Orana Cinemas reviews
42Cinema 4 lighting in hall way should be dimmer and the sound system needs to be louder as you can hear the sound from next cinema and people talking in Bogart's you pay good money for the atmosphere to enjoy the big screen. Cinema 1 needs to be refurbished, paying the same price for non reclining seats, musty smell, and dusty, not value for money, overall poor planning of development, not soundproof
Don’t go here. Don’t waste your money. We arrived 20 minutes before the movie started, purchased tickets at the counter from a rude young staff member who didn’t smile once. When we gave our tickets to the staff at the door she was occupied in conversation with another staff member, briefly looked at our tickets and pointed towards cinema 1, didn’t look at us throughout the entire interaction. We entered the very old fashioned cinema and was welcomed with a funky smell and torn seats. Once the movie started an older woman staff member entered the cinema and was staring at everyone sat there, looking at what they were eating and drinking, she came over and told us we couldn’t eat any food purchased outside of the cinema and that she would ‘have to take it away and put it in the bin’ we offered to put it back in our bag which she then responded with ‘I’ll just take the whole bag’. We ended up putting the food back in our car and returned to the screen. The film was good however the overpowering scent of mildew and dust was distracting. The same woman came back halfway through the film to check everyone in there wasn’t consuming food or drink purchased elsewhere. She was very rude the whole time. We hadn’t read anywhere you couldn’t take your own snacks, and I’ve never been to a cinema where you couldn’t. They need to make this much clearer before you purchase tickets. Would never return, all staff we encountered were rude and unhelpful. Not worth the $18 price tag.
This cinema has been a staple of my life, the first cinema I went to and the first my son went to. Always a great place to go with the family or for a quiet movie getaway by yourself
Can’t take own snacks in even when your on a budget an don’t have heaps
Of money to purchase there overpriced food and snacks. Plus staff were rude about it
Decided to take the grandkids to the movies at 11am and thought we would have lunch before the movie. Got told the cafe is closed because they thought they were going to be busy? Are you serious. Why advertise a cafe then not have it open
Very welcoming and professional staff. We are regular customers, and on the only occasion our experience was ruined by some nasty audience members - the manager kicked them out and gave us complimentary premium vouchers. Be wary of 1 star reviews - I’ve been going here with wife and kids for years - better experience than decades of cinema-going in Perth.
Tried to purchase Bogarts seating, only to have a young incompetent girl put it through as normal priced seating. She didn't book any other seating for me, when I still needed the Bogart Seat booking. Ordered the beef burger from the Bogarts menu, whilst it was tasty, the bun was hard, which made it messy to eat, and I ended up wearing most of it on my shirt. The chips on the side were cold also. Staff here are incapable of the simplest tasks. Some staff look to be very very young with no experience with dealing with people. I doubt if any training can save them. Thumbs down!
Booked tickets online, easy interactive website. Cinema was clean. Watched Black Adam, great family experience and tasty snacks too
Great popcorn and snack selection, plenty of crane games and cinema experience is also great.
Great popcorn, great movie, great service, comfort on cinema 4 except lighting in hall way should be dimmer and the sound system needs to be louder as you can hear the sound from next cinema and people talking in Bogart's you pay good money for the atmosphere to enjoy the big screen
Today we wanted to have lunch before the movie so we chose the Cafe at the theatre.
We ordered our lunch lasagne very small piece, hubby ordered Gourmet Beef roll, we asked was it pulled beef or slices no one knew. So we went ahead with the order. Then they couldn’t put into computer it wasn’t on the list, 4 people later one rude older manager. He said charge for a filo pastry we said that’s $2 dearer than a roll so after 5-8 mins waiting to put into computer.
After 25 mins wait our lunch arrived.
Well Lasagne small, gourmet Beef Roll turned out it was a Sausage roll.
I asked the girl where was my husbands beef roll she said that’s it. I asked how can they call this Gourmet Beef roll it’s a sausage roll.
She said that’s what you ordered. At no time was I rude to this girl just asked why it’s called a Gourmet Beef Roll.
It should be named a sausage roll.
Not long after I spoke to the older man manager who informed me I upset his girl, at no time did I speak rude or nasty. Others sitting in cafe couldn’t believe what he said as they agreed I didn’t say any thing wrong.
Our tea and coffee never arrived till we had to go into movie.
We paid extra to go into Bogarts better seating Etc.
If you are shorter and want to lean back rather than sitting up you won’t see the movie. The Rail is at a height when you push back your head you can’t see the bottom of the screen
All up don’t bother going to eat or pay extra for Bogarts seating not worth the money.
The older manager needs to learn to smile, respect his customers and ask what the problem is. Couldn’t careless.
My Husband didn’t want pastry he wanted a roll. He left his $16 sausage roll. Overpriced!
We went to see "where the crawdads sing", we loved it, great entertaining movie.
Perfect little cinema in a country town. Had everything you need and multiply cinemas so a good choice on offer.
Always the best service, even through I'll only go maybe once a fortnight, that remember me and make recommendations based off of my previous movies/experiences. The best would have to be a black haired light skinned male, he is an asset to you guys.
Clean, warm, nice staff even at the end of the day. Excellent prices on their snacks too! XL popcorn only$7. It was a lovely experience!
Love going to the cinemas, until my entire bag got taken away because I didn’t purchase my food from Orana. The small bag of M&Ms are way overpriced so I don’t purchase stuff from here. Now my friends and I are sitting here with no food. Don’t go here
Good films Wednesday 6.15 pm. Film harvest. Some of the seats are getting saggy. Take a pillow.
How wonderful it is to have such a clean and well presented cinema! The seats are comfortable, there's no weird smells, the staff are friendly, and the popcorn is cheap. I really enjoy coming here.
Comfortable seats, parking can be dogey during blockbuster openings. The only place in Albany to see a new blockbuster
I went to see a movie here and it was a great place to go good atmosphere and friendly staff. Will definitely come back.
