Pardoo Roadhouse & Tavern reviews
41Says its 24 hour fuel. Has a self payment machine that does not work. No after hours contact.
When you are travelling through these outback places you just don't have high expectations just hopefully a clean toilet is a bonus
A nice area to stop for the night (or a few days).
Husband and I stayed here in our campervan on the unpowered grass area.
Good price for what it was.
Toilets, showers, even laundry can be done here.
In all seriousness, there's better and worse out there!
The key to visiting any and all outback Roadhouse's is, expect the worst, that way you can only be impressed, not depressed!
If you can get through here, pass by. There is no camp kitchen, and you only have to buy frozen parmi for dinner. No wifi for $150.
One star for the nice older man in the shop. No stars for the bloke in the kitchen. Miserable.every single time i encounted him. Never saw him smile and never replied to my hellos and apparently hes the new manager of the joint as of a week ago and theyre trying to turn it around.good start mate. NOT! Toilets are putrid, you go in dirty and come out absolutely filthy! Great grassed area for campers -$12 ler night. Dongas are $150 a night and barely fit a double bed inside! Fantastic aircon in them though! Not too badly priced in the shop but id definitely try drive to the next stop and avoid this place. Good luck turning the joint around, it needs a lot of work but with a bit of elbow grease this joint could be a hidden gem!
Lovely roadhouse.has everything you need when u have forgotten alot of stuff, price is reasonable cheap which u have to realise it's in the middle of nowhere.still a great place for all your forgotten needs?
Excellent and usually necessary stopping point on any trip north or south. Staff were friendly.
As it's the only place for fuel and food for hundreds of km, it's a must stop if you require either! Fast food available here and there are a few general items, and plenty of souvenirs. The tavern was closed when we were there, but it was fun to look at! If a sign was stolen, it is welcome here. Bring and donate a 'branded' cap.
I originally was staying two nights
Left on the Friday morning, got two K down the road and my car had a great big melt down, starter motor, clutch and gear box all died?
Mark the manager and his team were so helpful the two amazing English girls Katie and Lucy even drove me into Port Headland Hospital because I also had a major health issues with my feet.
Mark and his team even helped me find another car at reasonable price.
I can not say enough about how amazing and helpful three days turned into 2 weeks, I was so impressed how hard they all work.
Diesel is $$ but expected being the only fuel around area. Great outdoor seating area.
I stopped for petrol & decided to stay o'night in c'van park (I have a c'van)
Great shaded areas, drive through site, and only $20 for me - power and water hook up. Glad l stopped
Two lovely English ladies took our coffee order. Lighted up the place in the middle of nowhere!
It was only fair, came thru year previously and the food was outstanding, maybe a tad on the just a little expensive side for what u got. I know freight adds to the costs as do wages.
Great roadhouse friendly staff basic take away food. Caravan park, restaurant (didn't eat here) licensed and take away alcohol.
Says takeaway drinks, not a huge range, says has a post box no post box. Service really average
We stayed in the Caravan Park and were impressed with the shady trees and green lawn. You do not hear much from the road or the Roadhouse and we had a good night's sleep. The showers were cleaned daily but they do have red/ brown staining from the local pindan (dirt), so look dirty to a non Kimberly/Pilbara person. For $30, we will stay there instead of camping along the road.
If you don't have to stop, don't. The toilets were filthy, the food and coffee were ordinary and the staff unhelpful. This place used to be fantastic, it has been let go, it is old, dirty and run down.
The worst accommodation we have come across after 8 weeks of staying in a different place every night - plus it cost $145. The room smelled and the bed cover was dirty. I can’t bring myself to suggest it was clean.
The bar service in the tavern was almost non existent.
Nice, grassed and level sites. Friendly service, good food and amenities. Noisy generator that runs 24/7 (needs hay bail wall around it to suppress noise) and road noise from passing road trains.
