Next Step Drug and Alcohol Services

Was admitted to next step and was blown away by the support at this facility, the staff are proffesional and the structure created is detailed.
Those with negative experiences must look at themselves, this is the circuit breaker so many people need and one must follow this treatment with outside support.

My doctor sent a referal i have been call twice while I was at work and unable to answer.
I have called next step three times and each time unable to talk to anyone whom can allocate me an appointment.
Apparently they can only call patients between 9-12 on certain days which is ridicoulous if someone works mornings.
Its Tuesday night and i was told on Friday I would receive an email. Incredibly poor service.

This place helped me greatly in my battle with addiction. If you are thinking about coming here - do it! It was a 7 day stay, The staff are onto it and don't mollycoddle you. I am peeling off each layer of addiction, and a few days ago was even able to let go of nicotine. The staff here are professional. Thanks next step.

Completely incompetent and unempathetic management.

Nurses and staff are mostly great, but limit your psychological and physical welfare and recovery due to the management of Mary Anne.

I've only received kindness and help from this establishment. Shame on whomever is responsible for there staff and budget cuts at the moment. Thank you to the entire team. And I hope you'll be around to help me on my struggle through the hell that addiction creates.

SIOBHAN and SHARADAY were life savers but Garth/Gareth was a pig he tried to shame me waving paper in front of me and telling me how low I’d become. I basically told him if I was on a cliff and he was trying to talk me out of it I’d jump!

31st July - 6th August 2017,7 day detox, from cigs and Gunja. I never smoked Gunja without some form of Tobacco, Staff were Highly Professional, attentive and Caring, fellow Clients were Amicable towards each Other, usually by Valium or Meds to Calm your Anxious or anger Probs> No Smoking what so-ever, they will Supply you with a Patch, look at Strenghth they tend to give you too big a Dose of Nicotine. Food is Healthy and Plentifull with lots of Fruit and Juices. A Team of Drs Visit daily to ascess your Medical Needs, an abundance of Clean linen Blankets etc, Reading, Colouring, painting, board Games, Drug and
Alcohol Literature. If you think you are Going to Sleep the Entire week, that wont Happen, health checks Blood pressure checks, check check.i Personally Drew Strength from my Age 54 and Fellow Clients addiction to Alcohol and other Drugs meaning either how yng or Old and Continual Problems of Abstinance. A Visit from an AA Member for a Discussion on her Sobriety from her Own Detox visit at the Centre and 4 Years Clean and Two gentleman from N. A.who had 18 Months and 2.5 Clean time and there Life Experiences. Cant Fault. Pool table and Table tennis. I have Abstained since leaving Detox from 31st July to Today 31st of August, i had a Urine analycess at my Local Drs as Advised by Next Step, im still testing Positive and cant get a Drs Certificate stating im Unfit for Work due to having Cannabis Still in my System.im Adamant i wont Paticipate in Drug taking Again but i cant seem to Convince my Local Dr to write a Medical Cert for CENTRELINK. Where too now?

These people will dictate the terms of your recovery. It's YOUR recovery not theirs. Their staff are poorly trained and probably poorly paid so you get poor service and poor results.

Would not recommend this place for a detox as after 7 days they let me go with no support for my craving and depression. Some of the staff were ok but some were horrible treating people like a C.with no manners and education. You are basically left for 7 days with nothing to do.
