Munchy Monk reviews
41Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons were good. There were vegetarian options for both.the sauce on the spicy wontons was. The shallot pancake we got was overcooked and dry though
Had the vegetarian wontons, so good and flavourful! Really felt like comfort food
Will come back again for sure
Was amazing when it first opened and our go to destination, but the quality of the food seems to have declined for the price and don't think we'll go back.
Fortunately, all four Shanghai dishes we picked were delicious. The best dish is the signature dumpling pork and prawns. Others were Shanghai pan-fried pork dumplings, Dan Dan meat noodles, and mixed vege Dan Dan noodles. The Shanghai chef has been booking here for nearly 4 years already. The food was tasty and the business survived the covid pandemic period. This small corner lot is located in the Arcade facing the car parking bays. Enjoy!
Not sure why this place has such a high rating, tried a few dishes on the menu, the Dan Dan noodles was good, but the other dishes such as dumplings, bean curbs and Bao were just average, nothing really great about them.
Lovely little place. Beautifully served dumplings. Rice portion was not the biggest, not like at some other Asian places, but quite tasty. Nothing to rave about though.
Great service. We rock up at almost closing time without knowing and they still offered to make our order. Layers of flavors were to die for. Definitely the best dumplings I’ve had.
Great venue.
Dumplings heaven.
Go with friends and share the plates and enjoy.
Hamburger dumplings were ok but not very hot, Dan Dan noodles were barely warm, flavour was nice but you expect a dish to come out steaming hot so they are obviously not made fresh.
The dumplings are interesting, tasty and well priced. The staff are really lovely and provide great service - Best dumplings in Northbridge!
Went with a few friends for dinner, super cute atmosphere and great quality food! Only problem was that there seemed to be a language barrier when I tried to ask for a bowl of rice as a side and got charged for a bottle of beer instead, the staff member who spoke more English had to explain after the fact that they didn't do rice as a side but would be happy to offer me rice cakes for free to make up for it, which were pretty good.cost wise it was a bit on the pricy side, $48 just to fill me up for two small serves of dumplings, pot of tea and beer which I was charged for (but they kindly gave me free rice cakes), but it was quality and I appreciated the apology and service the staff provided for the mix up. I'm giving 4 stars for the high price for what you get, I would come back but not too soon.
Very tasty beef momo we ever had! Must try.
Will definitely visit again, hidden in the perth city
I really loved the food here and was surprised how delicious the dumplings were along with the wontons, my only complaint is it took about an hour for our food to come - understandably they had a lot of Uber orders to complete but it left me hungry afterwards.
I really loved the Thai Chicken. The hamburger dumplings are nice but the tomato and mustard sauce are very overpowering and strong but if you like that really strong burger taste it is nice.
Waiting 40 minutes for one dish but the other dumplings came in about 30 minutes.

Worst Pork Bao that you may find in town, not fully cooked, oily, and tasteless. Wontons tastes not freshly made (frozen) and should call them Mini Wontons as they cannot be smaller. Wonton soup is flavorless, disappointing as overall.
Best vegan wontons I've had besides homemade - incredibly tasty dry, with chilli oil. Delicious salt pepper tofu and dandan noodles - even the edamame was good! Thanks for a great meal
Cute little restaurant! We loved the food here and ordered Dan Dan noodles, chicken and mushroom wontons, Shanghai Shao Mai dumplings and the Shallot Pancake. Really enjoyed all of the dishes but our fav was the noodles and wontons.
Amazing pork and prawn wonton dry dumplings and Dan Dan noodles if you get a chance I recommended giving this beautiful dumpling house a go.
So good! Had 10 of us book an impromptu dinner and we all said 10/10. So much flavor and quick service. I had the beef momo, chicken and mushroom wonton dry & shallot pancake. We also tried the hamburger dumplings, pork & cabbage, fried tofu…. Basically the whole menu. Rate.
