Would not recommend anyone using this mechanic shop. Very lazy in work ethic. Bonnet leaver was tampered with. Sensor switch unplugged for air intake. Dismounted professionally installed led lights after cutting wiring!

Failed because the battery terminal cover was missing and my lights were a tiny bit foggy on one side.

Easy to get an appointment for a registration change. Place was easy to find and good parking. Service was efficient and easy to complete. They were open and honest about costing and costing changes.

I am disappointed that on a 2nd vehicle inspection after all the items which were highlighted on the 1st inspection were rectified that a whole bunch of new items were identified on the 2nd inspection. The vehicle has not been driven since as it is unregistered, the only time it has been driven is to Pebco. So why weren't the issues on the 2nd inspection identified on the 1st? I am not questioning the thoroughness of the inspector on the 2nd visit. It does seem to be questionable that we the public do not have access to the vehicle inspection regulations prior to having an inspection so we can ensure compliance. My concern with the process in place by WA transport is open to individual interpretation. For that reason I can not recommend Pebco, as I feel there is a no consistency within their inspection workshop. I will address the issues raised by the vehicle inspector, and under the freedom of information act, I will be requesting a copy of the WA transport guidelines prior to my next vehicle inspection.
Note, the majority of positive reviews are for their mechanical workshop repairs. My review is not questioning their vehicle servicing and corrective work.

After booking my car in for inspection, I started to read the varied reviews and started to second guess my decision.
If I had to find a fault with PEBCO, it could only be that they were running 15 minutes behind.
The waiting area was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and professional.

Heir license to inspect vehicles should have been reviewed and revoked. They are ripper and became corrupted.

The first PTV certificate was rejected by the Transport Department due to a mistake and they asked me to get new one but you guys charged me again $129.00, I already explained to the girl at your reception that it was your mistake and you should not charge me for the second time but she refused and asked me to pay again $129.00. By the way the second time you just added some missing information on the certificate and i have copy of the first and second certificate.

I took my car to check an oil leek. At the end of the day, they called me telling that they don't fix that leek and that ALL the emergency lights were on. When I left it, I told them that happened when I washed the van underneath, thing they did again to find the leek and caused the lights to turn on again.
At the end of the day, I had to pay for their work, even when they couldn't fix what I needed and they return the van with all emergency lights on.
The extra star is because the pit inspection I did weeks earlier with them was good and fair.

Dishonest or just using dodgy tools. I got my vehicle inspected and was correctly called out for fused bulbs. However, they failed a vehicle tint that has been on the car for 4 years and has been through a state inspection in VIC and WA most recently in 2021.

I went to another workshop for a reinspection and using their tool they were able to pass the vehicle tint instantly. The tint was darkest legal and there was no way it should have failed

Talks with my mates confirmed that Pebco should not have been my choice. I was short of time and had to go to my nearest inspection spot - so disappointed and caused so much unnecessary stress. Please look after your customers and be honest.

Pebco are the best. The service at Pebco is second to none. You can save a lot of money by getting the right job done first time. I found that the team at Pebco do the right thing every time.

For instance, I had had two other mechanics look at my brakes, the one company said there was nothing wrong with them, but there was.

A second company I went to, took money off me and said they'd done the brakes, but the brakes were still very bad?

I gave it to Pebco and they finally did what really needed doing, which was actually a fair bit of work, but then my brakes were excellent.

Good job too, that probably saved my life, because a P plater pulled out in front of me on a greasy road in wet weather, and I just had enough time to gently squeeze the brakes to avoid a T-bone collision.

Safety is an important thing. Pebco give me good confidence in all they do.

They do licence inspections and all things mechanical.

Staff are excellent as are management. A can do attitude prevails. They are attentive to detail and get the job right first time.

Do yourself a favour and give Pebco a try, you can relax knowing you are in safe hands.

I had an inspection this morning and was nervous looking at some reviews below. My ute failed as I needed to replace some globes and another minor fix, I was advised if I could get them done with the help of the auto team, I could get passed without needing to pay for another inspection and muck around with more bookings. This was extremely helpful for me and it's clear they're not out to fail everyone like some of these reviews suggest. The auto team were very prompt and helpful. Great job

I recently moved to perth and went for car inspection to pebco. Staff is friendly, especially owner Patt. Service is good. Recommended

I had to pass my plate from NSw to WA so I had to do the inspection, every single year I passed in NSW but here, it didn't pass. The only thing that was not safe I had to fix my seatbealt, but they found more things to fix. So I got my car to the worshop, the first reaction of them wasn't really friendly, so they will call me to try to see If they can find the pieces. All good, I will drop my car off the next day. When I got there, anyone knew anything that I was going to leave my car, really bad comunication. So they told me my car could be ready that day and they will call me to let me know. Of course I had to call them and then they could explain it was going to take more days. So finally I went to pick up my car and I had to oay 824 when they told me less money but anyway, but for my surprise all inside was REALLY mess they used my spare tyre and they couldn'tp ut it back properly and all my staffs were thrown away in my car. Bloddy unrespecful. Expensive, no quick and mess.

Had service and repairs done on my 100 series turbo diesel at short notice whilst travelling. All staff were super friendly and co-operative. I was also offered the use of a courtesy vehicle. I did query the invoice but all charges were fully explained to me. After driving the vehicle, I was more than happy with the money spent. Highly recommend Pebco.

I got my car inspected here and after a month of terrible experiences with mechanics and the dot this was the saving grace. They managed to slot me in the same day I called, were very efficient and went out of their way to discount the cost. The staff were very friendly and made the whole process so much less stressful. Would recommend.

Had my AU XR8 DOT inspected today for re-licensing by Inspector 2. After a thorough inspection the vehicle passed. Very good service and on-line booking system. All on time.

The mechanic was a d###head broke my window, never go there again, good luck anybody talking your car there!

Booked my car in with these guys for a pit inspection / yellow sticker. Could not be happier with the service. Was a re inspection, but passed the 14 days given.they still only charged for the re inspect and only what was On the list.my local who did the first wanted to do another full inspection and charge the full amount again, then just never bothered replying. Just as well! Highly recommend PEBCO. Lovely reception staff, booked me In at short notice, friendly genuine crew. Not out to rip off. Made my day thankyou

Best place for inspection had my Nissan 350z&Mercedes inspected and they were the best would definitely recommend them.

Really happy with the inspection and service. Kept me in the loop as there were numerous repairs that needed doing. Wouldn't hesitate to plan future services knowing my car is in good hands. Cheers Shayne
