OMFSurgery, Dr Sophie Mougos

Dr Sophie Mougos was amazing. I had a massive infection in my mouth for nearly 2 weeks that my dentist kept insisting we "wait and see what happens". The pain became so unbearable that I was recommended to go and visit Dr Sophie. She got me in on that same day with the help of her amazing receptionist, sorted out my infection instantly and then squeezed me in to get all 4 wisdoms out in the next couple of days with her. I have struggled for a week and half with the pain and discomfort, but I went in to see her and instantly felt better that night. So grateful and highly recommend! Such a lovely team, very happy to have found somewhere like them!:)

Very good surgeon for sedated wisdom teeth removal but unfortunately the after care is pretty bad. I rang for help after surgery and was told to wait for my follow-up appointment which they then moved another 2 weeks away. When I did see the surgeon to discuss the after care she said I obviously didn't call for help when in fact I did multiple times. She was quite rough checking my gums also.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr Mougos and I could not recommend her enough. I was quite anxious about the surgery in the lead up and on the day, Dr Mougos made me feel at ease and ensured I was well looked after before and after surgery. I had no infection issues despite having a larger extraction area than usual after also having a dental cyst removed during surgery. Great overall experience for someone who gets anxious about medical procedures.

Dr Sophie performed an extraction of 4 wisdom teeth for me in mid-October. Once I'd got an appointment with Dr Sophie, the process was extremely fast, from consultation to surgery was less than a week due to a cancellation. The consultation, the surgery and the recovery were all much better than expected, and Dr Sophie was very empathetic and clear about the process.

Overall, Dr Sophie was professional and did a great job, recovery so far has been great, with minimal swelling and bleeding.

As a previous review stated, I, too, was a bit apprehensive after seeing the reviews. However, I suggest to not pay attention to reviews as much and make up your own mind when looking around & choosing a surgeon. The admin staff were far from rude, they were lovely from start to finish - they follow up clearly and reply to emails promptly. Sophie herself is also friendly. She gets straight to the point, and perhaps that can come across as rude to some, but as someone who's practical I appreciate that she just gets things done.

Price is quite high, but worth for the level of care. Any delays and changes are understandable - if you've been in hospitals you'd know how things are! There's lots of logistics, paperwork, and unexpected incidents. I reckon if you go in with patience and flexibility, you'll find everything is alright. I had all my wisdom teeth removed this morning - only slight swelling, bleeding, and pain afterwards. Communication from triage nurse, other nurses, anaesthetist, and surgeon were clear before the operation. Post-op care document and prescription were given. Overall, I'm satisfied and would recommend.

Absolutely disgraceful staff. Poor management skills poor lack of knowledge poor time keeping and unaffordable prices would not recommend this service HORRIBLE.

About 2 years ago, I got referred to Sophie Mogous.
I had my initial consultation with her where she confirmed that I had an appointment booked with her, she did not disclose that it would be at a private hospital and that it would require a day bed. The day of my operation arrived I got to the hospital room, I got told that I would have to pay 1500 for the day bed plus Sophie feels of 1700. Also got asked why I am seeing Sophie Mougos as she has a pretty face but a black heart, interesting comment I understand now, I became very distressed and worried and was unable to have the procedure done. If I had been made aware of the full costs of the operation I would of not od gone through with signing the contract, till this day she refuses to give me a refund, the anesthetist, Chris was unhappy about giving me anaesthetics because of how distressed I was and that it could cause a reaction, Sophie still refused to give a refund, I’m pretty sure this is against consumer law as she was able to perform surgery under safe practices.

My son had his 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr Mougos in early Jan 2021. We found Dr Mougos to be a very competent, confident, friendly and caring surgeon. She went through the surgical procedure, aftercare and answered all the questions that we had patiently. After the operation, a member Dr Mougos staff called us a day later to check on his recovery. She always made herself available to see my son and her staff were always great at getting back to us if we had any questions or concerns. We would not hesitate to recommend any of our family or friends to see Dr Mougos.

I can’t thank Dr Mougos enough, was absolutely caring, passionate and attentive to her patients, she made an experience that I was afraid of one of the most easiest one to go through. I’m barely left with bruising and by following her take home instructions my swelling has almost disappeared 3 days after surgery, and her pricing is very reasonable (honestly would have expected to pay more for the treatment I got because of how good it was). I wouldn’t recommend anyone else but her for wisdom teeth surgery removal. I’m sharing her to all my friends (who are impressed with how well i’ve recovered) and co-workers. The procedure was clearly explained and carried out expeditiously at St John's. Staff member followed up with phone calls to check all was well the next day. Financially not cheap, but once account was paid, that covered all future reviews & follow-up visits. Sophie is pedantic in her work, ensuring everything is carried out to perfection. Sophie was very kind and friendly, and my wisdom teeth surgery went very well. The following days I didn't suffer with any major pain, only swelling and a bit of discomfort. I think her pricing was fair, would recommend!

I had dental surgery performed by Dr Sophie Mougos yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. I was referred to her by my dentist who spoke very highly of her and he was right. I was very pleased with the consultation, Dr Mougos was thorough, explained by case well, took my lifestyle into consideration for longer term solutions. She was able to fit me in for surgery as early as a week’s notice. Surgery went great, she’s an excellent surgeon. More importantly Sophie is lovely, empathetic and caring.

I got surgery done in the Cambridge day surgery today and I am so amazed, I was so terried being this was my first surgery to get 4 wisdom teeth removed, the staff in the hospital were so lovely and checked in on me constantly, gave me a warm blanket that had just come off a heater so it was super warm and when I got into surgery I was shaking but Sofie and Tom my Anethatist were so so lovely and made jokes to make me feel a little at ease, I was taken care of so well Sofie came back again and I thanked her but I really can’t recommend a better place, I feel so well treated I can’t thank you all enough:)

No problems if you want to vist a surgery that never has any parking and like to overbook surgeries resulting in long delays and waiting times.

My sister got all 4 of her wisdom teeth removed in dec 2018.the staff booked the surgery without informing her and told her about her surgery less than 10 days before.when she tried to change the date they told her it was too late.she missed her university graduation because of the surgery.on the day of surgery, she asked if it was possible to get 2 removed instead of 4 and sophie yelled at her and told her that she has 2 minutes to decide and if it took her any longer, sophie wouldn't do the surgery and charge her the whole amount.the anaesthetist was very nice and tried to comfort her. 5 star customer service great job sophie and staff

Had a work injury requiring an implant. Sophie and the Team were exceptional and made the process stress free.

Unprofessional and no responsible.they booked me for surgery and 2 weeks before surgery their DR left and They called me and told me your not longer with us and canceled my surgery.
I called Dr Sophie Mougos, she is full of empty promises, now she is hiding and don’t even answer the phone.

Dr Mougos has been informative at first consultation and the surgery went very well. My son was a little sore and swollen for a few days which was expected. 4 weeks later he had an infection and Sophie provided excellent after care service. Very happy with her work
