Pier 21 Apartment Hotel

Room was quite dirty but was offered to have house cleaning attended asap but i had already cleaned it with sanitised wipes and disinfectant that i had on me. They offered us breakfast to apologise, which was lovely of them. Overall, its a great hotel with professional and friendly staff. Extremely helpful and accommodating. Thank you. Photos of our view.

We booked and stayed for one night. Everything was fine until we went for breakfast the next morning. We had received a confirmation email stating breakfast was included. They did not honour this and we were offered no apologies just excuses. The email was a mistake ect… mistake or not you should have honoured the confirmation email, that was your mistake not ours.
Pretty disappointed in the service considering everything else was from the confirmation email was confirmed. They were happy to with hold the “bond money” as per the confirmation email. Which has still not been deposited back to my account.

Room was still being cleaned when we arrived even though I emailed and said we would be arriving after 2pm. The hotel info said all rooms ready after 2pm.

No cold drinks available in the room or in the venue. Not even to purchase.

Cant wait to stay again <3 We had our wedding at Pier 21 in December and it was the most perfect day ever. The property belongs to the council and the hotel is not affiliated so it was a tiny bit worrying that someone would be having their ceremony the same day however it helped that we chose a Tuesday but was still only a few days before Christmas.

The staff are all so lovely, the room service/breakfast was great, we had a few different room types and all of them were fantastic. The suites were perfect for the bridal party to get ready in. Location was perfect since our reception was at Bathers Beach House. Was worried the limo would have issues getting down the main road at Pier since the road is a little tight but no issues there either:)

Pet friendly hotel but didn't have any issues with barking etc.

Overall, such a great choice - cant wait to stay again for our anniversary:)

If I would give this place a 0 star I would. Beds were not comfortable, couch was shedding, "spacious" bathroom was not spacious, the view was very good but that was it. It's overpriced and would never stay here again and wish you don't either.

Nice quiet area by the Swann River, but most view covered by trees. It’s a nice quiet area and good walk into Freo.

Absolutely love staying here. Service is 11/10 as are the rooms and location. Can't wait to come back!

Buyer beware. When booking be aware of t & C's of your booking. Recently had to cancel our WA trip due to family circumstances. I was unable to transfer our booking to another date as we are travelling in 2023. They only offered us to transfer to someone else for the same dates. Needless to say lost our payment.
It is great accommodation and location but needless to say will not use again.

Myself and my partner stayed overnight at this stunning Boutique hotel a few weeks ago. It was honestly amazing. Wished we stayed longer. The views were stunning overlooking the water. Highly recommend it

Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful hotel. I had an issue with my original booking and they changed it with no issues even though they were fully booked. The staff was super friendly and professional and I appreciate it knowing they were also understaffed. Great service

You pay a lot of money for really basic rooms with nothing special, had music blasting below us all afternoon/evening and yet again at 5 in the morning yet we were the ones to lose our bond over playing quiet music at 8pm and having 2 extra people with us getting ready to all go out together for a friends birthday.

Please think twice if you wish to stay here with young children. The room we stayed in was not safe and didn’t comply with pool fencing regulations. My toddler was easily about to jump over the fence into the outdoor pool area. Luckily I saw him but it could have easily been a tragedy.
I alerted staff and hoped for at least a room change as I was on edge our whole stay. I couldn’t even get a key to deadlock our door to keep my child safe. Luckily we were only staying for a few nights otherwise I would have just booked somewhere else.

Staff were extremely rude and dismissive. I sent a letter of complaint as none of my calls were returned. At least to prevent something bad happening in future.

Absolutely appalling.when it comes to safety of guests and children. Never have I come across such lack of care from management.also rude comments blaming me for their negligence.
I have alerted the local council since not one person could return my emails and calls. Hopefully they can rectify the pool fencing problems and the gate which doesn’t lock properly. It’s unsafe for little children

Peir 21 is by far the finest hotel that I’ve ever stayed at the staff is super friendly the rooms are gorgeous not to mention the viewpier 21caters to all your needs what more could you ask for

We booked January 28th to secure a special ground floor suite at Pier 21 - booked and confirmed for 4 nights over Easter. We were emphatic that we required the apartment on the ground floor of which there is only one suitable suite for our requirements.
Imagine our shock to receive an e-mail 48 hr prior to our arrival time we were told that guests were in residence at this suite and wanted to extend! We were offered an alternative suite upstairs but declined and cancelled our booking. Then had to undo all our arrangements with expected friends. It seems ridiculous that the resident guests were not advised of our special
Easter confirmed booking and handled accordingly.

We were really disappointed with this accomodation. The view is lovely, but otherwise it doesn't have alot going for it. We paid alot of money for for one night in a room which was very basic. The grout by the bath in the bathroom was discoloured and the indoor facilities are dated. Unfortunatley the people below us where smoking on the balcony for most of the afternoon and evening which made it really difficult (as non smokers) to enjoy the balcony and the view, or leave the balcony door open. We mentioned it to reception and they apologised but because it was fully booked they told us they couldn't do anything about it. I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either. It has potential but it needs to be much cheaper, and/or updated to reflect the prices charged.

Check in Australia Day for 2 nights. I immediately knew I wanted to stay longer. So we booked an extra night. The rooms were amazing. Staff so friendly. Breakfast was great. Fur kid friendly which is such a bonus. Views to die for. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much

The Riverview room was clean with new fixtures and decently priced. The breakfast was excellent for an in house meal.

Booked 2 nights here loved it so much we stayed at extra night, A nice pool to dip in on those hot days.

Apartment 44 on the 3rd floor has a wicked wrap around balcony much bigger than the others. Get that one if you can.
Love this location, always have and still do. Over looking the Swanee, catching the sea breeze, a well appointed 1 bedroom apartment with all that's needed and little bit more.
Just 1 star off as it's a tad jaded after 30 years of use.
