Great camping getaway for a night or two. Not far from Perth CBD (approx 45 mins). Facilities include showers and toilet blocks. There’s a kitchen area with an electric kettle, toaster, fridge and freezer, and two park-style gas BBQs. Makes for a simple camping trip and I found the grounds and facilities well-kept and clean. Campfires allowed in concrete fire pits when there are no bans. I brought my own firewood but the camp hosts had bags of jarrah for sale. Perfect camping option for families and even younger children. You can’t drive directly to the campsite so if you have a lot of stuff consider bringing a wheelbarrow or cart to help tote your gear from the car park. Otherwise it’s not too far to carry things if you pack relatively light.

A bit tired and in need of investment but clean showers/toilets. Great campsite for overnight out of Perth.

Although I am not a fan of this campsite, I will give credit where it’s due. Great for camping if you have kids or little ones and it’s just up the road from the Mundaring Weir Hotel, CY O’Connor lookout and the Dam. Plus no park fees payable except for camping fees. Showers and toilets available as well as a camp kitchen with fridge! Campsites 1 to 8 are better as they look out toward the trees although sites 7 and 8 are close to the camp kitchen. Don’t rely on the mud map on the website, it is really not to scale! We were on site 11 and site 10 was literally less than 5 steps away from us. Use the lookout near the campsite (on mud map) for a nice brekky area if the camp kitchen gets too crowded. Campground backs onto the Bib Track so it’s convenient for walkers and hikers. There are camp hosts there in the caravan at the entrance to sign you in and they have a trolley to help you move your camping gear to your site. There is absolutely no drive through for vehicles. I found this campsite nice but not private enough but may return to short one or two night stays and NOT during the school holidays! That being said the campers were pretty considerate when we were there and all was pretty much silent around 9.40pm but this could be our unique experience so don’t rely fully on it!:)

Great place to stay! Great facilities. New shower and toilet block. The amenities are fantastic. The shared outdoor kitchen was great. Definitely going back with the family in tow

Frequent campers and camped here frequently cause is such a convenient location and facilities is awesome. However, this round, the ranger (elderly lady) put me off, never have I met a ranger like her, constantly on our face to give us unnecessary advise and comments (telling me shouldn't bring all these stuff, too much? Picnic mat should not be put on the grass, put it on the paver instead?), what an unpleasant experience!

Very welcoming, very clean. With very comfortable equipment available: hotplates, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle. For tents only. The strong point: located in a magnificent forest with many paths.

Great camping grounds for first time campers or families. Kitchen equipped with BBQ, fridge, hot water. Showers and toilets are very clean. The ground for tents is a bit small though for big tents

Says it's free camping but its not and you have to book online then you get there with a rooftop tent and you can't camp as it's walk in only so beware currently it's 15 dollars a might weekends only and it's not 24 hours but if you know it is a pleasant little spot but no good off you are a roof top tent it does say no Camper trailers or vans though

Really well maintained camp site, everything is clean! Ambulant toilets included. Volunteer Allan is such a nice man. But if you like to play loud music this camp site might not suit you.

Stayed here in March 22. Very good area for camping but has a few issues.
Campsite map is very deceiving and pitches are very small and some literally one metre apart. Larger tents over four man probably won't fit. The floor where you camp is covered in fine mulch or sawdust and gets everywhere you don't want it so advisable to use a big tarp under the tent. You can hear people next to you all night even moving in the tent. The car park is about 40 metres away so advisable to use a trolley or cart if you have lots of stuff. The camp kitchen is very good and close to campsites but the toilets and showers are probably another 40 metres away.
The toilets and showers are very good and nice and clean but a long walk in the middle of the night.
It is a good place to stay and great for new campers but don't expect space or peace and quiet.

Lovely site for a family camp. Clean facilities, space for kids to play and an outdoor cinema practically on site - what's not to like about this site! We were met by the camp volunteer who was so friendly and helpful over the weekend.

I called in to ask about the camp-site and was met by the most unhelpful group of people ever. I would not recommend this place

Great for beginner campers. Very clean toilets and showers. Full range of kitchen facilities. Unfortunately it was a Sunday so couldn't find any firewood to buy, should have brought our own.

Perth Hills area is a wonderful natural beauty filled with native flora and fauna. It truly is a must visit spot for visitors and locals, I regularly drive up from my nearby home. There really is nowhere on the planet quite like the Australian bush, a unique array of plants that even when not in bloom still offer a sight to be seen.

Nice campground, with complete facilities. Clean and enjoyable. However, if you're after a proper camp this will disappoint you. It's more of a kid friendly, new camper friendly, first time camper type of site.
