Parkerville Tavern reviews
64 Great local for a day trip. Fast friendly service, good outdoor area for the kids, and a nice selection of beers on tap.
Great local pub.
Went for a short hike at John Forest National Park to work up and apetite.
Our first time here. Plenty of large tables outside and fantastic to be able to scan a QR code to order food and drinks from the table. With Vodafone though it was a struggle.
Took 10 minutes for good quality pub food to arrive. Fresh and tasty. Good portions. It was 12.30 and I expected at least a half hour wait on food. Will be back. Great outdoor area for kids. Warm and cosy indoors.
1st time at this tavern, the ribs was great plenty of meat on the bone only thing i could fault was what appeared to be alot of cigarette ash all over the table (inside) and also some on the plates and cutlery. Haven't been put off by this as it could of have easily been missed by accident so that said we will return.
The fish and chips use to be great. Crisp, light, fresh and tasty. Last two times I've ordered it has arrived within 5 minutes, concluding that it has been precooked along with the oily tasteless battered fish and limp soggy chips. What a senseless way to pissoff a regular customer.
Attended with a large group and the food orders were fast but the food itself was nothing special. Nice location to visit for day trip from the metro area but don't expect anything amazing.
My wife and I went for a drive up to the Perth Hills for lunch and decided on the Parkerville tavern. Cannot recommend it highly enough, great customer service, the food came out very quickly and was all really delicious, wine was superb beer was cold and the fire was warm and inviting, we will definitely be back for to check out the famous Parky Sunday session. 5 stars all the way.
Love this place. It's great for the kids and the food is really good. Best pizza around the hills and the chips are nice and hot, contrary to other reviews.
-1 star because we booked a table in advance, we arrived on time and learnt after attempting to turn us away that they had given our table to someone else. - 1 another star because even though they found us a table, it took 15 minutes just for them to give us a food menu. - 1 another star because every time I tried to get attention of staff back was turned and they walked away. I could not have been louder - 1 star because we drove 40 minutes to get there to have a Sunday roast, after waiting a further 40 minutes from when we sat down, when we finally got the attention of someone to order our food they told us they were sold out. Was only just after 7pm.
Went for a coffee and lunch today. Was told by the manager that "unfortunately the coffee machine is still switched on (they had just opened) and that nobody in hospitality likes making coffee". I was astounded and said that he had a bad attitude. He responded that he was just telling me the truth. The waitress was really polite and made the coffees. We ordered roast chicken and burger and chips for lunch. The roast consisted of a decent portion of chicken, 2 sprouts, a couple of carrots and some peas. It was barely warm. My burger was nice but also barely warm. We won't be going back.
Went here for the 1st time to celebrate with family. Loved the atmosphere. We sat outside under cover. The bench seat was a bit uncomfortable. The staff were friendly. Look forward to returning one day.
Attended today in a group of 19 to celebrate brothers bday. The food orders were confused with numerous orders incorrectly prepared, which happens. However, the way these inconveniences were handled was rude. My brothers burger was missing the two extras ordered and he politely returned the food to have this corrected and after waiting 10mins his food was returned the same without the extras and he was told he didn’t order or pay for these. He insisted he did pay for them and that he saw them on the docket and he accepted the food now cold and not correct. Wait staff returned to say oh sorry actually that they are on the docket and offered to bring the extras on the side but he had by this time almost finish his meal. She walked away after a quick sorry and did not offer a refund. So they were so very concerned at the thought of given a few jalapeños away for free but happy to take your money and not provide the produce you paid for. My food was also missed the jalapeños I ordered and my husband left his meal to go and collect these for me! After a couple of hours we were told to leave the table in an abrupt and rude manner, when I asked to clarify what was going on (after playing with the kids in the play area) the duty manager tapped his finger in a note on the table and said it’s says here only till 3pm we have the table booked to another group. Of course many of us did not see the notice bc there were almost 20 people at the table so things were all over it ie gifts bags and glasses and plates and so on. Again perfectly fine to politely ask us to move to another table but I was spoken to in a manner that totally soured our celebration! I think the Parkerville’s popularity has made them complacent with terrible service and rude staff who don’t care if you return or not bc they think they will always be busy. I won’t be back. I recommend Bailey Brewing House, went there couple of weeks earlier and despite their popularity they still manage to get it mostly right and are keen to please their guests.
Such a beautiful place to just have a nice meal and a good beer with family or friends! The staff were so kind and had a personal connection to the tavern! Such a homely vibe! The food was outstanding! Great quality and great presentation to with it!
10/10 would recommend to anyone thinking about giving this place a visit!
Such an excellent and well organised venue for a Mother's Day celebration! The staff were so kind and efficient, the food was fabulous and there was so much for the kids to do! We had a fantastic day today, thankyou to everyone working there for all their hard work to make a special day for all the families
Great venue, great food, great service and great customer care. Thanks Jim from the Corvette Corvette Club of WA for all the efforts of yourself and your team to make our event a success. We all loved The Parkerville and will be back.
If i could leave a negative star I would.
Overpriced for unsatisfying food was the major complaint.
Not even close to hearty pub meals.
Had a table of 15 and over 10 had issues with service and food - kids meals were good go figure.
Staff were rude and made customers feel like they were less than the precious LOCALS
Got the Gravy Roll and it had 3 layers of mayo
Dont forget your shark teeth if you want to bit through the meat.
Management response - " some girls like mayo and some dont" - "ill speak to the chef".
No refund. No apologies.
A beautiful piece if hills culture, Anibal enclosure has been there since I was a little girl do at least 35yrs, and I have find memories, buce to see kids enjoying the experience 35yrs later.
Really delicious food, I had the Korean chicken wings and they were great. Play area for the kids is good too, my done loved the tractor.
Nice venue and good service. Would like to see vegetarian/vegan options on the old-timers menu. Had a rainbow salad which was very good.
A really nice relaxing pub with a great outdoor area to sit under the trees in the shade and enjoy a drink and a meal while listening to the entertainment.
It's always a joy to visit the Parky with good friends, and steak night was a winner! This pub always has a great vibe about it.
