Nick's Place Fremantle reviews
41Last night i had the worst worst kebab Burnt chicken! Bad service, rude from the older guy in the kebab shop! I give them 1 star for all no gloves, place was dirty, attitude s.t, chicken had a bad smell not fresh at all. Health department you should visit this place. You need to clean your GRILL! Every half hour your food is burnt and change the oil too
My colleague and I had just finished with clients for the day and wanted a quick lunch on the way back to the hotel.
Both, my colleague and I are Greek, so when we saw a Greek joint, it was a no-brainer.
Unfortunately, aside from the name, there’s nothing Greek about the place — the food doesn’t remotely resemble Greek flavours and the hygiene is questionable.
I went to use the washroom. To get there, I had to move a large rubbish bin, filled with food scraps, so I could open the door.
On my way back, I could see the kitchen in front of me and there was a large tray with cooked meat sitting on the counter, without it being covered, or refrigerated. This did not look good.
The food was oK and it’s very reasonably priced — for $17 you get a very decent portion. The pita bread isn’t Greek either.
Overall, if this is opened at 4 am and you have no other options, I’d choose this Vs a kebab, but during the day, there are just far better options around.
Changed a lot different owners don’t know how to carry on the good flavoured food from before. It was usually a great meal and plentiful. Now not much meat or salad etc in the kebab just taste the wrap very dry all up little sauce.coffee is like flavoured hot water very disappointed. Once a regular but no more.
Love me a thicc and nice souvlaki. The fried Feta is very good too. Definitely recommend this place for a snack!
The traditional last stop to any night of drinking out in Freo. Hop in line and grab a Doner kebab with the lot to go before you get in your taxi home. You'll be glad you did.
2 x $15.90 kebabs which were half the size they should be, especially at that price. Won't be eating there again.obviously if you're so drunk you don't notice it maybe it's not so bad.
Edit: Reply received saying they were 10c cheaper.so clearly a bargain. Anyway 15.80 for lamb, yeah but to your point.it's 15.80 for whatever meat you have.pork/beef/chicken etc.
If you're going to be expensive at least be good servings and excellent quality (which was good quality, no arguments).
Perfect, cane here late at night excpecting a mediocre chipshop, but I was so wrong. I ordered a lamb meatbox with hot sauce and after requesting another coating of hot sauce it was absolutely perfect. The food came to me in like 4 minutes and was propably the best late night food I've had in Perth region. 5 out of 5 would recommend to anyone. Price is fair and food is absolutely perfect.
Worst kebab I've had.
I have eaten there occasionally for at least 30 years and I doubt very much that I will ever again very disappointed
I waited nearly 2hrs for delivery despite only being 1/2 km from shop. Souvlaki was poorly made, it was cold, hardly any meat. Im very disappointed. I have been going here for many years but this being the 2nd time in the last 2mths that I'm not happy with order I probably won't be going to them again
Drove 30 min as I was told there amazing, the ladies were polite but couldn’t make a kebab if they tried, small is an understatement and the pork was as dry as old boot …for $15 bucks there’s plenty of better places in freo! …. I don’t think Nic the Greek owns the joint anymore the serving size certainly has that Indian vibe …weigh the salad and the meat!
Asked him to fill a water bottle I bought 10 minutes before (so thirsty) and he said "I don't have the stuff to fill it"
If you want a descent kebab go elsewhere. I could barely believe it after having purchased lunch which included being charged an additional 15% surcharge that what I was supplied with was barely a complete kebab.
I mean if you are going to charge people an additional 15%, then you should at least do the job right.
Great kebab loved the "chargrill" and great flavor and atmosphere. Although Chicken was just on the verge. Would've been a 5 star-er
No customer service.none! Came in with 2 hungry kids at 4: 30 today, waited at the counter for awhile and the guy that saw me didn't say anything. We left and went up the street instead. Atleast acknowledge you've seen your customer even if you can't take their order straight away
Great friendly service and awesome yummy food. Have been going here for years. So yes I recommend go there and grab a beef or bacon pita with Nick’s sauce. Fresh hot chips!?
Was quick and friendly service. Just curious. What is the cheese they use though? Looks fake to me. Rip off as paying extra for it. Every where else serves real cheese. They place can do with a refurbishment. Dull. But the service was great however.
This place used to produce very good food. Shame to see what it has become. Awful food, meat was chewy and tasteless, kabab was sloppy and fell apart. No pride in the place anymore.
It was defiantly Fremantle store today at approximately 1245pm.
This has got to be one of the worst take away food places I have ever gone to, The doner kebab was watery and certainly didn’t look or taste like lamb, which raises the question what was it? It was thrown in the bin after two bites.and the pita pocket with lamb and spinach was very oily and gristly also had sauce of garlic and mayonnaise which somehow tasted of honey. I would recommend to avoid the questions regarding what on earth your eating by avoiding going there in the first place.
I got the snack and chips, lamb as the snack. Hummus sauce compliments the Mediterranean flavour. What can I say superb! With the recent lockdown I cannot really complain like other guests that did not get lucky! A bargain at $9.90 I am very impressed! Mui been. From Sinaloa.
$75 worth of ueber eats order. Food was cold cold, even the fried halloumi, no chips with the stuffed capsicum and the $19 for a Greek salad was a joke
