Mudstone Spa Retreat

Came here after a bit of a stressful one at work and was very pleased with the stay. Felt very relaxed afterwards. Quite a few spots nearby to check out dhring the day aswell.
Definitely visiting again.

This would be one of those “WOW what a weekend! ” experiences.
We stayed in the “Romantica room” which was absolutely stunning.
I am sure whatever room you choose you would be delighted.
Greg and Joy are amazing hosts.

Accommodation was so beautifully presented, comfortable and quiet. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

So picture this…

You’re driving through the Kari forest to get to your own private little cottage completely secluded and nestled amongst a tropical jungle paradise.
You jump out the car and notice the peaceful sounds of birds and wind flowing through the trees … nothing else.
It’s freezing as you go to get the bags out of the car, but you notice smoke coming out of your chimney that has been lovingly pre lit by the hosts.
You find your little pathway leading you through tropical ferns that take you to your own porch that is fully equipped with a bbq, wood, couches, table and chairs and a lovely personalised welcome letter attached to the door.
You turn the handle and immediately feel the warmth coming through and the warm scents of sandalwood incense that is burning.
The dim lighting makes it feel as if you’ve taken a step back in time and you instantly feel you can relax mentally and physically.
You’re scanning the cottage and notice immediately the gorgeous clean sauna for some light skin therapy and toxin release.
Then the beautiful open king sized bedroom with chest drawers, rails and bedside tables to really make you feel at home as you unpack.
The kitchenette also fully equipped with loads of thoughtful complementaries.

You’re looking around wondering where the rest is …and then you find the door handle camouflaged in the antique accents of the cottage. You slide the heavy door to find another slice of heaven with a section dedicated to a massive standing bath laced with ancient bath salts and organic ammenities to provide a private spa therapy experience.directly opposite is the beautiful bathroom with an open shower fitted with a waterfall head.

And then, just when you think that’s incredible enough, the best part.
Another huge heavy door holds the windows which give you a peak of the paradise that awaits outside.
You eagerly slide it open and are taken to Bali.
Ferns over hanging the private deck that leads you to your eden of ultimate restoration.
A pre heated jet loaded spa awaits you as you witness the steam rising into the crisp air. A convenient shower nearby with cold and hot settings for all seasons.
Sheltered by a wooden hut you are surrounded by nothing but the sounds of nature…

What a beautiful peaceful place to stay. Wonderful room with the most comfortable bed. Great facilities in the room. Space air and deep peace!

This place was amazing, we stayed in the Romantica villa and it was 5 stars. Everything has been carefully thought of. Had the most amazing 2 nights here.

Joy was so extremely understanding of a sensitive situation and has made the biggest difference in a stressful time of my mums life all booked in for a spa retreat. The empathy shown from Joy was just out of this world and so beautiful knowing such people exist Mental health is so important. If you need that time for you in a beautiful place. Had the most amazing stay here! Lovely quiet place tucked away in the forrest! Must stay for anyone travelling to Pemberton! Loved the spa and got some lovely views of the night sky.

By far the most amazing place we have stayed. The spa suite exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated, completely private, and cosy and comfortable. Every one of our senses were nurtured the whole stay. Absolute luxury!

It was absolutely amazing, my partner and I spent a weekend here for my birthday and loved every minute of it! The spa was amazing, the fire, the bath love love love. We loved the surroundings and the unique accomodation. It was absolute bliss! We want to make it a regular stay.

A beautiful place. The accommodation was really great apart from the rock hard mattress it was the only downfall

What a gem! Nestled in beautiful forest, you feel far away from everything, yet it's only minutes from Pemberton and the surrounding attractions. We stayed in the Moroccan suite which is furnished beautifully with hints of Aladdin's cave. We also had the chance to view the other rooms - each with their own theme, each self sufficient, with their own private entrance and stunning bathrooms. Staying here was a treat, all the comforts of luxury accommodation with the total privacy and tranquility of a forest retreat. I highly recommend a visit.

We booked the spa cottage for 2 nights and were blown away by the location and atmosphere. We were after a complete re-set and relax & were not disappointed by this beautiful setting. A fully private cabin with your own jacuzzi, complete with wood fire and sauna, no phone service or internet adding to the seclusion. This place is excellent value for money and I highly recommend it to couples wanting to reconnect with nature and each other.

The house is really stunning.even better that pictures, amazing stay with the best hosts ever. Joy and Greg made sure our every need was taken care of. They are warm inviting people who truly care about people and make you feel right at home.they are just perfect!
We enjoy everything during our stay, well equipped kitchen, over size sofa and especially the jacuzzi and super comfortable mattress! Highly recommend!

Room was great and the owners are the nicest people that you could meet. I was by myself and they came around and asked if I would like to join them for a drink. They treat you like part of the family. Would recommend to anyone
