Nornalup Riverside Chalets

Nice clean chalets. Lovely garden. The lake is across the road. Lots of national parks with in 30 km. The town is a 10 minute drive. A good location if you want to rest. The beach ️ is close by Peaceful bay. Just beautiful for children

Best holiday adventure, get there and unwind or romantic getaway, would love to help do some needed renos there but hey great place!

Nice location and a very friendly staff. Good spot for kayaking and fishing. Close to wapole and a 40min drive to Denmark.

When we arrived our cabin smelled badly of smoke. Apparently smoking is allowed on the outside patios of the cabins. The owners said smoke must have drifted inside. It was obvious the previous guest had smoked inside the cabin. They were aware of the smoke smell before we arrived but only moved us after we complained of the smoke smell. As this a family friendly place, they should ban smoking on the premises altogether or have a designated smoking area. Allowing smoking on the patios is not good enough and out of date to what the public expect.

Umm no it's not bad for business, it's good for business. It's very easy for smokers to walk to the front gate and smoke or down the bottom of the grassed area. You are wrong in every way if you condone smoking on the chalet balconies.

Our stay at the chalets was great. The staff were exceptionally helpful and a very nice couple. The premises were very clean and well fitted out. The grounds were well maintained. There were large areas of lawn and many native plants growing in the garden beds. There are many different birds there including wrens, parrots, finches, Kookaburras and many more. I had the privilege of giving them bird seed, places in small bowls hanging from the veranda roof. The chalets are very close to the river and approximately 10 Ks from the tree top walk and the valley of the giants. In all, a wonderful place to stay

Nice, clean room. Excellent shower and we were on the Auswalk tour so had food prepared for us and left in our fridge which was all fantastic. Lots of little snacks and surprises in there too!

So sad these guys aren't hiring out kayaks anymore! Paddling up the river to Monastery Landing through the national park is one of the best paddle trails in WA. Hope the new owners bring back the kayak hire soon.

Place was clean and had all the basics, no canoes are available, despite what is advertised on the website or signage on the highway, firewood is supplied, but if you are used to a warmer climate, you may find it lacking, a basic one washing machine laundry is available and is free if you stay for more than 4 days, cabins are close together and if privacy is important, you may find it lacking.
Place is quiet, and picturesque and is right on the river and has abundant bird life.

Such a quiet and pretty location on the Frankland River. Wonderful for just its peacefulness and also a more "active" holiday with lots of walks, canoeing and fishing right out the front. And a short drive to a heap more things. The chalets are comfortable and the hosts are friendly & helpful.

The blue wrens just make the experience all the better. Birds are everywhere, happy hour is delightful on the verandah. Clean and comfortable accommodation, easy access to Walpole and the ability to self cater makes it a winner.

Nice peaceful spot near the river, also the option to hire stand up paddle boards, canoes and kayaks to explore the river.
Good location to use as a base to explore Walpole, Pemberton or Denmark. Day trip to Albany would be possible as well. Was surprised at all the local attractions nearby.
The caretakers were a friendly couple and were always happy to help and provide suggestions on destinations or share a bit of local knowledge.
Already planning a trip back here next year.

Lovely peaceful location, serviced are fantastic and welcoming. Will be back again also recommended to our family and friends.

Have not stayed but know the proprietors and have been in the chalets. Great spot adjacent to the Frankland River for water activities and about as close as you can stay to the Valley of the Giants & tree top walk.

Hiring a canoe here is I think the best thing you can do in the southwest! This is easily the best way to see the forests it’s so peaceful just be sure to book 2 hours plus because the time flys! After an hour of paddling I thought it had been ten minutes!

We hired a canoe here. It was great fun for the whole family. The river was beautiful. We didn't stay at the chalets but they looked really good. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable.

Quiet place to be, enjoyed 3 days of relaxation.male & female blue wrens everwhere amazing colours.

Lovely chalets by the river and Nornalup is just close enough to the gourmet trail without being overwhelmed by the huge numbers of people that travel down here. It's a true "get away".
