PappaRich Cockburn reviews
58I went here with my Dad, and we were ushered to our cramped table. We read on the instructions that you jot down your order on a paper to order than ring the buzzer, and they collect your order. We pressed the buzzer several times only to be told by the waiter that that is not the way they do things anymore. Would have been nice if the instructions were updated. Didn't stay for the food, though, if they can't respond to buzzer on time or give timely customer service, how could you trust the food.
Some dishes are great. We only order Laksa and nasi lemek. Customet service is getting better. Have tried other dishes and they are not good, especially dumplings. Dumplings are flavourless, very little filling and thick sheet. Three miniature size dumpling for $7 is not worth at all.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and great service.
A little sad they don't do use the order buttons on the tables anymore.
The worst dine-in experience ever. This restaurant deserves a permanent close. Food was bland, and the service was just terrible and, to be honest, pathetic. If they did not want to be at work, they shouldn't be.
Other peoples' reviews suggest that this experience is not unique to me. It is surprising that this place still persists in business, given that it has been a terrible place for many, many years.
Always loved this place, unfortunately took our fav papa fried rice noodles off the menu so don't go as much but love the steam chicken
I m writing this review not because of the food (food was great), the service was terrible we ordered few mains and starters and we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes between each dish and in last we ordered extra rotis which took 30 minutes to arrive and the staff was more focused on delivering takeouts and ubereats than dine-in.
I just wanna try there new drink ice lemon tea. The wait member was not friendly. When the "ice lemon tea" arrived, it was very disappointed, that has no lemon taste at all.that drink was like mix honey with a tap water. Also, I asked for less ice on the drink, they gave me almost half cup of ice. Terrible experience, PappaRich was really nice few years ago, now I can see that why so many of them were closed in Perth.
UberEats >> customers, restaurants main priority is delivery not giving any attention to customers on table, food was okish. Service was pathetic, had to wait for 20-25 minutes between each dish, waited so long for food, pathetic service!
Felt so sick after eating the chicken skin. Still covered in feathers. Beef noodle soup was luke warm. Staff were very kind just the food was kind of awful? Sorry
This place seems to continue to go downhill.
Service and community is rather poor.
Food can be amazing or bland.
Ordering is confusing when dining in.
Such a shame because ktnused to be really good.
The food is authentic asian flavours. The service is usually quick. A little tricky to get here due to traffic lights and traffic flow, ie.weave through a back street. Nothing the GPS can't handle. I'll come out of my way to get food from here. Love it!
I've had the roti. Chicken Rice with steam chicken. Satay sticks + sauce.
I cannot believe this restaurant has a 3.7 review score! I’m 56 and very hard to please and I honestly can’t remember when I last enjoyed a meal so much. The homemade bread with curry sauce, in particular, is to die for…. Seriously
Not crowded. Good spot and parking. Ease of access. Away from the hustle and bustle. Food is good. Lovely.
Good food and Service.
Chicken Curry Laksa was not the best Today. May be a new Chef. Overall, value for money.
As someone who can't tolerate heat, the lemongrass chicken skewers with peanut sauce and the roti canai were absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly. The honey lemon tea was also delicious and very refreshing.
My friend and I ordered a crispy noodle and wan tan ho was disappointed with the food and the taste will recommend the Nasi Kemal but not others
Zero customer service, I ordered food over the phone and lady on the phone messed up the order. I went to pick up just 5 minutes before they close $61 worth, when opened up bag at home it wasn’t what we ordered. They were closed already, so I sent in an online complaint form its been 4 days now and no one bothered to contact to me. I will never go back this place.
Menu online isn't the same as in restaurant, most things aren't available. Didn't say before we paid for it.
Disappointing visit, I used to really rate this restaurant but it’s not what it used to be. The service was fast but not pleasant, we didn’t feel valued, the menu I think is smaller and the drinks selection used to be awesome but is now very limited indeed. You have to go to the till to order where as before they would take your order at your table. I would have thought in this current climate that table service was preferred?
The rice was tasty but my wife couldn’t eat the chicken, it had soggy skin attached and was thigh meat, if your a breast lover you’ll struggle finding a dish on this menu. Not a smile or a thank you on our way out, not even eye contact. We won’t be back any time soon.
The last few visits have not been good. I've either had to resend food to be fully cooked etc but this time everything I wanted from the online menu was not there. No more jellies in drinks, no more tandoori chicken etc. The stars I've given is for Joshua for being patient and explaining things to me. Especially because he's been telling people that the menu has changed for 2 years. Someone really needs to update the online menu.
