Small tidy campus close to public transport.

Thanks goodness for the great library facilities, the librarians are fantastic student support resource people!
Current library area has plenty of computers, comfortable chairs and is carpeted so not noisy and echoey like some can be. Printing is not the cheapest in town but convenient and reliable.

Its a shame the cafeteria has closed due to lack of patronage over the COVID-19 closure but otherwise it is a lovely campus with reasonable student amenities.

I went to TAFE in Murdoch, but the TAFE buildings in the city are all original, artistic and wonderful.
I've taken hundreds of pictures, but nothing to throw away.
I'm going to visit inside next time.

Architectually Stunning Building. The North Metropolitan Tafe in Perth is a first class learning facility. The interiors are equally as stunning with Coffee & Food Outlets for the

Coffee & Food Outlets on Campus, which is convenient for all students & teachers.

It looks great now, especially the exterior of all Buildings associated with THE NORTH METRO TAFE. It is spread around 3 streets.
I had a walk around ages ago now & took some photos, it has now changed again since more renovations.

Great Tafe in a Top Location with The PERTH LIBRARY & CULTURAL CENTRE in JAMES ST MALL within walking distance. Public Transport is also within walking distance!

I finished a diploma at NMTAFE, no graduation organised. Their service throughout my studies was horrible. I will never recommend them to anyone.

Outdated, extra effort and work is shunned because it does not follow the set training wheel work and people are not always very helpful. Sometimes things can be good but most of the time not.

Old and outdated computer resources that takes some time to load anything - my mobile phone is faster. Half the computers don't print. I feel as if half my units are useless and could have been done in half the time. The chairs and desks are cheap and very uncomfortable. Units are unorganized & I have learnt more from books than anything else. I will not be continuing my studies at this TAFE.

By far the worst experience I’ve had in tertiary education. Unorganised, ridiculously priced and useless core content. Wouldn’t recommend anyone go here despite how hardworking all the lecturers are. Will be returning to Curtin for my degree after this experience.

My school but when I went to get a student ID card the lady at the counter really wasn’t that friendly - $2 for student cards!

Terrible and irresponsible engineering department, didn't get our timetable organised, did get a proper bill nor receipt for our tuition fee, wasn't informed for all the changes of class and time

I love this place because everything is going well and whatever I need is all round here. I have to say that I love this place.

I have completed a Certificate III, 3 Certificate IV's and now completing an associate degree (all engineering) at a number of TAFE campus so my years of dealing with TAFE as a student will extend to 7 or 8 years. I see a number of reviewers are happy to write off thier entire experience because they had an issue logging into thier student portal. Another review having a cry that thier course got cancelled, clearly ignorant of the fact TAFE is government run so everything from thier student management system to course content is controlled by the powers above. But I wouldn't expect people who enrol in some of the bottom feeders courses TAFE offers to be aware of that common fact. If you can't work your way around simple obstacles you might encounter during study - like logging into a computer - study something useful like engineering so you can learn to engineer solutions to basic issues and make yourself less of a useless person.

If I could provide a negative star for this institution I would. They are happy to take your funds and then never deliver the promised education. As an external student it took 3 months to be given access to their online blackboard. Access was sporadic, as the system kept requiring password changes every few days. The materials provided were out-of-date and very unclear. It has been the worst educational experience I have ever had with an institution (of which I have ample experience). Personally, I would not recommend this institution to my family or friends.

It's bad enough the staff are rude and incompetent but overall you won't learn a thing in this TAFE, may god have mercy on your souls who attend, they just want your money could care less about students.

I agree only care about there money.staff are lazy and stuff up.not taught what is needed in the work place.

Was actually told by a engineer that worked there if he was hiring he would not get students from the dip that I just did.

I started my first class on the 19 of July and I must say the staff and lecturers for my course are amazing and very helpful. I enrolled into Certificate III In Make Up and honestly would continue to study this course throughout the 6 months I have here.

I started a Diploma and wasn't able to finish it, as they simply removed the relevant course. Pretty much left me in limbo, so I re-did many units later at another Tafe. An odd (presumably management) decision, that wasted time and money. I hope (assume) this would not affect others in their courses (mine was electronics.)
On the big plus side, the lecturers were all great, knowledgeable and thorough. *BUT*. Since their classes are no longer available they most likely have moved on.

The institute is a joke from the top to bottom. They hire the most useless people who don't know what they're doing whatsoever. Unprofessional. Only cares about getting in more money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this pathetic school. Go somewhere else.

Despite the fact that the TAFE system in WA is going through an overhaul, the staff - including Admin and Library - at North Metro are very helpful and attentive. More importantly, the Cafeteria here make a mean coffee to get you through classes! Not to mention, the lake, the ducks and the fish on campus.

The staff in the testing centre were rather disorganised and didn't seem to know what they were doing.
