. Great rooms at a great price.
Wonderful hosts.
The Art work throughout all the rooms make this place what it is.
Individual and funky at a realistic price
Really lovely little cottages in a great location. The cottages have everything you need for an extended stay and are quite comfortable.
Beautiful people with good hearts.
Worth the stop. Buy something as pretty much everything helps the small community in some way
Really nice staff
Excellent customer service I love it,
I just ordered food and waited in my car outside She brought the food to me in the car park ️️
Stayed in cottage no 1 overnight - a beautiful mudbrick cottage in the bush with birds. Has such a nice vibe and really comfortable. Electric blankets were cosy and tons of heating options. Would definitely come back for longer.
Tea room was delightful, the whole place was quirky with a great garden. The food was fresh and tasty with great service.
Will defo go back!
Great food, particularly when you are Gluten free.
Very delicious and good, friendly service.
The food was superb! We went for both lunch followed by coffee and scones with jam and cream too. Relaxed atmosphere and beautiful gardens. Couldn’t help but buy a few treasures from the shop too! Great food and service.
Peaceful location to stop and take in some local history from the photo albums in the dining room.
I had the spinach, broccoli and cheese pie which was very tasty and the side salad was soo fresh. Fairly certain it must have been homegrown produce.
So disappointed after reading excellent reviews. This looks like it was a cute place once. Looks old and shabby. Had coffee and scones. Worst scones ever had. We’re dry and obviously warmed by microwave and no fresh cream as advertised. It doesn’t take much to make fresh scones! And whip some cream every day! Give it a miss.
Beautiful, quaint little shop and a lovely cafe. Perfect for a tea and scones to keep you going while you travel around the porongorups
A nice little cafe which could give you a nostalgic feeling. Met a really nice and friendly owner lady.
Absolute rip off.
Got charged 88$ for 4 eggs on toasts and 4 coffees.
Coffees took a good 30-40 minutes to arrive.
Stingy on the bread, stingy on eggs, got charged extra for a secondary small eggs.
Coffees and found did not taste great.
The tea room is dirty, dusty and filthy.
I understand it is a ‘country side’ joint run by oldies, but that is unacceptable. Please retire and shut the thing.
I recommend to drive all the way to the country side bakery in Mount Barker, they have great food and coffees there.
Their current 4.4 star review is chocking.
I give them zero stars.

An absolutely hidden gem! Fabulous family business, food fantastic, all home cooked and prepared. Homemade pickles and pickled veggies. And the Devonshire tea AzMUST. 2 home cooked scones, served warm, plus homemade jams and a coffee or tea $5!
A quirky and interesting shop and cafe run by a very friendly multi generation family. Classic country mountain area cafe. A definite must to stop here. They even let us stop overnight out the back in our van as all the caravan parks were full and it was late, cold and rainy. Awoke to beautiful birdsong and a yummy breakfast in the cafe.
Have stayed in the rustic cottages a few times. We love the sounds of nature, the gorgeous trees, and that our mobiles have no reception! Great scones, gorgeous gift shop and friendly hospitality from Scott and Di. Thank you again, Karen
Best keeped secret in the south, lovely. Just perfect, the place, our place and caravan park. Little country bar close by too. Enjoyed
Delightful owners were full of great local knowledge. The coffee was one of the best I've had in ages. A memorable pop in.
