Dr Siva Gounder and the team at Perth Weight Loss & Surgery are incredible.
I met with another surgeon first and it didn't feel right, so I booked in to see Dr Gounder and it was a completely different experience. He talked about my options and I felt like I was getting the best advice for me. We booked in for my Gallbladder to be removed first which was done in July 2022. I then had my Mini Gastric Bypass in November 2022. I can say I have had a great recovery and been supported with the best advice from Dr Gounder and my dietician Emily. Thanks so much team, its still early days but I am looking forward to seeing where this journey take me.

I first met with Dr Siva in March 2022, Siva and his team helped me get my weight to where it needed to be so I could proceed with surgery in June 2022 (gastric sleeve). Everyone at his practice is friendly and helpful and I have found their program to be well guided and easy to follow to achieve my goals. It has now been 3 months since my surgery and I have lost 23.5kg but an overall total since the start of the year of 61kg. My surgery recovery went really smoothly with no complications, no gas pain and very limited pain after the surgery. Dr Siva was very professional and reassuring on the day of my surgery. It was my first ever surgery and I am so glad it was Dr Siva as my surgeon. I would definitely recommend Dr Siva to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

I was extremely unwell due to many issues, Dr Siva spent time investigating and developed a very clear program that would lead to recovery. Throughout every step I was kept informed and checked in with by Dr Siva and the team. From the very first appointment Dr Siva, Emily and the Clinic support staff were kind and extremely helpful and encouraging.
Every interaction I left feeling understood and supported, even having all of my appointments booked in advance for me.whilst my journey is not over I know the team are always there if I need help or support.

Found Siva and his team very professional from the very start to the end. My results have been amazing and i will be all the better for a long time to come.

Over 4 months since my operation by dr Siva Gounder and it’s been absolutely life changing. Nearly 40kgs down and besides having kids one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

I just would like to say from the first time meeting Dr Gounder's team at Cockburn for an information evening discussing everything about the the weight loss journey from pre-op to post-op was outstanding. I went in unsure about what I needed to do to coming out feeling I need to go ahead with the op. I felt I am now ready in my mind to take the next step to book an appointment with Dr Gounder.

When I went in to talk to Dr Gounder he was very professional and I felt comfortable about our discussion and made a date for surgery. I then had an appointment with the dietician who was very professional and there was no judgement from anyone in the office. They were all so professional and helpful.

When I had my surgery I couldn't believe how quickly I started loosing weight. The surgery and after care went really well. The follow up appointments have been really good with lots of positively and encouragement. I love being able to get onto the Facebook page and see how everyone is traveling. You have all had a huge part in changing my life. I have lost 28kg in 3 months. I am so happy.

At first when i met him in 2018 for my surgery, he seemed professional & i proceeded with my surgery & was happy to pay a $2600 gap with my private health. I started having major reflux again in late 2019 & when & saw him in early 2020 in midland. He seemed more interested if i had funds for a second surgery rather than my health & a 2nd surgery was risky & it would have costed more. He was rude & brushed me off. I was extremely disappointed. This all seemed strange to me until I sort a second opinion & saw another Doctor specializing in bariatric surgery. After a CT scan & a endoscopy, the surgery Gounder completed was an absolute disaster & not done correctly. Then a third Doctor opinion confirmed this. Now I've had surgery again to undo his old operation & redo the surgery from start. I feel ripped off & don't recommend this guy to anyone. There are Dr's that are genuinely interested in your health & there are profiteers that simply want to churn & DGAF about your health.
RIPPED OFF & DISSAPPOINTED.

Dr Gounder and his team are outstanding. With a personable approach and all questions answered, I could not recommended a better clinic to take care of your surgery. From the moment you step in the door until you discharge from the hospital, it's plain sailing. I could never find enough words to thank him in turning my life around.

"The results speak for themselves" I am now past the 6 months point after my procedure and have moved from Obese to Healthy weight range.
The saying "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" is very true.

From the very start, Reception is warm and welcoming. The front desk staff are very helpful and Siva Gounder is a professional, yet caring man who is interested in how you are and what YOU want, not what is necessarily manadated weight wise. Everything is there for you - the Nutritionists are lovely and will help you in any way they can with dietry requirements and well being, and there is also Psychiatric counselling if you need.
This is the best decision I've ever made! I have no regrets whatsoever.
