Peko Peko reviews
37Amazing vegetarian paper rolls with a wide range of sauces. Staff is a bit slow to welcome new customers but otherwise great place to grab some Sushi.
Food is great. Lots of gluten free options. Very busy place so be prepared to line up at peak times.
Got two "discount" sushi rolls for $7 each (there weren't many normal rolls left).
While I understand discount food is usually older I expect its still at an edible standard or it shouldn't be sold at all.
The rice was rock solid and the chicken was looking very sus.
Disappointing considering the stores in the city are usually high quality.
Just chuck the rolls in the bin if not fit for human consumption.
Friendly, courteous staff. We ordered teriyaki bento. It was okay but nothing like a Bento box you'd buy at a combini in Japan. Way too westernised in presentation, ingredients and flavour. Not the japanese experience we expected.
This is the 3rd time in the last month that they seem to be running out of food. There is no choice, the shelves are bare. There are people in the kitchen but not willing to make anything.
Why are you open if you don't want to serve customers?
Went there on Thursday this week as we really needed some Sashimi. The food was fresh and tasty. Not sure I will ever get used to yellow sushi rice as I have a Japanese mum, however we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the young lady who served us was so delightful with the most beautiful welcoming smile. Great little place and the Japanese dressing I bought is lovely.
Went into Dunsborough looking for dinner to takeaway to our accommodation and stumbled on this little place. What a great find!
Excellent vege and meat-based options. Generous servings and sides as well if you're extra hungry!
Yum!
Now that’s affordable! Many dishes to choose from and everything is fresh and tasty! Large servings too. What’s not to like?
Yes! This place is a must with sometimes for everybody, great service, and fresh delicious food!
Went here because looking for a light dinner, so wanting sushi. Was quite surprised that it’s not a usual sushi place, it was very ‘healthy’ takeaway sushi place. There are limited tables outside. They have interesting flavour of sushi, drinks, snacks and everything, just quite unique. Because we came late evening, I think there were limited sushi left. Tried the balinese sambal chicken sushi and bulgogi beef sushi, ice lemon tea and sugar free soda. The sushi rice is yellow, but tastes like normal rice sushi. I assume it has some turmeric in it? Bulgogi sushi was just ok, not much flavour. Balinese sambal chicken sushi has nice flavour, although not spicy at all. Ice lemon tea was ok, I really enjoyed the sugarless soda.
Went there hence great reviews. But it was pretty average at best. Meals are already prepared and microwave is there for you to heat it up and food was dry and tasteless. Hope that I just hit wrong day and this is not usual…
Ate here a coupple of times, love the food, friendly and happy staff, would recommend if you're on holiday in Dunsborough and can't be faffed with cooking, but don't want to spend a firtune eating out.
Delicious! So many "healthy", scrumptious and well portioned options to choose from. Have had a few meals to share with my husband the last week or so and we have enjoyed everything we tried from the chicken salad bowl, to different types of sushi, rice paper rolls and yummy curry/soup/meat-based bowls.
We were after a quick bite to takeaway and eat and probably made an error choosing this place. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was all pre-packaged takeaway but design more for easy re-heat at holiday accommodation, not on-the-road eats. The staff did what they could to make it easier for us (heated the meals, allowed us to dine in) but had to chase our food up twice before we got it.
Would probably give it a second chance as a simple holiday meal, not a quick bite on the run.
Easy, nutritious, tasty,
bonus yum yum in the tum tums. Go get sums.
Get some Sneaky Wholefoods snacks while your there
Long wait, missed my order in the kitchen, i was not impressed but when I sat down to eat the food it made up for the long wait.
I'm Korean and we LOVE our fusion. Mixing ingredients and cultures but turmeric sushi is the avant garde stuff of imagination that no one asked for.
Very lovely and warm service from smiling staff- even when they are absolutely flat out. The food is amazing and the variety is wonderful. I’ve literally spent thousands of dollars here over the last few years. Only downfall is seeing the prices rise often, and if I’m honest the size of certain foods is shrinking (how much curry or salad is in the bowl, how thick the sushi is). I otherwise thoroughly enjoy Peko Peko Dunsborough, and the new location is easier to access than the previous.
It used to be excellent which is why i didn't mind paying big $$ for sushi. The past 2 times I have visited the sushi rolls have been thin, loose and the beef chewy. It has gone downhill a lot in recent months
Bought two curries. The Indian one was decent, the Japanese curry didn't taste like Japanese curry though and the rice was a bit hard. I wouldn't particularly recommend here but it was pretty much the only thing open at the time.
