This is one of the better IGAs around it has quality products and offers a great variety of many amazing items
Iam glad some of the pre existing staff have been retained as they are knowledgeable friendly and well organised
I would recommend you try this shop it really offers a difference and quality goods

Today i visited The Good Grocer in Applecross for my usual purchase of a double loaf of Ciabatta bread. This bread is exceptional, with a delicious taste and a delightful aroma that brings a touch of a fresh bakery into your home. It's especially enjoyable when toasted and smothered in real butter.

Although I travel from Secret Harbour, the quality of the bread makes the drive worthwhile. When I'm in the area for work, I often stop by to pick up a loaf or indulge in their delicious apple turnover pastries. The store offers a variety of unique items that you might not find in larger chains.

The atmosphere in The Good Grocer is both friendly and delightful, making it a pleasure to explore their range of delicacies and produce. It's always a rewarding experience.

My go to whenever I need to get something quickly and avoid the crowds. As with other IGAs a bit more expensive the your Woolies and Coles but this shop has the hot and cold food section which I often stop into on the way home if I don't feel like cooking after work!

It's good and its a grocer, all in all I'd say it's a good grocer. Actually you know what? It's a REALLY good grocer.

Me and my friend Ben desperately needed celebratory balloons late one friday night, and within 2 minutes of entering the store, we had our hands on 75 balloons. We got home and celebrated. Great night. Will be back.

Usually fine, but I came in and was grabbing many small items off the shelf. I was in danger of dropping them so I went to put them in a reusable plastic bag so I could hold them and take them to the counter. A staff member then walks up to me and says ‘I actually need to scan those’ Basically accusing me of trying to steal in front of others. I didn’t really appreciate this public shaming, but lesson learnt, next time I’ll cradle my groceries like a baby and let bits and pieces fall to the floor while I desperately scramble to pick them up every two seconds, like socks in a pile of laundry.

Perhaps at least let me leave the aisle before the accusations start next time? Because my next stop would’ve been the register.

Disappointed tonight I purchased pre made meal, what I thought was Butter Chicken as per the label, got it home to find it was Beef massaman curry…. The beef was so chewy. They need to make sure they label correctly and improve the cooking of the beef curry

I was driving pass this place last night and literally lured by its outer appearance to step in the place. I was stunned as soon as I walked in.
The decoration and design was just five-stared (Oh-wow). The ambient just made me feel like I was in the paradisiacal version of supermarket.
The most impressive area, in my humble opinion, is the Get fresh in which they arrange fruit and vegetable into shape (see 5th picture)
They also have a wide collection of cheese in the middle. Moreover, I was so tempted to purchase the beef jerkey; however, they are exorbitantly expensive (the cheapest one was 18.99$/ 100 gram).
There is the self-served buffet styled where you can pick up the sustainable containers, which come in large and small size, and scope up the hot food available there.
Next to that, it was a fridge full of variety of ready -to - eat food (well, obviously you have to heat it up). I cannot guarantee but they looked homemade. Choices were quite impressive from pasta to risotto.
Other parts of the shop are neat and tidy. They sell regular everyday use products like other supermarket. However, they also have some exotic merchandises- such as different sorts of teas I have never seen. I almost brought a can of Japanese matcha power but it is 30$; thus, it was a no. I do believe in Asian shop they sell cheaper than that.
In the nut shell, go check the place out.:) Sorry I decided to deduct 1 star as the prices of groceries are rather expensive.

Friendly young girl at checkout. Liked ACDC and other old music with heart and soul. Good on her.

Easy access and great hours to shop. New market place setting make fresh produce looks well and much easier for browsing.

Very disappointing. One staff member said that i was dumb when I handed the wrong dollar bill. I came in on Friday last week at 4: 30pm. I will never return, and want action so this rude staff member will get what he deserves (severe punishment). I honestly don't know why inconsiderate people like this work in public places.

Recently changed their set up and management. The new layout is very different preferred the old management and setup. I do love the new timings though which are very convenient and the produce for fruit and veg look very high quality and fresh.

This is a fairly small IGA store but is is well set out and has reasonable prices for fresh produce. I regularly shop here for bits and pieces. I am not sure what it would be like to do a major shop

Friendly, helpful staff and switched-on store manager. Product selection is OK if somewhat expensive — sure this will improve with time and when their suppliers are fully ramped up (seems The Good Grocer and IGA - a partnership - have decided to “rebrand” the Mt Pleasant store, which probably means new staff and/or management).

Absolutely shocking customer service
Management were abusive to the front counter staff and not helpful

Expensive - I used to shop here all the time but since the new owners took over it has gone downhill and prefer Myaree IGA to shop which is further to travel but at least it is a real supermarket. Rude staff doesn't help it and also always check use by dates when shopping there!

This used to be a handy store, but the owners have cut back the hours they're open quite drastically.

What's the use of a convenience store that's only open the same hours as the big, multinational store down the street?

Hopefully someone who knows what they're doing will buy the store cheaply soon and return it to what it used to be a few years ago.

Overpriced with a limited selection of products. Slow, but friendly staff.
EDIT - they now have the worst hours of business, weird.

Standard iga but recently hours have changed. Now 8 to 5, making it a bit useless as a local supermarket. Can anyone shed light on why or if it will change back?

This was a great IGA a few years ago but the people in their currently (July 2021) seem less interested in customer service than the previous person.
