NBG village reviews
15 It is what is it. Since ESS took over the crib selection and dinner/ brekie is much better. They also allow high vis after work and hot lunches to be taken to work. A big plus after a big work day. Wet mess offeres take away meals that can be eaten with a beer/wine so that's a plus also.
Laundrys work fine, just needa bring your own powder. Overall I'd rank it above average in terms of work camps.
The outside environment is good. The washing and drying machines are good. You should improve the quality of your food, I am not saying is bad. You should fixe Televisions in rooms and supply washing powder. Your Wet mess the beer is expensive.
My room is ordinary, no TV but issues get fixed quickly. Room cleans are once a fortnight regardless of roster. Water is hot and air con works.
Tiny rooms and some needs major maintenance. Cleanliness can be an issue as rooms are not always well cleaned for the next oc.
Power cuts with no aircon. Room wasn't cleaned once in my fortnight stay. Food wasn't bad, but by no means great.
Laundry accessibility was never an issue.
Typical mining camp. Clean, Aircon ensuite rooms.
Food is free and ok. Good selection of food to buy in cafe/shop. Rooms a bit of a hike from mess.
Room walls are paper thin so you can hear the neighbour every move. Falling apart chairs and depresing low lighting in rooms. Food is average at best. No gym access for shutdown crews. No Tv. No internet network. No brooms in the room! The only positive things are good bar, shop, decent and a good number of laundry rooms. The village is situated in the nice area for running or hiking around.
Good camp mostly but could be improved by allowing workers to take their own vehicles and not putting permanents out of their rooms as this leaves shutdown workers without cupboards to use
Great village good food, a bit of a hike though to get to mess, but the upside of it is that you can get fairly fit. Down side is early up to make it to work.
Average food
No tv in the room
No gym access
Ants in the room
Had to pass a drug and alcohol test before given a key for a room.
No washing powder
No food containers
This is the lowest standard accommodation i have ever stayed in.
Foods alright, rooms pretty small but alright. Pub not bad has a few pool tables, darts n stuff.
Well what can I say it was work it's a mine site it's a camp the food's pretty s*** but the rooms were pretty nice.
Rooms are clean and tipicle for a mining camp. No tv in room. Food is good. And can takeaway hot meals for lunch. Bring your own plastic containers and utensils.
Pretty good food considering it was a shutdown. Prices were reasonable for things you forget to bring, like toothpaste.deod etc.
Service and cleaning staff very freindly do a fantastic Job attention to detail excellent but kitchen cooks need to put a bit more effort in the food they serve there are other spices other than chilli and Perri perri its has to be among the worst food i have had in a camp situation looks like no effort or care give by most of the cooks i call them cooks as a chef would not let food like that go out this has no reflection on the dining room attendants which also do a fantastic job
