Parks Tavern & Restaurant reviews
41Had a really good night there last week. There were 8 of us and everyone enjoyed their food. So nice to be served by cheery staff who obviously enjoy what they do ️️️
Went for dinner tonight, no booking just rocked up, seated by very polite helpful staff.
There was a nice wine selection. I had a pumpkin sage ravioli, it was delicious. Hubby had a porterhouse steak veg & sauce, he really enjoyed it.
Good wine
Good food
Wonderful staff
Compliments to the Chef on our superb meals and the service was fabulous. Will be eating there again.
I had a dinner booking made for 20-25 people with the then manager Alex, upon arrival the bar manager informs me that they weren’t aware of our reservation. I myself traveled over 4 hours for this dinner.
However the team on duty went above and beyond our expectations, seated us in the dining room and everyone enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. So thank you Parks tavern.
We went for dinner with friends and were all very happy with the seniors meals and fantastic rhubarb crumble for dessert. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Food was good, HOWEVER the service wasn't great. Took awhile to be seated because the "only staff member who knew about bookings" was busy. My friend ordered a surf and turf and they forgot the "surf" part of her food. The waitress was very apologetic for tgis. It wasn't an overly busy night yet we waited near an hour for out meals
While we understand this is a child friendly establishment the fact no one said anything to the parents who allowed children to fly paper planes through the restaurant was troubling. There only seemed to be one waitress on duty causing further delays.
Barely acknowledged when arrived. Staff were not friendly. Took nearly an hour to receive food which was not worth waiting for. Fish & chips very oily, pottk belly was miniscule and mostly fat. Will not recommend or return.
Great place for tradies. Relaxed atmosphere. No bells and whistles but the beer is cold and the staff are friendly. Lots of options for beer on tap.
Very poor quality and inexperienced staff.
Kids meals were second to last to come out (we were a large group booking).
My steak was way overcooked and looked like it had been chopped with an axe, it was not a nice cut at all. A medium rare steak should be pink inside, not brown all the way through.
The bacon in the burgers was dangerously undercooked.
I will stop at that, as I don't have anything nice to say unfortunately, other than we will wait for it to change hands before dining there again.
Visiting from Perth and one of the locals recommended we have dinner here. Really glad he did, hubby had beef cheeks which was delicious and the steak sandwich will definitely be a contender for WA's best. New chef, if you haven't already been put it on your list!
Been a few times before and things have been generally ok. Food is very reasonable, good choice of drinks, on tap especially; hence two stars. Unfortunately on this occasion, the place was barely a quarter full, I had even rang beforehand to gauge waiting time which I was told that it wouldn't be an issue. An hour and a half after ordering our meals were served. No offer of free garlic bread or free drink to compensate, and worst of all, no update of wait time or any explanation or apology.
Was there today disgraceful took 15 minutes to get a drink and nobody was there. We ordered and my club sandwich had bbq sauce on it.i am allergic so couldn't eat this but this wasnt on the menu I asked if it could be replaced and the waitress said it's going to be a bit of a wait. There were 4 people in the restaurant and it was just a sandwich including us. I waited another half an hour and still nothing got no apology for this. DISGRACEFUL wont be back. In the end got my money back.hate to see this place if it ever gets busy and the chef was throwing pans around which we could clearly see very unprofessional.
I stopped in to get a bite to eat and was met by extremely rude staff with no social skills whatsoever.i probably would have been ok with it but the food was terrible.ill be finding another venue to spend my money from now on.
Thanks to Mandy who looked after us and everybody else absolute professional with a magic touch
Good service and food the beer battered fish and chips were good the snapper was excellent and the chips with a hint of paprika and Moroccan spice were tasty
The food was very average my ribs were full of gristle and hard to cut through let alone eat, my daughter got pasta and it smelt and tasted like chemicals and salads were old n dry, waitress was friendly but wasn't too interested in listening to feedback on the meals and the chef just shrugged his shoulders when told about it, would have been better getting maccas next door
We had a group of 6 in the restaurant and half ordered the steak special and the other three ordered Polo Gamberi, Carbonara and Chicken Caesar Salad.
The Polo Gamberi was on point with taste, the chicken was cooked beautifully, though just lacked in the potato department, even just a few more pieces of roasted potato would have been better but that sauce was amazing, full of flavour.
The Carbonara was delicious and was a large portion, no complaints here.
The Chicken Caesar was ok, the chicken was dry and the croutons were massive and hard to pin down, pretty sure a few went flying off the plate.if these two things had been better the dish would have been great.
Finally the steak special.
The steak itself wasn't very nice, it had no flavour and possibly the worst steak they'd had in a while. The salad and chips were typical of a pub meal though. We had to play wheel of fortune with the plates though, for some reason the plates weren't quite flat on the bottom and we had to chase the food round and round.
The service was average, we were the only people in the restaurant and it took ages to get our food, it was hard to get any staff members attention and when we went to the bar to get more water we were ignored by quite a few staff members before finally being served 10-15 minutes later, again we were the only people in there.
This place was the only pub/restaurant in the whole of Bunbury and surrounds that wasn't booked out, or booked at all for that matter.
This restaurant could be a good place to go if they address these issues as there are a few reasons why they weren't booked out at Christmas time.
Fingers crossed they pay attention to the complaints.
Bar maid won't smile. Very young. Needs training. Seems to be more interested in her mobile phone. Training is vital to any business.
Delicious steak & prawns, cream brule was so nice.
Friendly service and good value large serves.
$10 cocktails!
Popped in to the Parks Tavern Restaurant on a Friday night, for a meal with my sister. A friendly greeting as we entered, was really a great start to the night. Service was very good and we ordered our drinks and a meal. Drinks came in little time and were nice and cold.
