Ocean Beach Hotel

Ocean beach Geraldton. Staff were apologetic as they said they were very short staffed and were unable to service rooms. There was no room service as the cafe room service is outsourced to was closed. The poor lady on reception was also expected to serve at the bar, she needed to be triplets, she deserved a medal. Some people were very vocal about not being able to get a drink and left to go elsewhere.
It's quite expensive to stay there so we were shocked that the room only had bog standard TV, no fox, movies etc. We've stayed in caravan parks that give a shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower cap, etc pack on arrival.
It has great ocean views and the location means an easy walk to the bakery and hotels for meals and watching footy and to buying shampoo etc.

Food poisoning from chicken parmi - either don’t keep it under a heat lamp for an hour, or improve your stock control. Cheers

Absolute worst experience i’ve ever had.the worst costumer service i’ve ever seen.worst drinks i’ve ever gotten, i ordered a vodka lemonade and it tasted like pure water, i ordered multiple drinks after that just for them all to taste the exact same.water.i had two drinks infront of me, FULL and the girl came and cleared the table while i was in the toilet, taking my drinks with her.i then went up to the bar to ask where they went and the man i spoke to was alright and went to ask her and she rudely told me she only took empty glasses when my friend from across the table watched her take them then i was told i just had to buy a new one? I was also checking in and handing the servurity guy my ID and he was also very rude while looking me up and down.i’m so disappointed because this place had great reviews and this was the outcome of that.

Ordered a $29 fish and chips. Portion size fit for not even a new born child. 150 lashes beer off and flat. No knife and fork given with food, you are required to wait in a line of people purchasing beers while your food goes cold just to get cutlery so you can eat your food. Waiter was young and unenthusiastic. Maybe enthusiastic about the penalty rates that he was being paid given it is a Sunday.
Should’ve just gone to a local fish and chips shop who value their reputation and return customers. Could’ve ordered 3 meals for the price of one instead.

On a side note - my mates who purchased a steak sandwich each say quality was less than poor. Made them feel slightly ill.

Your staff aren’t even worth complaining to because it would go nowhere. Hope whoever this concerns reads this and takes action.
Will never even consider coming here again.

Rather intimidating looking martial arts type security. Bar staff too young to have any real life experience other than “rules say”. No wonder 3/4 empty on a Friday night for once was an iconic location.

We came to OBH for sunset and ordered the tasting plate ($31) and some drinks.
The food and quantity was so disappointing. We really felt ripped off.
Not good value or quality.

I'm just wondering on the operation hour on 27/12 at 8.30pm.
I intended to come have a dinner on favourites dish for Steak but my entry had been denied by security guard for the front entrance. He asked to go to another entrance which i follow his advise.
Then i go to another entrance another guard told me that the bar and restaurant had beem closed. With no courtesy explanation and professionalism attitude by this judgemental security guard, i felt that my right to enter the premise correct area (dinner - restaurant and pub) been violated purposely with this such kind unprofessional guard.
I have been regurlarly visited this hotel or retaurant which some of them, i gave them a big complimentary in facebook in their food.
I'm not interested at all with the entrance to beed garden since it's not all the time i have to enjoy with club environment on that night.

If this type of attitude still happen, it's not worth it for me to visit next time

Sat next to this broken glass upstairs for over an hour. Several staff walked past it and not one acted on it. This is truly a disaster of a pub. The people in charge need a long hard look in the mirror. Absolutely disgraceful.

Super average breakfast options. Given the array of modern options this is really basic and could be replicated by anyone with a trip to Coles and 10minutes in the kitchen

You cannot have the beer thats being promoted and plastered all over pub in the restaurant part which is licensed and serves alcohol and you cannot have the all day breakfast in the bar that serves other food from the same kitchen. Wrap your head around THAT.

Went to the restaurant Easter Sunday for a birthday, lovely view, didn’t understand why we were only given 2 hours to eat, when there were plenty of tables ‍️ I ordered the grilled fish a bit dry, and my son ordered the chicken parmigiana and he said it was overcooked.
Will try again later down the track to see if the food is any better.
But had a great time with the family.

Nice place good food but way overpriced. I got a salad with chicken and a cider drink. My husband got a burger and it cost 55 dollars

It's in an excellent location, close to some of the nicest cafes in Perth. However the establishment isn't very nice. The rooms aren't very clean, as there was thick layers of dust in certain areas and above the wardrobe, the Wi-Fi is horribly slow, no laundry service, and the rooms are very noisy. You can hear conversations of people in hallway while in your bed, through the vents to other rooms and the sounds of pipes running people's showers. If you're unfortunate enough to be on the pub side (north side) you won't get much sleep if you're a light sleeper.
The rooms are very big though and the staff are extremely nice. The 1 minute walk to the beach is a real treat.

It was ok, the venue is quite dirty and the service fairly mediocre. Food was good and beer selection is nice, venue could just do with some work

The only thing the hotel has going for it is the location. Rooms are looking quite outdated and smell of old.

Food was a bit disappointing.
Had 3 of the entree dishes and all tasted like it had been re heated.
Girl behind bar must of been having a bad day. No smile and she didnt want to be there. Daughter had the steak which she loved.

Great pub in a great location. Excellent food in the restaurant. Great views of the beach. Good value $10 breakfast available all day. Accommodation reasonably priced.

Took over an hour to get our food, had to go up and ask twice, especially annoying as they weren't that busy

Ocean Beach Hotel has provided great drinks and awesome views for me since I began going out. Love every moment there!

Lachy slipped on a chip and spilt half his beer; but they had Matso ginger beer on tap and the steak sandwich had an egg, so all is forgiven.
