Pearl River Chinese Restaurant & Takeaway

The wanton soup was a generous bowl of comfort in the winter cold. The stir fry beef hor fun was a nice surprise and expertly fried with the right amount of wok hei. However, the piece de resistance has to be the crispy duck with plum sauce. Never tried anything like that anywhere else. Thank you so much for the warm service and excellent food.

Coeliac friendly!
Finally a Chinese that understands coeliacs and caters for our needs.

The food was expensive and poor quality. Maybe they had a bad night but we wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I also recommend that you double check that they charge you what the menu says.

Pearl River (City Beach) is delicious. Meals always prepared with care for my Coeliac/Vegetarian family. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions. Portions are generous.

Excellent quality food, huge menu many choices. Owner was extremely friendly which is something missing at most Asian Restaurants unfortunately.

Came for dinner with my girlfriend and was welcomed with smilingly faces and a beautiful and tidy restaurant, i ordered rice and crispy lemon chicken which was both delicious and absoloutley filling as we we’re given quite generous portions, alongside with some chinese tea an delicious deep fried ice cream which was absoloutely to die for, could not recommend this place enough

We have ordered take away at Pearl River for years and have found the food to be exceptional. Unfortunately post takeover, we have found the food quality to have declined over the past 6 months and especially since reopening. Our last fried rice dish was inedible, soggy and tasteless. The honey chicken is primarily pillows of batter and the prawn crackers went straight into the bin. Such a shame for them as they were our ‘go to’. It was a little off putting picking up your food to always be asked to provide a review and have to hear about UBER EATS inflated prices harming their business too. I hope that they improve as they don’t have too much competition unfortunately.
