I absolutely love training with Charlotte, she has been a huge help with my assistance dog and she is absolutely wonderful to work with.

I cannot recommend Charlotte and her team of trainers at PATS highly enough. As the owner of Wanneroo Veterinary Hospital, one of the sites of her puppy training classes, I can say that we have had a very satisfactory relationship with PATS that goes back years - with many, many of our clients, and other puppy owners from further afield, leaving as satisfied, confident and empowered new puppy owners. The space in our waiting room is ample, as the interactions of the puppy with their handler despite distractions is integral to their learning and development. This is such an important part of puppy training, and owner engagement.
We look forward to continuing our working relationship in the years ahead. Thank you Charlotte!

Beware of this puppy school. The trainer is condescending and made my puppy and family extremely uncomfortable during our one and only session. The classes are also very crowded (7-8 puppies with 2 handlers for each puppy as well as 4 staff members in a small waiting room of a vet clinic). When we requested for a refund which should be allowed within the time frame published on the website it was refused and subsequently ignored. Would not recommend. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

I have been enjoying workshops, classes and one on sessions with my teenager's assistance dog in training at PATS for almost 2 years now and I am honestly blown away by how amazing Charlotte and her staff are. They have been nothing but supportive, kind and genuinely caring throughout the the entire process. If you want a trainer who will care about your pets' health, well being and success just as much as you do, I can't recommend Charlotte and PATS highly enough.

I'd also like to address a negative comment made by someone recently using a made up name, giving PATS a 1 star review. This upsets me, as I feel it is misleading and appears to be from a fake account. Anyone who attends PATS workshops or classes is given many opportunities to discuss any issues with the staff and have any concerns addressed, so it frustrates me to see such an amazing business have their reputation publicly trashed like that without a genuine attempt to address any concerns and rectify any issues prior to posting such negative comments.

I read, with sadness, the review by COFFIN Coffin, regarding his or her puppy training experience. His or her experience is completely contrary to mine. My first contact with Charlotte and PATS was three and a half years ago, before I purchased my dog. Charlotte helped me choose the breed of dog that would best suit my needs. She did this with patience, kindness and care, despite multiple queries over several weeks, and that I was not paying client. I then took my 8 week old puppy to puppy preschool, several other group classes, and at least weekly individual classes for the next three years. Georgie is three years old, and our training with Charlotte and PATS continues. Charlotte is training Georgie as an assistance dog. Georgie loves Charlotte, and every PATS staff member Charlotte has carefully selected and effectively trained. With their help, I have a beautiful and well behaved dog who increases in confidence (she is an anxious dog) every day. I am a difficult client for Charlotte to work with. I have severe mental health issues, and training has been extremely difficult for me. Charlotte has shown me consistent patience and kindness. She has shown a willingness and aptitude to alter her training of me, and interactions with me, depending in my mental state and abilities. Charlotte is highly trained, has a love of all animals. During my long association with Charlotte, I have seen her with dogs, horses and other animals, and every interaction has been positive. All the animals I have seen respond very well to Charlotte. I have even seen Charlotte teach a pony to put a ball in a hoop on command, among other tasks. I have no hesitation in recommending Charlotte, and her staff, to anyone wanting assistance with training their puppies and dogs.

Disgusted with the service provided, lessons in a waiting room at local vets, and for what you pay and what you get a total rip off. Then they want you to buy their puppy training pack.no thanks and never again.
Dissatisfied customer.

A very positive experience. Direct when required but also encouraging. All accessories are available for purchase within the business which have proven to be very beneficial when at home. All staff are lovely and Charlotte is very knowledgeable. Staff are very supportive with the dog training.

Good facility and good trainers but it’s disappointing that the lady who runs the training session for us, Louisa, only demonstrates with a couple of the puppies and always the same ones. Being able to demonstrate exercises with all types of breeds in the class gives more confidence in their competence to train even the most excited of pups and that in turn means the owners feel more confident that their puppies can be trained too. The pups should not be chosen based on their ability to make the trainers look good, but rather the trainer should be able to demonstrate how they can teach any pup obedience in an example.

Charlotte was fantastic, she clearly knows her stuff. We saw her for our pup who was exhibiting strong signs of separation anxiety, Charlotte gave some fanatic tips and we were able to get our pup to be ok with some time alone.

My 6 month old puppy and I just had our first consultation with Charlotte and we instantly felt comfortable around her. My puppy who has anxiety around meeting new people warmed to her quickly which shows me that starting regular sessions with Charlotte is going to do him great!

Awful! I rang & spoke to a very personable young girl on the phone telling her I'm disabled & am applying for my dog to become an Assistance Animal. Told her I need him to be trained/tested for the Behavioral Obedience Assessment. She understood exactly what I said & needed, even helped me navigate the website & talk me thru the booking to the end. A couple of hours later I get a call from a much older woman who went thru the whole booking again for no reason. When I arrived in the day, I was met by an older woman & she told me she has to be somewhere at 3pm despite the fact that my I've hour appointment was booked from 2pm. This was not the young female I'd originally spoken to & chosen to book with, but was in fact the older abrupt women that had called me back for no reason. Now instead of assessing my dog to see what level he is at & how much training he may need before the assessment. She decided to make me feel uncomfortable by asking me questions about the accident I had that lost me my leg. She finally started to focus on Tazz by telling him 'sit' which I said to her is not a command I've taught him. She ignored me & kept doing it anyway& at the same time holding a treat in front of Tazz but that just infuriated him so she just gave it to him anyway. Then she started holding the treat up high above his head making stand up but again never giving him the treat. Now Tazz is 11yrs old & has had a Cruciate Ligament Operation & suffers arthritis now with a limp if not given medication each day to manage it. This really upset me & I told her about his operation & arthritis yet she continued to do this meaningless act. I asked her what that was ment to teach him, but she never answered me. As I looked into her eyes asking again, she stared back at me telling me how qualified she is, at the same time without looking at Tazz she fed him treat after treat after treat continuously for no good reason! Unbelievable! I said what are you doing feeding him like that? ! What training is that supposed to be teaching him? She then said, 'This session is over you can leave now. ' Without offering me a refund or an explanation of why she took this booking off the nicer personable female I'd originally booked with.
This Woman is not a nice person.
Oh yeah & I forgot to mention she asked me Tazz's age & after I told her he's just turned 11 on the 5th of January. She says,
"oh well he's too old & at the end of his life, so you'll want to start looking at getting another Dog, but I don't want you thinking about that. You just keep that in the back of your head for now & deal with it later. "
Unbelievably insensitive & unprofessional.
Don't let this this things manipulation of the truth with the written word decieve you.
She is a condescending, deceitful & nasty piece of work.

And she still hasn't given me my $97 back for the 10mins she spent with us.

Charlotte has an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience in animal behavior and training. After attending one of her training seminars I was very impressed with her presentations including "positive reinforcement" and her "hands off" handling and training methods. These techniques are scientifically proven, humane and nourish the relationship between owner and pet, absolutely vital information for everyone who wants the best for their beloved furry or feathered family members health, welfare and quality of life!

Thankyou so much Charlotte, you've made me a far better companion animal carer and feed my passion for pets!
