Phat Lon reviews
29The food here was tremendous and the service as good as I’ve experienced recently. Highly recommend
Went on 21/12 Thursday night. Staff very accomodating asked if we were ready a few times and showed menu. Also walk ins but sat us at a nice table. Food was plentiful and all very yum. Salad was very yum
I booked a table for 2 people for dinner a few weeks ago. The food is great and came out quickly, but prices were expensive. The servers forgot to bring us water (we had to ask for it twice), but managed to find water for 2 tables of over 10 people who were seated after us. When I asked if we could please have some water for the second time, the waiter responded that they were very busy and understaffed. We were seated in the back corner of the restaurant and I feel as though we were forgotten about. It also took over 25 minutes for our drinks order (1 x beer and 1 x cocktail) to come out. They came out when we were halfway through our mains. All in all, I wouldn't rush back.
We’d heard good things about Phat Lon and our experience did not disappoint! Delicious share plate dishes, friendly service and lovely decor. Will definitely be back!
Considering all the pig ornaments one would think the pork dishes would be the shinning dishes.
Sadly very tough lemongrass pork ribs and pork belly.
Also very dry lacking sauce.
Enchanted dining experience! Lovely waitresses helping us going through the menu and giving us suggestions; signature cocktails very refreshing and particular. We adored the fried squids and the octopus. Huge vegetables spring roll. The ambiance is so stylish and attentive to details: colored leaf hats are hanging on the ceiling, a yellow painted wall with a fake window, exotic flowers and plant make the environment welcome and at ease.
Service was good. Atmosphere was also good. Food, just ok at best. Some dishes tasted funny. Great location in leederville.
Nice place with good food and prompt reply for bookings. So nice they let us bring our small pet dog in the courtyard sitting.
Had a delicious dinner at Phat Lon last night. We over ordered as everything sounded amazing (would have been nice to be told we ordered too much for 2 people) but we were given containers to take home & everything reheated beautifully. Staff were fast, friendly very efficient. Food comes out fast, hot & delicious. Bathrooms were clean. Restaurant presentation is super cute! The white plaster piggies on the walls are the best & I wanted to pinch the Puggy tip jar from the front counter.
Drink menu is has a great selection of wines, soft drinks & some great cocktails that are well executed. The Espresso martini may be $24 dollars but it has the classic Vietnamese coffee (if you have never had Vietnamese coffee, please bloody go get one this weekend) & Hennessy) an exotic twist on a classic I must say. I will be going back many more times.
Great food + cold beers.
We had the feed me menu and we were stuffed. Reminded us of some of the favourite foods we tasted in Vietnam.
Looking foward to coming back soon.
Food is good as is the service but I cannot go past how expensive this place is. Around $100 for 4 small to medium dishes, no drinks.
The service was amazing, food was brought out super quick, the atmosphere was lovely, and oh my goodness, the food was delicious! We loved everything we tried. Looking forward to going back and trying more.
I organised a birthday dinner for 14 people at Phatlon, gotta say it was a great experience. I was in contact with Susie, who was really helpful and efficient (not something you get usually these days). Everyone who came said how great the food was. Yes it was noisy and busy, but isn't that a good sign of a popular restaurant? We will be back
Thank you for having us for a dinner.
The ambiance is great and lot of gram worthy decorations. They are licenced now and serve a nice selection of cocktails.
The staff were very lovely and the food was fresh and nice.
The betel leaf beef, fried chicken, octopus and NZ oysters were a highlight.
The least impressive dish was the pork spring roll and the pork belly didn't have enough flavour marinated deeply in the meat - it was just the taste of the sauce but the meat was plain.
Will be glad to return again!
Came here based on the reviews and were disappointed. The Salt and Pepper Squid was very oily as were the lace spring rolls. As if it had been cooked in warm oil. The pork belly was very salty and I like salt. The fish had way too much tamarind. Not sure what happened to the dishes but we were told the owner was doing the cooking. On a positive note the chicken curry, scallops and pork spring rolls were very nice as were the staff. Not overly expensive but don't think we will be returning
I celebrated my 21st birthday with 17 friends at Phat Lon and it was the most phenomenal night. The food was OUTSTANDING. The tamarind chicken wings were scrumptious and the grilled octopus was tender and delicious. I really enjoyed the satay chicken sticks, the charred flavour was phenomenal, as was the smooth satay sauce. The staff were so helpful leading up to the night and on the night, the service was outstanding. They allowed me to bring my own cake and alcohol and they were extremely helpful on the night. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Highly recommend booking yourself a table. Everything we ordered was impeccable. We hadn't even finished our meal when we started planning our next visit and what we would order. Get the chicken wings!
Nice decor, makes it feel authentic, food was good, nothing too special. We came a couple times to try out different things on the menu and while it was nice, nothing really stood out.
Been here a couple of times and loved it! The waitstaff are great and helpful with recommendations, the food is delicious and has good options for vegetarians also, the share style is lots of fun but the plates are also big enough if you just want to go it solo.
One of the best asian food in Australia, especially the Vietnamese beef wrapped in betel beef, pork tamarind, lemon grass pork belly, mama Phieu's special, octopus lemon peper in deeping sauce. Great services and good price. We would definitely come back in near future to try the entire menu.
Cheers
