Daylight robbery… 1 vindaloo beef curry (no rice) and 1 small potato curry…a staggering $37 bucks. This Phil guy is seriously taking the Piss… and yes it was takeaway.

Got dosa with dal and chutney, chicken biryani, okra masala. Chicken biryani very nice but different to other ones I tried before, maybe less spicy and a slight sweetness? Big chunks of chicken which is lovely. I was impressed that my toddler insisted on trying it and ate several small pieces of chicken even though she said it was hot and spicy haha she must have been enjoying it though. Both kids enjoyed the plain dosa by itself, they thought it was pizza lol. I enjoyed the dosa with the dal.
I'm wondering what is in the white chutney/sauce though, I've never tasted anything like it and it's very unusual.

Located in the Food Court of Malaga Markets, this little gem has been rediscovered by me.

Originally in the food court of Subiaco Markets in the 1990's till the Markets were closed down, the next time I came across Phil was when he owned Curry Affair in Malaga. He sold that a few years back and is now here.

The food is very good, Why? Because you can actually taste all the curries individually and not just have mouthfuls of spicy hot each time.

Choose the 2 meat & 2 veg set to share.

The Beef Vindaloo was tender & the "spiciest" but still most enjoyable.

The Goat Curry was flavourful and moreish.

The vegetables selected were an okra fry up that was buttery and a potato curry that was spiced enough to hold its own.

The Masala Dosa was heavenly with a crunch and the accompanying Dahl, vegetable sabar and coconut chutney just made it all very delicious.

Portions are huge and great value for money. The above two dishes could have fed three persons sharing.

I have been stalking this guy for years. 1st of was when he was in Subi markets then later to his shops in the suburbs. Now found him again in Malaga markets. His food has always been great quality and at reasonable prices. Dosai meals are the bomb.

Well done Phil. Amazing home cooked curry at a fraction of restaurant prices. Super tender lamb curry, amazing value with the free condiments

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Phil's Curry House, nestled within the vibrant Malaga Markets in Perth. This hidden gem, owned by the affable Phillip, serves up some of the most authentic and flavorsome Indian cuisine I've had the privilege to taste. The tantalizing aroma of freshly ground spices wafts through the market, drawing you into a world of culinary delight. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, with tender, succulent pieces of chicken that melted in your mouth. The naan bread was warm, soft, and the perfect accompaniment to mop up the generous portion of curry. The service was friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. Phil's Curry House is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of India in the heart of Perth.

Phil’s food is for the fussy eater! Beautiful authentic food and great pricing on top of that. The Goat curry is made with the leg only and the flavour is spot on.

Big portion and price is reasonable.
The chicken briani (not sure if spelling is correct) is tender. Rice is fragrant. Howerver, if it is take away doubt it will be easy to eat it as there is no gravy.

Phil makes a righteous dosa and was happy to swap the sambar for vindaloo gravy. Spicy, fresh Coconut chutney, decent dal. Recommend the combo Thalis too. Hidden gem of a curry shop.
