Murdoch University Village reviews
16Been a resident for 2 years now. All was well last year but there were so many inconveniences this year, from gas leaks to power outrages, once leaving us with no gas/hot water in winter. Not to mention the lack of respect for our personal spaces even after feedback was provided.
I happened to visit the Murdoch Village Admin today to meet an acquaintance who is visiting Australia at the university's invitation to present some papers at a conference. They asked us to come to the Admin office.
We arrived and while we tried to ask about his whereabouts, the lady at the reception rudely interrupted and said 'we cannot give his room number'. We'll we didn't ask for it! Then I asked if they could contact him. Again she said 'you have to call him yourself' and that too very very rudely. I just told her that she did not need to be rude and could say the same thing a bit nicely.
I wonder how they treat their students.
Just wanted to acknowledge staff Chloe. From the beginning, she was very helpful and flexible with all our requests. Such a professional staff she is. No doubt, she is a superstar in our eyes. Kelum
Great little place to live. My mate lives here at the moment and enjoys it. Lots of young people around at Murdoch but all very nice.
Peace and quiet from the traffic's, pretty well maintained and the staff is very friendly.
The campus cockatoos can be an interesting hush alarm clock to wake to.
I moved my daughter into her room on campus yesterday.i was nervous, sad, excited and so was my daughter.the staff at admin were amazing.friendly and so so helpful
Good place to live, affordable prices. Even better if you knoe someone or make good friends to live with.
Have had issues that would have never occurred at most accomodations, the 3 stars are for the people you live with and how close you are to the university.
Best spot. Great atmosphere, social, quiet, friendly. Everything you could ask for and super convenient with the close proximity to everything.
Studied in Murdoch University 2014-2017, worried about security because anyone can come into our village.
Informative during the orientation knew where everything is positioned at the village within minutes the friendliest staff anyone could ask for as you arrive you are gifted with a complimentary red bull, noodles a Murdoch university village drink bottle and village bag to show a kind welcome to each student #studentwelcomegift thank you to all at Murdoch university village
Well located, very quiet, staff very helpful and everyone friendly. Will book in again and will spread the word around.
Staff were helpful and professional. I like the semi rural setting and the fact that it's on campus and central to everything like shops, beach, city, airport etc. If you have a car, you'll need to purchase a half or full year sticker which comes at reasonable price. Public transport is aplenty.
Its student accom so don't expect the world of 6-star facilities. You make it your own here and niceness comes with your own effort and courtesy. What you can definitely expect is safety and convenience.and that, my friends, as "Truman" said is peace of mind.
I honestly which half or no stars where possible. I have had nothing but problems in this place. Rent a house, its cheaper, and youll have your sanity.
Seriously, stayed there for three months, the village will do anything to get money out of you and the sad part is most of the time they succeed. Also as a european exchange student, the way they chose to gave our bonds back through mailing a cheque is disgraceful just because we didn't see the need to get Australian bank accounts. To new students, there are plenty of house share around the university, if I was returning I would rather go there
