One day my son had a bad experience, I picked him up after work, he was crying red eyes, trembling from hunger, I asked him how much he ate? They replied that they eat 2 times 20ml each time, I asked the staff to make me a 240ml bottle of milk and he drank the whole bottle, and a bruise on his face, I asked the staff there, they paid the word is that they don't know (so what are they there for all day?) the day before I sent my son, I witnessed them let a little boy cry for almost 2 hours, no one came to help that boy, feel uneasy about handing my son over to them

I couldn’t be happier with nido Lakelands. Had my daughter from 6 months, she’s now almost 4 and the wonderful team have always loved and natured her. Helping her learn and develop into a gorgeous little girl. Always sharing her day with me, never a moment I felt they don’t watch and take great care. The food cooked on site is fantastic, she’s always happy to try anything. Just had my 3rd bub and when I go back to work the team at Nido Lakelands is who I will have take care of my munchkin! <3

Big name, small knowledge and willing to do that job.
Staff look they don’t wanna be there and Management pretty much useless.
Absolutely disgusting

We’ve spent almost 4 years at this childcare & have felt like family from the minute we walked in the door. The staff are always friendly & supportive, the centre is always clean and the food always smells delicious at drop offs. The only reason we will be leaving soon is due to my son starting full time school next year but I wish we could rewind time to redo our experience at Nido Lakelands again! We have made so many wonderful friends and memories x

The staff at Nido have quite literally saved my little man's life. They go above and beyond and are able to tell me about every second of my son's day from the minute I walk in. They have always had my sons best interests at heart and treat him as one of their own children. I have found Alana and all of the staff very approachable. My son has had several falls and has been bitten by another child but in every case, they notified me straight away and completed appropriate first aid. My son has come on leaps and bounds with his gross motor, fine motor, language and social skills, all of which would not be possible without Nido. I would not dream to think of putting my son in any other care!

Nido Lakelands is the 3rd centre my daughter has come to attend. We absolutely love all the educators and management team. My daughter has formed beautiful and positive connections with her key educators and even educators that are not in her room, every day when arriving and leaving she is greeted with smiles and “hello” and “goodbyes” from everyone. She is comfortable and happy enough to even walk into the centre office like she owns it We have had a lot of change at home with the arrival of a new baby and have had AMAZING support from everyone through this transition from their extra cuddles at drop off and helping put her belongings away in her own personal locker that has her name and picture. I have found the communication between my self and centre staff fabulous and always know what’s going on. The centre environments are warm and welcoming with different experiences and activities to do every day and the play ground is big with lots of space, the slide is a big hit with our girl. She comes home every day happy and tells us all about her great day with her friends and teachers and learnt so many new things and gained a lot of confidence. Our baby will be attending the centre in just a few short months and we have no nerves or worries because we know that he will get the same love and care from the educators that our daughter does.

We are so happy to have found Nido Early Learning Centre in Lakelands and don't know what we would do without them.
Our daughter has been attending the centre for over a year now and my husband and I still find ourselves saying to each other "aren't they great!? " every time we pick her up or drop her off.
Following a terrible experience with some negligent carers at my daughter's previous centre as a new-born, this place has restored our faith in child care and early learning centres. We truly feel as though our daughter is treated like family here and we feel as confident leaving her in their care as we do leaving her with our own family members. The staff here work so hard for the children and there is a constant supply of new games, activities and learning experiences supplied for them each day. We are always welcomed with a smile and the cleanliness of the centre, communication about what is going on within the centre and the educator's individual relationships with the children are second-to-none. They put an enormous amount of effort into decorating for and acknowledging different events (like Mothers Day, Fathers Day, a dinosaur dress-up day, Christmas and Easter events etc.) and involving the children in these.
We can tell that our girl feels safe and confident with her educators and even when morning drop-offs are tricky given the separation, she is always happy to have a cuddle with her educators as we say good-bye.
The Nido staff have a very kind, friendly, caring and fun culture which you can feel when walking into any of the different rooms in the centre. I would have no problem recommending them to friends or family (and have done so in the past).
Thank you to the entire team at Nido Lakelands for being such an important part of our family:)

We were really disappointed with our child’s care at Nido Lakelands. There is only one educator there who was a God send the rest are over worked and stressed with little time to care and nurture. Our daughter had terrible nappy rash to the point she couldn’t walk by the end of the week for a number of weeks. We then supplied our own nappies, wipes and cream. When I approached them they blamed Sudocrem for not healing her.and were very defensive about the regularity of changing her which clearly wasn’t happening.

On two occasions I went to pick her up and they couldn’t tell me where she was. ‘I think she’s outside. I think she’s having her nappy changed. ’ we found her under a bush outside eating a sticker.

My daughter was bitten 8 times over a series of weeks. In one incident she was held down and bitten once on her back and once on her chest and shoulder. They only told me about the lower back one and had no idea of the others or the bruises down her spine. In good faith we were told there was procedures in place to stop the child in question after the first couple.then as I said 8 bites later it was all my daughter talked about when asked about her day.

On more than one occasion other incidents had happened such as falling etc which you accept, but I was told of these in retrospect and asked to back date my signature on the forms as I was being told about these events, in a couple of cases, a week later.

Nido charges a lot to have the kids ‘free play’ and do what they want. Since finding a new place we realise how lacking the physical environment is and how it really seems to be about money and not a genuine love of working with children.

My wife and I have been taking our daughter to Nido Lakelands for a while now and the staff are always polite and professional, our daughter is always is a bit clingy at first but the staff making the room warm and full of fun for the kids makes it easier. We normally don’t get out of work until late so their 6: 30 closing is great for us and little miss is always excited and happy at the end of the day, telling us all about her wonderful day at daycare with the wonderful staff or her friends she played with that day.

10/10 Nido Lakelands

Parked infront of Nido. I noticed a boy about 2/3 years old crying at the fence. Sounded like he was trying to say "let me out". Carers a couple of meters away looking after other kids. I didn't think much of it. Came back over one hour later. Little boy had move along the fence a bit more. His face and eyes were bright red. Tears were flooding from his eyes. He was very clearly in distress! I yelled to one of the cares " he's been crying for over an hour". With in seconds a near by carer picked him up. Within a couple of minutes the boy started to settle down. Shortly after the father came to pick his son up. I explained what had happen. He was shocked, but great full that i told him. I did consider "Nido" to bring my son too. I now have crossed them off my list! Shame on you "Nido" shame. Parents trust you with our children.
