Olio Bello reviews
72 After sitting for 30 minutes I realised how peaceful it was to just hear the bugs, birds and people chatting and no music Playing.
Food was wonderful and the staff super helpful
We went to Olio Bello today for lunch. All in all the food was quite good but unfortunately the olive oil was quite poor. We had the bread with olive oil which should celebrate the oil and in my opinion the oil was several years old (so was the tasters) and they provided some kind of spiced side which also completely masks the tastes of the oil (why?). As said, food was good. Atmosphere was nice. But olive oil needs to be improved or at least stated when it was harvested. I believe anyone coming from Southern Europe would understand what I mean. And if I'm wrong, that's even worse.
We had the:
Italian sausage ragu (good)
Fish of the day (good)
Bread with olive oil (not up to the expectation)
I will always drive out of my way to pick up some caramelised balsamic, olive oils and dips from Olio Bello whenever I visit the south west.wonderful place!
Pizza okay (needed cheese to stick it together), cake assortment fab and lots of olive associated products to buy. Touch expensive.
Olive oil was tasty, service was great but the dishes we had in the restaurant were underwhelming.
Stopped by for lunch and had their calamari and fish of the day. The calamari was overly salty and the fish of the day was super dry which came with fries. I’d say it’s way over price for the quality of food we received. Most of the other menu items were sold out: (
Went in with a large group (18) on NYE for lunch.
They ran out of multiple main course items and ICE! For a place selling bottles of white wine in buckets without ice? Please!
I had the lamb ribs (fatty and too rich) and the calamari (straight from the packet).
I chose my menu items and can live with my mistakes, however.
They forgot two people's orders completely.
Not good enough considering the reviews.
In the venue's defence they refunded the cost of the mains and gave the two hungry patrons two bottles of olive oil as compensation.
Pasta dish Luke warm although the prawns were hot and very good
The coffees were very weak and barely warm and we returned them.
Delicious lunch especially softshell crab n mango salad, lamb ribs and seared tuna. Creme brulee, choc brownie with cream n icecream and lime tart finished the meal very well.
Glamping was the highlight of this place. Not a lot of light at night, so I could see the stars and planets in the sky very clearly. Beds were super comfy, and the toilet had heated floors. Location was close to Cowaramup. Would recommend this place to anybody, especially tourists.
One of the nicest place we been to in Margaret River! We had very nice cakes and coffee to begin with. They are absolutely gorgeous and delicious. Ambient is very relax and nice. Totally enjoy the environment. As for the staffs, they are top notch and we enjoy the wide selection of olive oil, salad dressing, jam etc. Only regret is the kitchen is closed on our day of visit. Wish to try the food there and will go again in future:)
Drive here today for one of their platters only to be told the restaurant was closed. The parking area is also being renovated and parking was confusing and not very good.
Outstanding accomodation, service, beverages and food. A must stop in the South West! Will be coming back!
Outstanding accommodation, newly kitted glamp site. A must stop in the South West! Highly recommend, everything you could ask for.
Olio bello is absolutely worth a visit when in or near Margaret River. Their parmisan infused olive oil is one of lifes great joys and when coupled with their spicy dukah "wow".
Booked for lunch. Waited an hour an half for our food! We had to go to the counter twice to ask where our food was. No apologies, no drinks, bread offered. Turned out they had accepted a booking for a bus tour of pre booked meals for 1pm and thought we could all wait till they had cooked at least 12 meals for them. So disappointing! We won’t be back
Worst experience I have ever had. It's like just because you have a baby it means your less important. Had to get our drinks refunded as they forgot. Got free cake for the inconvenience but didn't actually want it. We were going to browse and get some olives but decided not to as it was too much hassle. They seemed understaffed and the staff there didn't really care.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch with our family. I agree with others, Olio Bello has the best food in the SouthWest. Wholesome, flavoursome Italian food, everyone was satisfied and all plates were scraped clean. Highly recommend the meatballs and the slow-cooked lamb ribs - so so yummy!
We usually buy the olive oil from Olio Bello because it’s good quality stuff - but only recently we decided to give the restaurant a shot as well. Was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was - the food was clean and the flavours were good. I won’t say it’s the best food in a region where good food is literally everywhere but it’s not something you’re going to be disappointed by. If you want good quality olive oil then this is the place to come get it, and if you want to stop by for some food too then I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
This was our first time at Olio Bello, a friend recommended us to visit and we’re so glad we did. They have a beautiful selection of candles, essential oils, soap and more! We came out with a whole bag of stuff!
We didn’t have a chance to try out the cafe/restaurant but will definitely give it a go next time.
