The care from the gps at park medical is truly excellent, which is very hard to find! I was treated with great kindness when I went to the wrong location and was able to re book easily. My health concerns are treated with respect and kindness, I won’t consider going anywhere else.

Today I had an appointment at 4: 30 and went to the receptionist to check in. I was 30 minutes early for my appointment and asked if the doctor was able to see me earlier. The receptionist said no so I went next door to the Priceline to kill time as I waited.

When I came back into the office I had a seat in the waiting area and at 4: 32pm the receptionist called me on my mobile while in the waiting area and asked if I was coming to my appointment.

She then proceeded to explain that it was her 3rd time doing that today with someone and that she is sorry and she will mark that I am in the waiting area ready to be seen.

This is when Kim Oates comes out to call my name and pulls me into her office. I proceed to tell Kim that I was in the ED on Saturday due to a 9 day migraine and it was not subsiding. I waited in the ED for 12 hours and the doctors saw that there is nothing sinister happening and that there are no severe neurological issues even though I had a few strokes before.

Kim took this information down and my history of this issue and went through a list of things that I am able to do to help the migraines as they are hormonal. I am currently doing 90% of the things on the list to help support the migraines and headaches and am looking for another alternative. She did not ask if I was already doing these things she just gave the suggestions and expected they weren't being done. She gave me a script of rizatriptan to try but I expressed that I am looking for something longer term to support as I have had migraines since the age of 10-11yrs old.

Kim offered a Mirena which I am said I was uncomfortable with and pressed the issue on why. Even with my answer as to why she still persisted as it might help due to the migraine being hormonal. I think if someone is uncomfortable with putting anything in their uterus that should be the end of the discussion regardless if the doctor thinks it would support.

While I was in the consultation Kim expressed that "she needs to get to her next patient" before she was completed with all of my questions and concerns. Even if she is falling behind that does not mean that I am seen to less. Especially since the receptionist marked me as a late/no show.

She then offered to refer me to a neurologist as Botox could be used to treat the migraines and I said that I would like to look into this further. But then resisted to give me any more information on how and when this should be done as she is the doctor of course and I am not. I think Kim needs to understand that she is speaking to someone who is not in her mind and to slow down and explain a bit more of the process and what needs to be done. She made me feel like I was a burden in her day and that she had other more important things to do.

She then pressed the Mirena again and I had to once again say that its not something I am comfortable with.then proceeded to say "well that could be the only thing that helps so if you don't want to try that then. " told me to try the oral medication and that she would do some research and reach out to a few. I asked when would be a good time to come back for those referrals and more information. She said she did not know and stood up to dismiss me.

When she stood up I was left with more questions and then she sat back down and gave me the script for the rizatriptan and a referral to get my bloods drawn. Even though my bloods were drawn in the ED on Saturday.

I asked AGAIN when to come back for the referrals and she said after the bloods were taken to come back next week.

Kim was extremely condescending and rushed my consultation and now I feel as I have no choice to book again just to progress with what could be wrong with me.

I have booked next week but would like this feedback to be given so that this experience does not repeat itself.

Receptionists are always off their feet with phone calls and patients! Yet still remain so polite calm and friendly to all. They definitely need a pay rise or even some more help behind the counter before they burn out of their joy and kindness please look after them! They’re all so lovely

Scammers and thieves
Beware danger danger
Fake 5 star reviews from staff
Many better Dr in the area
Took my daughter here in case they write some lies that I'm not a patient
Watch them they charge you and claim the bulk bill fee so when you go to claim on Medicare they have already claimed.
Also charge full fees for kids and dont let you know when checking in. Scammers

I saw Dr Susiriwardana and have to say she was very condescending. When I cried in her office her response was “I don’t know why you are crying that will not change things. ” Not only this, but she gave me completely incorrect advice about my musculoskeletal injury, advice that cost me $500+ out of pocket to see a private surgeon for them to just turn me away and say I need physiotherapy as these injuries are never operated on these days. The doctor I saw initially told me it was just a sprain and I had to push for an MRI. I should have been in a moon boot from the get go and missed valuable immobilisation time due to poor advice. I have to say I have seen Dr Praba in the past and she is a great and thorough GP.

