What a gorgeous little place this is, it is our FAVOURITE bookshop to visit with the kids, to choose those special reads for birthday's or beautiful gifts for little friends.
The owner here (I think she is the owner) is pure magic, always welcomes us with a smile and knows every book on the shelves. She has given us countless recommendations for our kids and we absolutely adore every one of them, there is nowhere else you can go where the staff know so much about the books, the content, the writing style, the authors and the themes suitable for each age. A pure delight and pleasure every visit! We are so grateful for this beautiful space!
Such a good selection of children’s books - and lovely staff who are happy to share their knowledge and make great recommendations
Truly one of the most magical book stores. It is filled with endless adventures and learning. Best place in Perth to buy a gift for the special little humans in your life.
Fantastic range of books, most of them are hard cover with beautiful illustrations so it's a place to head if you want a book that can be kept for a lifetime.
The staff know a lot about their library and every gift is wrapped free.
Plus check out the sitting space for a read and a chat with your little mate
Paper Bird is an absolute joy of a place. Don't let the label Children's Books put you off coming inside. There are a lot of gems here that may be directed for children, but won't lose their impact to adult readers. The space has a lot of surprises, make sure you don't miss going upstairs. Bring your children here, it might kickstart their love in reading - they'll be the better for it.
A truly magical place to stock up on all your kid lit needs.
Staff know their stuff and are happy to help.
Most amazing space for kids and parents who love books.
Great books, good advice and overall cozy atmosphere.
Great selection of children books, cute decor one of a few left. Happily support this place whenever we’re in Freo
Paper Bird is so delightful! Who wouldnt want to visit a childrens bookshop with such a calm creative vibe and super helpful, encouraging staff! Our kids have enjoyed joining the bookclubs on offer also!
Beautiful independent book shop, also have free kids book reading on Sunday mornings. Cafe next door too!
Good books, good prices, friendly staff. Have a great selection of thought through selections that make it easy to find something for your little reading monster.
Very inviting atmosphere, friendly staff, massive range. The only thing we didn't see was book sets, although we weren't looking for book sets and so didn't ask. If you are probably ask!
Amazing book store for kids. Some really great reads for young readers. Beautiful store and helpful staff. Well worth a look if you are in the area.
I love paper bird! The photos of it here don’t show how beautiful, warming and cosy paper birds environment actually is! But also all the books they sell are children’s favourites! I think paper bird is the best book shop I have ever been to!
It is a magical place for young.and old.for anyone who loves to read and the staff are so warm and helpful.they obviously read MANY of the books on the shelves
Oh my, oh my, oh my. If there was a sixth star Paper Bird would get it! I really don't know who enjoys this place more, my wife and I or or two boys. The selection is incredible from baby block books to teenage reading material. We have to set ourselves a limit on how many books we but when we go in. There are books from independent publishers and mainstream. Australia specific and rewritten history and science books for kids. Please go here! Please support this shop! One of the highlights for us when we go to Freo.
Very unassuming from the outside, but time suddenly stops when you step into the shop. Lovely atmosphere, cozy size. Great range of reading for kids and the young at heart.
Quiet absorbing space, rich in childrens literature, adjoining play spaces, creative spaces and storytelling times.
