Very pleasent experience I recieved today form the sales person (Aimee) in the oconner store I left feeling very satisfied and it was a personal experience very professional I highly recommend to use Aimee for your sales needs lovly person a credit to your buisness. I'll be back in future thankyou very mutch.

Nick Scali put us through 14 months of hell. We purchased a very expensive dining set and coffee table in the Tono range. After a prolonged wait time of many months we received furniture with the same name that looked completely different to the display in store. The surfaces were unfinished and did not have any surface gloss and pattern. In addition the surfaces were chipped and scratched in transit, and within months the paint began to peel off.

We put in a warranty claim and the attempted to have it replaced. The next 14 months we endured 5 deliveries - each time with the same table tops that did not match the store. We also experienced multiple attempted deliveries where the delivery men came to the house and determined that they couldn’t lift the tables because they were too heavy (why come at all then?).

After discussion with the store we were advised that the company had changed manufacturers and would never be able to provide us with the tables we saw in store because they no longer exist.

Finally we requested a refund and were dodged by Nick Scali’s team who refused to return our calls or emails. We took the company to the ACCC and DMIRS Consumer Protection which finally prompted them to respond with a refund and pick up the furniture.

Don’t spend your money here - the company is borderline fraudulent. This is not a reflection of the O’Conner store - the sales team there were polite and friendly. The broader business is the problem and they need to stop advertising quality products that they can’t provide.

Hard to give a star rating! We found the shop great. Already expected the massive lead-time so not a problem. They have great furniture. Then it comes to the Distribution Centre. Absolute nightmare to deal with. The rules are so ridged makes almost impossible to deal with. 15 calls to the call centre! Found links not working so have to hang on the phone for 30 mins before you get to speak to anyone. No direct number to the shop either. Due to this we will NEVER purchase from Nick Scali again, it's just not worth the hassle and plenty of other stores to take your cash. Poor show for a company in this time of customer focus.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Nick Scali.the wait time if forever. There is no message/email/anything for the delay in delivery.
The customer service is almost none.do not buy warrantee from them because they use the T&C in the way that makes them clear of service.
If I had time, I would have taken them to court, honestly, this is unacceptable.

$5000 Calgary lounge delivered 1st March this year (ordered September 2021, but delivery took a long time due to covid)

Damaged as two boys unboxed it and set it up, battery packs weren’t included and LED light that was $600 couldn’t be used. Promised technician would be back one week after delivery. Now week 22 and lounge cannot be used as it was intended. Recliners don’t recline.
Empty promises from Nick Scali that have worn thin. We keep getting told someone will get back to us but 22 weeks down the track and we are the ones doing the running around calling and emailing.
Utterly disgusted with the dismal service.

Terrible company with horrendous customer service. My partner and I had two seperate orders. Our first order was made december 2021 for the bartolo tv unit and dining table with bench seats with expected delivery of june 2022. We ordered our sofa around the end of February 2022 with a wait of 14-20 weeks for delivery. We moved into our new home end of May, sold all our previous furniture prior to the move in preparation for our new furniture. No updates, no follow up on any order but it's 28/6/22 so we pop in and ask for an update. The assistant floor manager said it was appalling that we hadn't received any updates on our order, checked the system and they had the tv unit and table in but it was another 2 month wait for the bench seats. We said we wanted a refund. The floor manager came over and we told him we wanted a refund he speaks to my partner with the upmost respect and apologises for the inconvenience (no apology to me) and his communication to me, in my opinion, comes across as very misogynistic. He informs us as it's change of mind he will keep our thousands of dollars deposit to which I informed him that seems unfair due to the situation. He said he can't authorise a full refund without regional manager approval and that he would email him and get back to us the next day. Nothing from him the next day. Contacted him the day after for an update. In summary with lots of back and forth we were offered free delivery for half the order. I contact consumer protection and tell them the situation to which we both have a good giggle about how ridiculous this situation is, they discuss it with their senior colleague and advise me to try and get a refund from them otherwise it would take 6 weeks through them. So I contact the floor manager again with my new advice from ACCC. Contacts me a few days later saying his regional manager has approved the refund. The 1-2 week refund took 3 weeks and a lot of chasing with accounts.
On the other hand our sofa took 20 weeks and was delivered as discussed and then unpacked in the rain and then had to use our tools to install it even though we pay them for delivery AND installation

Ordered back in Jan.it’s now June and my order still hasn’t arrived. It’s been a very disappointing experience to say the least. No efforts have been made to find alternative solutions. No follow ups. Just a very poor service.

