Osborne City Medical Centre reviews
18Dr Prior is a wonderful GP, she has treated 3 generations in my family. She truely cares about her patients health. The receptionist are always welcoming and friendly wonderful customer service. I highly recommend this practice.
Dr Birk is a wonderful doctor it is a pleasure going to my appointments she is easy to talk too and very empathetic to what's going on with me thank you so much dr Birk.
Appt.was on time, no waiting. Dr. N Gecan, is a good communicator, used images to explain my fracture, empathic, and followed up.
Rather disappointing. When booking was made I was not informed of not being bulk billed especially for a medical certificate forced on us due to Covid mandates. The other thing I explained the date range as I was close contact as well. Peeved off that I was charged $40 for something I could have got from a chemist. I think you should inform ALL NEW PATIENTS OF THIS
Terrible experience with Dr Dianne Pryor.
Such little empathy from a medical professional. Did not forward our results during my pregnancy and wouldn’t even answer calls. I understand when you’ve been in the job for decades you lose some empathy. However in this job it’s inexcusable. Raised a complaint and she never contacted us even once for the rest of my pregnancy. We ended up having complications with my delivery and she was no help at all in the difficult time.
Expensive clinic with plenty of great Bulk-Billed options available nearby. Avoid!
Don’t book an appointment for Covid vaccine on weekends. Clinic had available appointments for Saturday but the clinic was closed on arrival.
Disclaimer: the rating is based on booking system and not quality of service.
GPs brainstorm with you about your case.and then the other GP asked me do you want me to just copy exactly what was suggested by the doctor at the joondalup health campus hospital
Just had my first covid vaccine dose and they were fantastic. Unlike other places, they’re no go letting doses go to waste
Dr Lin was amazing. She recognized I had a suspicious lump and I was in surgery 3 days later. So professional and caring all along the way.
Attended for covid vaccine (after scheduling time of work) only to discover on arrival that they have chosen not to accept reciprocal medicare cards.
My family has been seeing Dr Prior for a few years now. She is a fine & very knowledgeable doctor. She found out what was causing my hypertension when other doctors just treated the symptom. The clinic also has a new doctor there, Dr McMullen. She is also very thorough & takes the time to explain to her patients. She is very good with my teens. This medical centre has a group of very fine doctors, mostly prompt with their appointments, relatively easy to get appointments & easy parking. I highly recommend.
My family and I have been under Dr Dianne Prior's medical management for a number of years. Quietly confident, professional GP who refers you to excellent specialists, if required. Dr Prior keeps a close eye on your health and advises well. Her reception staff is pleasant to deal with and is very obliging in assisting with queries.
I wish I read the reviews before made 2 appointments here and at Duncraig Medical Centre, which are under the same management, I wouldn't make any appointment.
I had an appointment to get flu shot for me and hubby with dr. Prior at 4.30 pm.
1) Arrived 10 minutes early to fill medical form but we had to wait 25 minutes before got called.
2) No greeting, no smile at all from the lady receiptionist. She asked to give my hubby driver licence, we gave it and we sat. She asked again from her desk, "where is your husband's driver licence? ". She even didn't bother to come to us!
3) we had to wait more than 15 minutes as she had an issue of one question field when finalising the payment. She called (maybe) the practice manager (?), she was grumpy then she said to him, "yeah I have a long day". She also didn't apologise after made us waiting for her incompetency of fixing the issue.
Another bad experience was the arrogant male receiptionist who always answered calls from Duncraig Medical Centre. That guy was pushy when I wasn't sure to book. When I asked why the doctors' fee is different at same centre. His reply "our doctors are excellent, not like other doctors, don't know what they are doing".
My family and I appreciate the fact that this clinic is open on a Sunday as it saved us having to take our infant to ED when bub had a high fever. You can also make the booking online which is great as you don’t have to wait till opening hours to secure the earliest available spot if you or kids get sick during the night. Only thing is you are likely to wait pass your booking time even if you are one of the first few patients of the day as with our last few appointments.
The medical reception staff I dealt with were completely unprofessional and failed to inform myself and my mother that they charge private consult fees prior to us seeing a doctor. Their Medial Centre is advertised as a bulk billing centre on the Health Direct website and their details were also provided to me by Health Direct call centre staff directly who informed me that the centre provide bulk billing. Even when the medical receptionist was advised that my mother had not been to the medical centre and I presented my mother's pension card, she still failed to inform me that we would need to pay a private consult fee. After the consult I went to reception to ask if we needed to sign any forms for medicare. It was at this point that the receptionsit decided to inform me of their private consult fees. When I refused to pay as I was not told prior, the receptionist made contact with the practice manager on a mobile phone and handed me the phone. The practice manager was extremely arrogant and proceeded to tell me that I was not honest. I have worked as a medical receptionist myself and have been advised by both doctors and the practice managers to inform patients of the costs involved with seeing a doctor to avoid any confusion. My experience with the medical reception staff member and practice manager was appalling as they avoided taking any responsibility for the situation and failed to inform myself and my mother as a new patient to the centre. I will be taking my complaint further as they should be ensuring that their patients are informed on the medical centre's practices and procedures, including the costs involved with attending the Centre. Failing to inform patients of this prior to them seeing a doctor is deceptive, dishonest, unprofessional and irresponsible on their part as front line staff for the medical centre.
Dr. Prior the best doctor in my personal experience.
Very caring and professional at the same time.
She is our family GP.have been going to dr. Prior for the last 4 years.
Dr Prior is one of the best Doctors in this practice, caring, friendly, always apologising if waiting longer than the specified appointment time. Dr Prior has been my GP for years and I personally highly recommend. Cannot comment on other Doctors in this practice as I have only seen the same one Dr. I must add the reception are reliable and great too.
Avoid Dr Nelson, she is incredibly unfriendly and patronizing, awful expierence. Was 10 minutes late for my appointment and in turn decieded to make me wait 45minutes, despite not having any other appointments that morning. Dianne Prior however is a great GP, would recommend her if you are attending this practice.
