Nic and Kolo

Our favourite family restaurant/cafe - the food is great and the staff always friendly even in rush hour time. I personally love the chicken salad and the bruschetta with cured smoke salmon.

We come regularly, food is good but service could be improved.
Left waiting to order so often!

Checked on the website before going here for an Açai Bowl, website says that it’s a ‘menu highlight’ with pictures and all. Get in only to be told ‘no sorry we don’t do açai bowls’. On a positive note, service was good so I decided to order a coffee anyway. Google page & website need to be updated to reflect changes in your menu.

There is nothing special about the food. We had the burger and chicken salad. The chicken was dry, and no "wow" factor with the burger. No smile from the waitress that served us, my husband ordered his food and coffee first, she asked the size of the coffee and he said small, then she continued to take my order. My coffee came but my husband's coffee didn't, I asked the waitress and she said that we did not order that coffee. We said we did, and she told the barista to make one. No apologies whatsoever. She took the coffee to our table, and that's it. You could do better than that.

The food is delicious and pretty. Even coffee too.
The big breakfast was appetizing, and Benedict's eggs and bacon were properly cooked, pleasing to the texture.
The fried mac and cheese is very impressive.
Owners and staff are all friendly.

Nice cafe in a great location. The inner setup had a simple and clean look to it. The outer was great with plenty of shade umbrellas. The range of food was interesting - quite a few piqued my interest. We ordered just two and they were both good. The coffee was pretty ok too. However, they must be having a shortage of staff as service was a bit slow which they apologised for.

The food at Nic and Kolo is always great, however I have frequently found my table being forgotten after being sat with cold water, with not many staff walking around to be flagged down.

Service was atrocious. Half an hour to be seating for our 10: 30 booking, An hour for a flat white and an orange juice. And a further 30 minutes to finally receive food.which is bread and packet butter? ! Took 90 minutes for bread and butter? I just don't get it.

Beautiful atmosphere, lovely food and great location but seem slightly understaffed at the payment/order area so had to wait for service quite awhile.

Situated in the salubrious environs of Applecross Nic & Kolo is a superb place to visit all year round but it shines in spring and autumn when you can enjoy the outdoors ambience of Applecross by having a coffee in the outdoors area.

Add in the excellent food, good coffee and friendly service and you have an excellent place for a great experience.

Nice local cafe, comfortable atmosphere with trendy design, they have a menu with a good selection of fusion dishes like "Son in law eggs" which is soft shell crabs with salad and eggs, presented well and tasted good, Big Ben Brunch was alright, nice coffee and friendly staff.

Absolutely ASTOUNDING! Service was super quick and efficient especially as it was a little busy, don’t even get my started on the food presentation, IT WAS A-MAZING! The atmosphere was so friendly, 100% would recommend for those who love to go out for a fancy friendly but casual brunch!

It seems like N&K is closing early on Wednesday and Thursday due to a shortage of staffing.

If it's temporary, I really hope the store could update their information accordingly.

Strongly suggest to call the store before you go.

Food is okay, everything is served warm, not my cup of tea. Especially like warm coffee, it is unacceptable. Also requested bacon crispy, but it wasn't.

One of the best brunch spots in Perth. Their food is full of flavour and I love the Asian fusion concept for some of their menu items. The son in law eggs are a must try for anyone who likes soft shell crab. The cinnamon scroll pancakes are super yum as well with the cheesecake glaze and rich cinnamon flavour. 10/10 would recommend and will continue to visit whenever I can.

I was very disappointed with my poached eggs on toast. Looking forward to that golden yellow Ooze! Unfortunately they were close to hard boiled. I showed the waiter so he could advise the chef for future customers. My sons halloumi also tasted pre cooked and warmed up. The place was clean light and bright. Coffee was nice.

Waited almost 2hrs for our lunch. We had to keep asking how much longer, no one came to us to let us know what was happening or offer any bread or something while we waited. Had to ask for water. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. Not impressive service. Food was quite nice. Cocktail was lovely.

Wonderful cafe situated on the corner strip in Applecross. The service here is always fantastic. Service crew are always friendly, attentive and professional.

Food is always executed at the highest level. You leave feeling satisfied and not heavy. Coffee is phenomenal! Price points are reasonable. The decor inside is really well done. Overall a definite favourite.

Took mum last eve and had a lovely dinner. While it’s a limited menu they had just what we both wanted and enjoyed it immensely. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Hope they survive this current climate.

Can’t stop coming back! Best scrambled eggs and bacon in Perth! Staff are always friendly and food portion sizes are perfect:) food is fresh and comes out fast!
