Perth French Tutor

I signed up with Linda last year as I was planning a trip to France. Initially it was for the tourist course but as Covid put a stop to my holiday and I was enjoying learning French with Linda, I decided to keep going with weekly lessons.
Not only is Linda French but she is also a really good teacher. She is very engaging, very happy to tailor the lessons to your own personal needs. She has given me some very good suggestions on how to complement the lessons, which has helped me learn a lot faster than I had anticipated.
I also really appreciate how she explains the nuances of the language and culture, why some ways of saying things will come across as being quite rude to the French people and also her attention to pronunciation. And importantly if I have a question or can’t understand the homework between lessons I can always email her and she will respond within the day so you never feel “alone” in your French journey.

Linda is a wonderful teacher and I look forward to attending my lessons with her every week. Her friendly and approachable manner makes learning French an enjoyable experience. Linda always takes the extra step to explain the context in which you will use the words or phrases and she gives examples that are easy to grasp and remember. Also, when correcting a mistake, she does so encouragingly and is always so patient.

It’s not often you meet a teacher that makes learning fun!

My daughter first saw Linda in October 2018; as we wanted a one-on-one support which the bigger French educator could not offer: She was at the time in Year 11 taking French 2nd Language ATAR and French was her lowest mark by far at 55%.

She has gained not only a greater appreciation, but love of the language during her time with Linda. Scoring a school Year 12 mark of 75% for French ATAR. Enabling a predicted 98.5 ATAR score.

She has already been provisionally accepted to 2 leading European Universities to study French (including Global Top 20 Uni).

The additional support, interest and diversity (not just curriculum) ; certainly helped along with advice on what examiners wanted to see in responses to secure above average marks.

Linda provides a well-rounded approach to learning French. She provides ample resources and is clearly well-hearsed in the nuances of the language. She explains and contextualises concepts in simple-to-understand ways, which makes learning enjoyable and encouraging. For a beginner like myself, she has helped accelerate the learning process and has got me to a good foundation level already (within 2 months).

I highly recommend Linda. She is highly qualified, knows how to teach using different styles, and most importantly understands the needs of her student.

It has been a real pleasure. Linda is very well organised and teaches base on your level of ability. None of the lessons were too stressful. Lessons are taught in a comfortable pace, and Linda is always so approachable to answer any questions or to repeat herself again.

Linda is the most amazing tutor!
Not only Is she a kind, caring and an easy to get along with host. Linda also creates a fun and happy learning environment, making each lesson a great and positive experience.

Personality aside, Linda is an excellent teacher. Her knowledge of the french language and how to teach it is amazing! I can appreciate that every lesson is structured for me to learn at a pace that im comfortable learning at. In addition, when i get stuck on some things, Linda always finds a way of explaining it so that I can easily understand.

I would highly recommend Linda and look foward to continue learning french.
