PARK Donnybrook reviews
21Fantastic stop for lunch. Lovely atmosphere, super friendly service and great coffee and food. The 7 year old declared it the best cheeseburger he has ever had! Adult food was great too!
Reuben Sandwich had only the tiniest sliver of meat. The coffee was below average. Staff were lovely. I won't be back
The food is questionable. This is because hygiene standard appears to be very low. We observed untrained, unclean staff, no aprons, unwashed hair, wearing dirty clothing. Waitress patting customer dogs then serving food. Dirty tables wiped with filthy too wet cloth and left wet, dirty utensils and glasses presented. Then the chairs, unsanitary, can't be cleaned and are mostly unsafe - some chairs have cracks and/or are unstable. This place would not pass basic HACCP inspection. We hope an inspector calls in soon. Great location but needs attention.
Complete waste of time. Waited 45minutes after ordering to be told they had over sold on the burritos. Would not recommend.
3rd visit. No more. The up front staff are untrained, unsmiling, flustered and waiting to go home. Need to learn customer service and a decent Chai and coffee. Cakes, well.much better elsewhere!
Overall, meals not so good and expensive. 5 star prices at 1 star service
Nice place for a cuppa. Unfortunately kitchen closes at 2pm. Service was good, friendly staff and nice venue.
Never have a had a burger with only a pattie and 2 pickles, cheese a sauce, still for $15. Nothing else, didn't feel like a burger. I have a had few meals there and everytime it is dissapointing. Overpriced for what you get.
Nice spot but won't be back. $12 dollars for 6 nuggets with no chip! From the kids section on the menu.didnt explain anything about the side of chips that you could add for a extra price (not on the menu). Abit more communication would be great
We arrived here on Saturday with a group of friends and kids, 4 adults and 9 kids in total. We all ordered lunch and drinks for everyone, spending close to a couple hundred dollars between us. We have one Gluten free person in our group and after questioning the flavouring on the chips (which was not stated as being on the chips on the menu) was given an eye roll from staff behind the counter. They made a big unnecessary fuss over the request and having to cook another batch of chips and then asked us to pay for another bowl of chips because they had already cooked the chips ($5).
We were made to feel like it was a major inconvenience to have a gluten free option cooked. In today's world of so many allergies and intolerance's it should be accepted and certainly not treat your customers so rudely.
I suggest you train all your staff (including management) on celiac disease, gluten free, allergies and the dangers of being so blase over these before something serious happens to a customer.
Staff could also do with some customer service training; being polite, smiling and dealing with simple requests without being rude.
After being reminded several times to cover food displayed on the counter next to the till to avoid contamination it is being ignored. Being sent legislation about Food and Health does not make them take that bit of effort to show they care.
We make the drive here once a week for a visit today we had coffees and cake - we love to come have a game of backgammon (hubby won today) or a game of gin rummy over coffee n cake or next time may enjoy a glass of wine …
There are GF options available too
My mother who is coeliac asked for gluten free toasted sandwich and was given a normal toasted sandwich. After she had taken a bite the waitress returned with other sandwiches which were the correct order. The waitress was very apologetic but my mother spent the next few hours throwing up and will now be feeling very ill for the next few days. Please make sure your staff understand how serious coeliac disease can be. There is a big diffrence between being coeliac and gluten intolerance. Very disapointed as my sister was visiting from NSW and was a beautiful day out until this happened. Please educate staff as now the next few days are ruined.
Sunday afternoon 27 of March, 2022, very disappointing, Cold coffee, toasted sandwich was dry,
the young girl who served me had terrible customer service skills. May want to let customers know on their arrival before they order if your cafe is closing early.
If you are going to charge $7 for a coffee, it should be made by a qualified barista, not a trainee who is practicing on my very expensive drink.
Sensational addition to Donnybrook and set in beautiful surroundings. Just wish the small food orders like cake or a biscuit would come at the same time as coffee. So many times its way after and too late.
Absolutely let down. Arrived at 12.45 to the poor young girls dealing with no food to serve and no idea how to deal with the situation. No supervisor in sight. Shame on the owners
Lovely atmosphere, liked the mix of old and new furnishings, the senses enjoyed the smell of the coffee brewing. Food was very tasty, just a little expensive, tho you can see alot of effort has been put into the building and surrounds. Definitely worth a visit. Staff were friendly and pleasant.
Great location near the playground, our brunch was delicious and the coffee good! Staff lovely and service great. Highly recommend
Great location off the main highway, near the new kids park. D with lots of outside seating. They have a good selection for breakfast and the all day menu just adds to the variety. Friendly staff make it an all around great spot to sit, relax and contemplate the day. Wi definitely be back for another visit.
Beautiful cafe with a great vibe. Our group enjoyed our coffee and treats. Friendly staff - will definitely be a regular!
