Oscar & Sons reviews
53 Manifiek I'd say the only 5-star top-notch restaurant north of Oceans 21 (Shorehaven). Spectacular Chilli mussels and a great choice of house wines to compliment the traditional ambience. Ideal for romantic dinners family gatherings or special occasions.
The Chicken Carbonara is a much loved favourite among the locals who are always chuffed with speedy takeaway and the portion size Super smart doubling up as a fish and chips shop with great value for money and great food.
Waited approximately 3/4 hr or more for a main meal -Complained nicely and suggested to take the price of the drinks off the total.
Was told by the owner that he 'doesnt do that'.
Steak the size of a babies shoe, chicken parmigiana size of an elephants foot!
Food very consistently average which is good.
Be warned, if you arent happy and want a refund-dont dine at oscars!
Some of the better pizzas I've had in WA and the country for that matter and still doing a pretty good price on them particularly take away
Not nice food got take out fish and chips.
Oscar tried to tell me the fish was fresh amd not frozen. Never in a month of Sundays is that fish fresh. Everything was dry. Chips tasted absolutely disgusting.
Beautiful food and great service. Nice atmosphere during a quiet night. Serving sizes were incredibly generous and meals were cooked perfectly, packed with flavour.
Delicious seafood - bit of a classic 80s touch to the menu, think sizzling garlic prawns! - and dress circle sunset views over the Indian Ocean
This place is a favourite for date night. For its good, service friendly and attentive without being too much.
27/08/2022 was delicious!
A take away menu Vegetarian and Seafood? Pizzas were incredible
A great toppings were excellent
8/10! Well done Chef and a wonderful man is a lovely and cheerful
Unpretentious roomy cafe/restaurant that serves excellent choice of fare including takeaway. Pasta, Pizza, prawns, oysters, steak (can, recommend, plus much more. Licenced and good table service. Can't go wrong here!
Ramsey's kitchen nightmares couldn't save this disaster of a "restaurant"
My partners caesar salad was pathetic. No cos lettuce to be seen, frilly green was used, asked for no parmesan but there was handfuls of cheap parmesan throughout the salad, dressing was split & tasted of nothing remotely like caesar dressing.
Cheapest fries are used, frozen fish, tartare sauce was from another planet! Had olives in it & was the consistency of fresh semen.
Bowl of chips with aioli as stated on the menu. No aioli or mayonnaise in the restaurant apparently. The 15 year old waitress didn't have a clue what aioli even was. She came back after asking the kitchen for aioli and said the only sauces were ketchup or creamy garlic.
Never had a pizza before with only tasty cheese on it, the Italian's would be mortified!
I think they've got the local red neck ice addict in the kitchen serving whatever they like.
I'm a chef of 25 years, my suggestion to you Oscar is close up now or drastically reduce your massive outdated menu.
Good service, BUT the food was an utter let down. Pricing was poor for the quality of food served.
To many items on the menu to be made fresh everyday.
We have never been disappointed.
It's a long way from Fremantle to Two Rocks, and the trip there and back (140km) is an excursion in itself, plus a walk along the breakwater is refreshing. BUT no matter what, you must dine at Oscar's. It is absolutely one of the best restaurants for a seafood meal. We go back time and again, yet our last visit was the first time I met Oscar himself as in past he was the fisherman.
Recommended indeed. A good place to be with friends and family. Great welcoming people and atmosphere too. We came for lunch. Kids love their big pizzas. Mummy is a vegetarian and daddy is 'omnivore' (so are our kids) ; we find our compromise here. Even though they dont have varieties of vegetarian dish, their food tasted good. So that is enough. Their serving is generous as well.
Been a loyal customer for a long time, but the massive price increase is crazy, Covid tax for sure on the new price sorry oscie
Will not be coming back again that's for sure! Dined in here after a morning fish and whilst waiting for my food, the owner started screaming at his staff for the whole restaurant to hear, and yes it was pretty busy.if your staff members are doing something wrong, pull them to the side and inform them of the problem instead of embarrassing them in front of customers.the poor waitress looked on the verge of bawling her eyes out.my food came out 45 mins after ordering and the extras i had asked for (and was charged for) were not there. 0 out of 5 stars for this place.such a shame as it is in such a nice spot.: (
Great service food is tasty and good quality. We have been there several times and have always enjoyed it.
Outstanding service by really friendly and caring staff. Some of the best seafood we have ever had.
Usually very helpful when dining in.
Tonight I wanted a takeaway of creamy garlic prawns. However because they were only on the eat in menu, there was no flexibility and the order was refused. I was happy to pay the eat in price for a takeaway version. They weren't overly busy. Amazing in this age, business is turned away.
Very enjoyable dining experience. Tonight was our first time at Oscars and I am already looking forward to our next visit. The waitresses were friendly and gave good service. The Chorizo entree arrived at the table over a flame and was very tasty. The chilli mussels were perfect, salad was fresh and I had the best Affogato of all time. Price was also very reasonable. I will look forward to coming back on a summers evening to see the sunset over the ocean. I definitely recommend Oscars.
Oscar and his team are by far the best family restaurant in the area, food is awesome and the service is second to none.
