Novotel Perth Langley reviews
62It's always an amazing time for me at the Novotel. Staff are absolutely lovely, rooms are spacious and offer everything I want, plus I always get a nice view of the Swan River.
As a tourist from the UK, the last time I stayed at at this hotel was 23 years ago and it hasn’t really changed that much, a little antiquated, a little tired in places, certainly it needs a room spruce up but then you have the staff and these are the people that make a hotel and here the hotel scores 5 stars from reception, housekeeping, breakfast room and the Irish bar, I have nothing but praise. The hotel itself is well placed for walking to most things and you are not very far from the free bus service stops if you need them. One thing they need to change is that in room Wi-Fi connection is limited to 3 devices, not good if your two people in a room and both want to connect phone and tablet, disconnection of one device to allow another is made fiendishly complicated by the hotel, you can’t just tell your device to forget, you have to go to a web page to log out a which is not straightforward.
Liked the stay. Hotel was very good and conveniently located to Perth Central. Facilities are a bit worn and tired but this did not detract from our stay. Breakfast was as good as it gets and the staff very friendly.
We were looked after well and appreciated late check out since our flight did not leave until late afternoon.
Location was quite good in the vicinity of some good local takeaway.
Hotel had 2 restaurants, fairly priced and good food.
Staff were very friendly and rooms were clean.
Hotel bathroom needed some updating, Bath showers are not a good idea and should be replaced, we are not in the 1980's.
Overall happy with the accommodation and service.
My rating is due to my check in experience. I had a late flight and I arrived at 3am with a booking (booked 2 months in advance). I arrive and was told “we’re overbooked due to a system error”. So I ask what am I supposed to do then?
The manager runs over to Pan Pacific across the road to check if they have vacancy. After 10 minutes he comes back and says no vacancy. Then he goes behind the desk and checks the computer. He tells me “we have a room with 2 double beds which someone else has booked but they haven’t arrived yet, so I’m taking a risk by giving it to you”.
The way I was treated was as if I hadn’t booked and was just walking in off the street. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional service. If you know there are guests who haven’t checked in yet, don’t you have some kind of plan in advance about what to do? Other than running across to the other hotel to check if they have rooms?
It’s absolutely not my business whether you have to bump another guest and whether you’re taking a risk by giving me a room which I HAD BOOKED weeks in advance.
Never expected this from Novotel or Accor group. Arriving at a hotel and being told it’s overbooked is absolutely ridiculous.
The front desk staff and James Symonds in particular were prepared to go the extra mile to make our stay super nice. They really seem to genuinely care about their guests.
Not a 5star hotel. Needs improvement in food and beverage services. No proper coordination between department s. Poor handling of quarantine guests.
Quarantined here after returning from O/S posting. Staff have been amazingly helpful and kind. Room is spotless and has enough space to workout. Food servings were a little small for my size and training so staff were more than happy to assist with extras. All in all very pleased to stay here.
Spent my 14 days hotel quarantine here.staff are very very helpful and friendly. THANK YOU for looking after me. The Health Nurses are the best and very professional. Stay safe everyone)
My queen room for 14days quarantine at Novotel start 4th February 2021, with all friendly staff and very helpful.thanks Novotel
All is very nice! Room, food, service. As l am smoker, and hotel do not have smoking rooms, l felt realy discriminated. This is first hotel in my 17 years worldwide experience which do not offer smoking rooms.
Very good service. Clean and tidy room. Delicious food. Nice staff that accomodate you in all you 24/7. Highly reccomended to every one.
Avoid self-isolation in this hotel!
- Food provided is not good in either quality or quantity
- Staff rude and unprofessional
- Staff in the corridors to control rooms in each floor don't wear mask! (official government quarantine hotel.)
- Windows can't be opened!
- Rooms are old
- Need to wash own dishes
NOT RECOMENDED for self-isolation.
Didn't like the misscommunication with reception: phones not working, you have to wash your own dishes and cutlery, laundry 10 items for 25 dollars, small amount of food 3 times a day.
I would not recommend an experience like this for 14 days. Fortunatly we could change our adress and do our quarantine in a much better place.
Also, to be a 4 stars I think the bathroom it is old and the room it is quite small.
Maybe it works if you are a toursist that only is trying to find an accomodation where just sleep.
Unfurtunately it wasn't my case.
I've been here for covid quarantine. They provide good service and food, also daily sudoku, crossword, and word search everyday during quarantine.
I have stayed here several times, on trips to Perth (last time was February 2019). It's always friendly and centrally-located (I particularly like that it's on the bus route from the airport, so quick, cheap and easy to get to and from). Did I mention that there's an Irish pub on the ground floor? Because I'm an Accor Plus member, I get a free welcome drink. A free Guinness? How great is that? A quick walk to all the wonderful sights and attractions that Perth holds. Would certainly recommend for these reasons (plus the wonderful breakfast!)
Had a good short stay. Room was spacious and modern. Bed was super comfortable. Room service menu is okay. Staff is helpful and polite. Location is great. Many things to do around the hotel. Buffet breakfast was fantastic with wide spread selections.
Decent hotel with a small conference centre. Staff are friendly but the facility is a little dated. Location is ok but not at lively as the Northbridge area.
Room smells bad, breakfast cut fruit on yogurt section was not fresh, there is no international charging port in the room. But I appreciate your attentively service.