My son saw Dr Arwen Boyle. He was very nervous about being seen for a suspected UTI. Dr Arwen was kind and thoughtful and thorough in her diagnosis. We will definitely return!

Have had a great experience with Dr Rothnie and Dr Boyle. They’ve always taken everything seriously and I’ve never felt shrugged off. They are so helpful and also great with kids.
Highly recommend

It’s the insults and disgusting behaviour being met with the same attitude being shocking for me.you get treated how you treat others and your GPs would benefit greatly if they learned this.the doctors get their certificates in medicine in their countries which takes significantly less time than doing a degree here and patients who go to this practice PAY FOR IT WITH THEIR HEALTH.you will be misdiagnosed, accused of stuff you never did, and lied to.

East Vic Park - Always very friendly, helpful and accommodating at reception when organizing appointments/prescriptions. I found Dr Angela Uttam very easy to talk too, she is professional, kind and understanding.
Victoria Park - 11/11/22 Dr Sanjeev Balakrishnan was very professional and personable when he gave me an iron infusion and the nurse (sorry I forgot her name) was professional, friendly and calming during the procedure.
My experiences at both spaces and my continual experiences with Dr Uttam has led me to have them as my main Doctor and practice.

Worst experience ever! I was turned away by the receptionist saying no bulk billing after 2pm! Since when did it CHANGE to 2pm? My appointment is at 2pm I said! I will ask him she said! Comes back and says, dr sanjeev isn't happy to see you! No notice to patient of any change for bulk billing. On that day I required to have a blood test for a reason and I pleaded to the receptionist to see the doctor as I wasn't aware of the sudden change of hours from 9 to 3pm. There was no understanding what so ever to me. Very unhappy!

The doctors and staff are very helpful, friendly and attentive. We have seen almost all the doctors there and they are all kind and helpful and consistently provide the same standard of care

Had an appointment with Dr sanjeev at 2pm, upon arriving receptionist just says Dr sanjeev doesn't accept bulk billing after 2pm? I'm waiting there at 1.50pm noone called to tell me this and then she said the good doctor is not happy to see you! How bad is that! Money matters before health hereby! BE CAREFUL at this practice if you're being bulk billed! Not happy!

Dr Rangaiah is an asset to her specialty and the suburb of Victoria Park. My family and I are grateful to have her as our primary care specialist. Park Medical Group team is always helpful and friendly.

Don't go to this GP they only waste your time, only interested in slugging ppl and going home when you need their help and I'm not lying the minute after I walked out the doctor left and jumped in her car and took off

Went in for back pain to see if it was soft tissue or skeletal injury. Wasn't examined at all by the doctor he just wrote a referral for physio and was told they don't proscribe stronger drugs for back pain - I didn't ask for any. Charged $80 for no service and to be judged as looking for strong drugs, I won't be going back to this BUSINESS. Please note I have never been contacted by the business despite the response below by the owner Raj Selvendra.

Dr Sarat Jyotsna Rangaiah is an incredibly compassionate and thorough GP. I've come to her for a couple of years now and always feel welcomed and heard.

My last appointment was to get a new prescription but she also asked me about some other things that I should have brought up but had forgotten about. I'm really happy that she's always on the ball when concerning my health and well being.

The reception staff are nice. I've never had a long wait before. I do prefer the newer clinic in Vic Park than the one in East Vic Park.

They don't normally bulk bill so please be prepared for that. They do bulk bill children and I think concession card holders.

Went in to get wax removed from ears. Was told there was no nurse in on the weekend to do the procedure, I should come back Monday.
Charged me $80 for literally nothing.

Amazing service. As someone coming in with the flu, every precaution was taken to make sure I was negative for COVID. A great team with both talented reception staff and doctors.