Terrible service following query on a leather lounge. The lady sales assistant was to get back to me with a price. Still waiting for that call 2 months later!

Same as many other people in here, I was very unhappy with the promised delivery.
We wanted to buy 3 tables (dining, coffee and side). We got quotes from local carpenters for making one and the price matched the available ones from Nice Scali. However, the carpenters had a 6-8 weeks of lead time. Nice Scali told us that we can have it in 2 weeks. That was in Oct. But we finally got our tables just a few days ago in late Jan. They kept changing the dates. Why a shop should sell an item when they do not know whether they have it in stock or when their stocks arrive.

If we had gone with the local carpenter, we would have helped a small local business and we could have got our tables before Christmas.

Double consider before buying products from Nov Scali especially if you can get them made locally.

They turned back on their promise to deliver on 29th Mar with the confirmation of stock availability from the store customer service. Two days later texted to notify us that out product will only arrive in July. When we called, one of their sales person said they have actually do have stocks. Why the inconsistency?

Was told 10 weeks for a sofa chair. I understand it's covid but I was not contacted once to be told there would be a delay, or any apologies. 19 weeks later its apparently arrived. Now waiting on the 75 dollar delivery 3 hour window. 2 hours in still no signs.

Very poor service. Was told my lounge would be made and delivered in 12 weeks. This blew out to 16 weeks and I was never notified from nick scali. Recieved the couch, had their guys put it together and scratch the legs. No compensation. Poor quality couch. Will not be buying from nick scali again. Manager at the O’connor store is very rude.

These people lie about availability to get sales, then follow up with sms not phone calls to tell you your order is way off. $120 compulsory delivery doesn't include removal of boxes. I will never be back and tell others not to go there. Worst furniture store experience ever

Purely bad business.
We purchased a new lounge from nick scali in July, and we’re told it would be a 12 week wait, we were hesitant in waiting that long but decided to proceed, we were handed over the purchase contract which stated an estimated delivery time of 12-16 weeks, when we queried with the salesman he said yeah it’ll definitely be closer to the 12 week mark. While drawing up our order, the wrong lounge was written down, and the wrong prices, we had to sign an emailed amended copy the next day due to the errors. We had an SMS from them in early September saying the couch was in early and we should be receiving mid October, happy days! Next communication we received was that it would be delivered 30th November, making it a lengthy 18.5 weeks after we had ordered. We were fed up and had requested to cancel the order and receive a refund of our deposit. Head office was very understanding and forwarded our request to the store manager. The store manager flat out refused the request with no discussion, told me it was “unreasonable not to expect delays” and told me there’s no chance I’d be able to cancel and that I was overreacting. Communication since then has been automated messages requesting full payments to be made and a scheduled delivery time, completely ignoring our cancelation request. We have been waiting for the regional manager to make contact for nearly 2 weeks. Disgusting customer service to say the least and after reading so many complaints of a similar nature I don’t know how this company is still standing. Absolutely beautiful furniture, but by no means worth the headache.

I have to admit that this is worst sales and delivery experience that I've ever had in Australia. I purchased two sofas in July 2021, one of them was in stock and the other was not so i asked for them to be delivered at the same time and they gave me max delivery period of 16 weeks. On Novemeber they sent me a message to go and pay the 70% outstanding so i can get them delivered and when the delivery guys show up they had only the same sofa that was in stock in July. I refused to accept it so they gave me new delivery date of 10th Dec 2021 however till now i didn't hear from them.
This is my first purchase from Nick Scali and I am sure that it would be the last.

Took ages to arrange delivery let alone waiting and additional month to get my Ottoman made. Emails to OConnor went unanswered until followed up and then I also tried to respond to someone who messaged me, but no response and when I phone the number it said switched off. I then got through to the call centre who put me through to Oconnor, only to receive a standard message and it hung up. Plus the charge to actually deliver just an Ottoman of $75 in the metro area seems a bit much
