Orion Cafe reviews
32Like all the beach cafes, very nice vibe, very good people, it is operating just beside what the map says due to renovations (I believe). Good food and like all the cafes in these beaches prices are more than your local cafes.
Great view, would have preferred coffee in a mug rather than a take away cup as we were eating in.
The food was pretty good, the breakfast quesadillas were fresh and the fruit juice was very refreshing, all around a good beach vibe
You’d be forgiven for expecting a Chico roll that’s been in the heater all day from the outside, but that’s also unfair. It’s old school Yanchep. What isn’t old school is the food. We went for a snorkel at the lagoon which was awesome. The food from Orion was even better. Barramundi to die for as was the salad. And the calamari. These people know their seafood. They buy quality ingredients and they know how to cook it. Will be a post snorkel staple every time we head up!
Waited over an hour and breakfast never came even after asking staff.got refund and left, would never recommend.
Beautiful view. The food was good. We had the big breakfast and the breakfast quesadilla.
The banana shake and the flat white were average.
Usually head to lil sistas when up this way but they were closed for the public holiday so decided to try out this place. To be fair they mentioned a 15 minute wait but these coffees unfortunately were not waiting for. Bitter and the milk was heated to within an inch of its life. Shame on me waiting that long and paying the public holiday surcharge.
A lovely spot looking out at the beautiful Indian Ocean. Service is great. But the venue looks tired.
Waited 20 minutes for a bad coffee, rude staff not only to us but to other customers and elderly. Also served people that ordered after us before us
Love the food here. Love the
waitresses and kitchen staff. Not happy to here that if you bring WINE to enjoy with you meal you are charged $8.00 PER BOTTLE that you bring. First restaurant I've every heard of that does this.
Good service but I pre booked for 18 seniors for morning tea. When I booked was told $10 a head for banana or fruit bread and coffee and after senior discount $9 a head $162. Tried to charge over $200 and eventually pair$10 a head $180. Not happy Jan. Jenny Tuart Hill Branch Retirees WA. Only booked 2 Feb.kept being told coffee had gone up, food had gone up
Good location at the lagoon. Shame it takes 25 minutes on a not busy time before I have to remind them for my order of coffee and a panini. Then waited another 20 minutes.
Service is great and the place has a nice energy to it. The BLT and ham and cheese croissants are great, and the fresh orange juice was delicious! Table was cleared promptly and the girls serving are lovely:)
I arranged for my car club to have a sunset dinner here. We turned up with twice the number booked for and the staff quickly accommodated us. Everyone was really happy with their dishes, which arrived promptly!
I asked for salt, but was told they do not have salt cellars for the tables only pepper. The staff ignored me repeatedly.
A very good meal was spoilt because of the attitude of the staff and salt not being given when asked.
I was finally given salt when I had almost finished my meal.
I suggest management spend $50 dollars for additional salt cellars.
If they had it would have been a delightful meal.
Wish they'd just clean the place up,
Such a great location with awesome veiws but food is very hit and miss, small portions for the price, tables are always dirty and rarely cleared, staff are very friendly but always busy.
Really lovely food can recommend the grilled chicken with quinoa salad. Yummy Service with a smile and a great view to look at as well.
Best breakfast & coffee ever. I had the mushrooms with garlic pesto, avocado, wilted spinach & soft poached egg. Was absolutely delicious. Took our little dog along & they were very accomodating. Very busy with lots of locals, a good sign of quality cafe right beside the beach. Highly recommend the Orion Cafe.
We are regulars as the food is good, service is good too. But getting very disappointed with the way the meals are getting smaller. Order grilled fish and chips, only to 4 mouthfuls and the fish was gone. Couldn't have done a quick count on the chips too! We'll be back for coffee and too see the views but will be having brekki and lunch else where until we start seeing the portions go back to the way they it was before.
Disappointed with the food, ordered Stir fry vermicelli noodles with pork and it was too dry and felt like full of ginger. Vermicelli noodles shouldn’t be cooked dry like that. Good thing coffee was nice! I asked the guy for another plate for sharing he offered the underliner plate for the main dish that was served to us, that’s so improper act when your serving a guest/customer.
