We stayed 2 nights in our caravan. Station manager Rob came out to Kirkalocka truck stop rest area at sunrise, we found a beautiful Chook (Mrs Chook) Rob caught her and took her back to Nalbarra Station to live with his girls. Mrs Chook had survived over 3 weeks on her own. We loved our stay there great old farm house & cottage with old shearers quarters turned into accommodation. Camp kitchen was great. Good supply of firewood stacked for fires around camp-sites. Toilets and showers were clean and good hot water and pressure. Couldn't thank Rob enough for saving Mrs Cook and giving her a home. Great place to stay. There are peacocks Guinea Fowl ducks n chooks

SHELTER FROM THE STORM, We stayed a couple of nights in the shearers quarters to get out of the rain and as we were the only ones there we made good use of the old kitchen and camp fire. Accomodation was very basic with our own swags thrown onto single beds with shower and ablutions points very clean and basic. Great service and pity it was so wet we couldnt see the Station sights but we enjoyed the serenity.

Rural place, not much around, apart from from an extremely hot shower in the shearers quarters.

Has a games room and basic facilities. Designed for caravan, campers etc.

Rustic station stay but that is part of the charm of it. Has everything you need including hot showers, old fashioned kitchen and campfire area for s'mores:) Told that 4WDs have access to further interesting parts of the property, but we didn't experience that ourselves.

The shearing quarters are quaint. A shame that the areas for caravans need a bit of a cleanup lots of broken bottles, wire and old cans

Stayed there for 2 night last October for birding. No disappointment! I'll definitely go back there again next year and stay longer.

Really enjoyed this station stay.but be warned it's fairly basic. The camp kitchen is good but the showers fairly basic. The camp host is friendly and knowledgeable. Several good things to go and see. The central campfire is good fun.

Amazing place for an overnight stop or a few nights. Caravans, campers or stay in the old shearers quarters. Hot hot showers and old kitchen for our use. Communal fire pit great place for a chat and a drink with fellow travellers. Host was a very friendly down to earth lady. Highly recommended.

Very rustic. Good place to sit around the fire in the commune of the camp kitchen. Friendly hosts.
Only qualm is if you pay for power you can only run your fridge.duhh!

The road in was very smooth at the time and fairly scenic because the surrounding areas had had some rain so creeks were running. The downside of this was that some of the attractions were isolated, but we still could go to the breakaways which were some of the best and most extensive we have seen. Give yourself at least half a day to do this. The camping area is fairly large and surrounds the station workers quarters. Good showers and flat camping areas with some shade. Will go back to visit other attractions. Very friendly and helpful camp hosts.

Recently taken over by Rob and Leanne Lefroy this 160,000 hectare working sheep station is in breakaway country. The real Australian experience! This is the place to go if you want to meet great people and have a real Aussie experience. Magnificent wildflowers in season and spectacular sightseeing. Wildlife abounds. Great for sightseeing or artists.

Staying here for a B&B was unpleasant. The owner made personal comments about people in my group the whole time, outright racial slurs at dinner and berated us for being late when we called several hours ahead to let them know of a delay. The ‘beautifully renovated’ shearers quarters had old beds, curtains that barely covered the windows, thin blankets and no locks on doors that opened directly into the yard. In two rooms they opened randomly because the latches needed replacing. Unisex shared bathrooms should have been advertised. Not recommended.
