New Canton BBQ Restaurant

Have been going there since the new owner took over. I don't live in the area but travel here at least twice a week for lunch. Very happy with the food and friendly service.

I ordered combination chow mean. Not at all combination as there wos just few pieces beef, chicken and 2 prawns. All covered with sloggi water look like a sup not noodles with meat. The owners are change and prices also go up. Wan't be back there

Went with some mates and ordered some food for dinner. Food was good and the staff was really nice and welcoming

Food was alright. They shouldn’t charge extra $2 for the ginger and spring onion sauce when we ordered the combination bbq rice dish. It is the sauce that always free comes with chicken in the rice dish traditionally.

New Canton "BBQ" yet the last 3 times i've been they've always run out of BBQ pork or roast pork, quality and service has gone down the tube with the new owners and all prices have been increased. Will drive the extra 5 minutes down to Warwick Chinese from now on, at least they have what's advertised on their menu.

Fantastic food, worth the price. Everything was amazing, so good the kids didn't even eat the prawn crackers because they filled up on everything else. Normally the complete opposite when we get Chinese food.

Loads of yummy authentic southern Chinese/Hong Kong BBQ food. BBQ pork, char siew, roast pork, roast duck and steamed chicken and rice etc. Also a full menu of dishes - noodles, stir fried, braised, etc. I love the beef and black bean, chicken and black bean and rice.

Special lunch menu cheap specials. Authentic Chinese owners. Lovely people. Lots of Asian clientele and non Chinese. Popular. It's worth it. Quiet street.

Minus 1 star! I couldn't believe it! Took my kids out for a treat, it took the woman 20 minutes to come to our table with nobody else in there! The woman refused to put the other half of the restaurant lights on so we were sat half in the dark. All the meals came out at 5 to ten minutes apart so some of the food went cold before all the meals came out. I had to ask for cutlery, when it came it was dirty and when I asked the woman to clean it she gave me a dirty look. She nearly grazed my 4 yr Olds arm with the knife when she threw it down on the table next to her! The duck had clearly gone off and after finally finding a piece of meat instead of fried fat, it was really rotten tasting! I told the lady that I wasn't paying for the fried duck as it was mainly fat and tasted bad. She tried to charge me $12 for a bottle of Fanta, I told her I was not paying $12 for a bottle of Fanta! She tried to tell me that if I had taken the bottle of Fanta for a take out it would have been $6.50, but because we drank it in the restaurant it was $12! I told her that I would pay $6.50 for the Fanta as that was pricey enough. She kept trying to add more costs so I worked out that two mains, the drink and a bag of prawn crackers came to $47.60 so I told her her menu prices show that this is the price and I reminded her I would not pay for gone off meat. I asked her if she wanted me to pay the $47.60 as her shouting was upsetting the children and if she didn't stop them I would just walk out. She decided she wanted the $47.60 so I paid it. My little girl accidentally knocked the prawn crackers on the floor. So I looked at the woman and said. 'oh dear, have fun cleaning up '. I will never go back here! Shame as last year when we went they were very good. There was a different woman though then last time

Don’t waste your money

Worst fried rice i have ever had! Rice smelt old and had hard crusty bits in it. Meat was rubbery and no prawns! Don't waste your money Wouldn't recommend at all

Excellent food quality, must try their sweet and sour pork, roast duck and soy chicken. Average spending per pax for large group is $25.
