We are so excited with our shutter in our master bedroom window. Today we met Herschel Kleviansky he is a really nice guy and he has a excellent customer service. He is very professional he come on time and prepared.
We really enjoyed he's way of presenting their product he has a very good sense of humour, we didn't get bored while he is discussing about our inquiries. I will give him 10+/5 stars. He is very transparent with the informations. We are happy that we chose Modern Group Western Australia for the installation of our shutter.

We recently had plantation shutters installed by modern Group WA. We were very happy with the service provided by Modern group WA, from the the sales person Scott through to the installer Joel. The shutter are manufactured in Australia which is evident it the quality which is outstanding. We are about to order shutters for the remaining rooms.

Awful experience. Would never use this company. Would give zero stars if I could.

I could write a very long zero star review but I will keep it short. This company doesn’t value your time or your personal space. Our quote for not even half the house of plantation shutters took four hours (!) and a heated argument ensued over being pressured to sign on the spot. Note the salesman is unlikely to leave your house even if asked, or to hurry up with the quote if asked.

The cost is also double another quote we obtained which is not competitive especially in a time of inflation.

Wish we read the negative reviews before we let this company into our home - they all ring true for our experience. Avoid at all costs!

Initial installation motor at wrong end so wired in. Then wires get caught and shutter stuck wont go up wont go down. When came back yo repair damaged top housing and side rails been waiting 6 weeks for replacements and never seem to get an update, that's if the calls are returned at all.
Would definitely not recommend

I called for the millionth time and now after speaking the the 3rd or 4th new manager. And they have no record of my installation. And when it was finally found the repairs I am waiting for is closed. Hows that possible if repairs haven't been made?

Magically after review. The replacements have arrived and will be fixed next week, wow what a miracle.

But no contact from customer care, what a surprise. Customer service isn't a priority for this business.

So great job come fix the mistake and guess up wrong size, now more waiting.
Great to not have heard from anyone.

Update:

Roller shutters eventually installed (not the best) as photo will show.

Then under 12 months later get cold called re: need for advertising in my area and if would be interested in getting further shutters, and i am all for second chances. So i explained my reluctance to have Modern install shutters again but was told would be looked after and discounts offered and supposed dedicated manager to oversee the whole process. Well that's all we and good to say but what happened in reality was more of the same poor customer service. Didn't bother actually taking my deposit just my credit card details, dedicated manager no longer work there, check measure, no one shows or even has the decency to call to say sorry cant make it, then has the the gall to call at 7: 45 the following morning to make a time. Well as i was within the 10 cooling off period i cancelled my contract and so glad i did before it cost me anything. I WILL NOT be giving Modern a third go and would recommend anyone looking for Roller Shutters to look elsewhere, pretty anywhere but here. Pretty sure all the 5 star reviews are B. S.

Emailed you as requested and surprise surprise no contact. Guess whoever manages your customer complaints no longer works with you like just about every other person i have had dealing with?

After many months of waiting we were left extremely disappointing to have received shutters that were so far from the product we were promised, poor installation on many occasions and then being asked to clean up by the installer as he was leaving. The shutters were remade multiple times as they weren’t correct. Steer Clear!

Really unhappy with product would not recommend to anyone, bad coms, had to wait 13months just for them to do what should been done and the start, technician that installed the blinds had no idea what he was doing it was put in notes at the first meeting and sign up both switches to be installed on to the column, yet walking out to find he had installed it above the spa pool meaning I had to climb into the spa to operate it, blinds not set level or ajusted right so one side hit the ground other side had a big gap, other one being set 80mm above ground, after meany months of emails and phone calls no response or replys had to move the spa as it was a safety concern as i have a young child, then one day they tried ringing me to sell me more products I explained I was still waiting for my current blinds to be finished That lead to more disappointment didn't send a proper technician to finally finish fixing the blinds until I told them I was not happy or Intrested to use there product anymore and wanted them removed and my money back got no salutation or response to my email

Nice guy who came to quote - just not sure in 2023 Im prepared to spend $11k when the quote is scribbled on a piece of paper. Will keep looking for a better service.

Would not recommend! After countless months and many phone calls back and forth to get our blind sorted, got nowhere. Was given the run around about a extra piece for installation which one installer said we needed but was not manufactured so needed to wait for that. 3 months later one small piece is finally finished and can install! The new installer tries to instal looks at the piece and the measurements and determines that it will not hold the weight and whoever did the measurements were incorrect. After another month of waiting for information we decided to cancel… on cancellation we’re told it could not be processed and needed to talk to a superior. After multiple un returned phone calls, finally got ahold of someone to assist us and they refunded the money. Would not recommend to anyone looking to get a install of outdoor blinds.

We are very happy with our outdoor blinds from the Modern Group.
They have great customer service, they call and if there is an issue they are happy to come out and rectify the problem.
They look great and keep out the cold wind and the bugs.
They keep the outdoor area cooler in summer and you can keep the glare out too.
We just open the middle one to get a nice cool breeze and leave the other two down to reduce the heat and glare.
It's made our outdoor area look so much nicer.

After escalating my complaint, the Modern Group was able to make our restoration job a priority and work was carried out within a fortnight. We are very happy with the work done by the installer Damon. I hope we are an anomaly with the company.

Waiting now 6+ months for our roof to be restored. Deposit paid. Should have heeded the reviews here and avoided this company. After we signed we have had false promise after next. Originally they said they were a large company with multiple crews doing work so that there would be little delay. I understand weather has played a part. But honestly I think a lot of people have left the company. This was partly confirmed by one of their staff, who has also since left. They never return your call when they say they will. We have been next in line for over a month now for a “3-day job”. Seems only 1 person is doing the work for them now and we are waiting for them? So frustrating and disappointing. In comparison the company I used to repair our ceilings (hopefully not in vain since the roof is not fixed) quoted us within 2 days, did the job within a fortnight and kept us abreast of everything with great communication and use of online portal technology as well as trackers for tradie arrival.

Overpriced! Pushy salesman! Felt very pressured into the sale, the guy didn't want to take 'I'll get back to you soon with a decision' for an answer, nor did he explain that you cannot remove the window flyscreens to clean or replace them once the shutters were installed, now i cant get them back in. Part of the installation process was not carried out before the shutters were installed, leaving gaps around the shutters big enough for a crowbar to get into. The installer left permanent marker lines on my walls, inside and out. I now receive annoying telemarketing calls from Modern. Poor customer service, made a complaint via email, hadn't heard anything back after a month, called Modern to address the problem, spoke to the 'new management', the guy sounded about 25 with poor phone skills and blamed everything on his predecessor, basically saying 'S#*t happens, theres nothing that can be done'. Overall i feel like i wasted $17,500 on these!

Keiran came out to measure and quote for outdoor blinds for our alfresco area. He was professional and polite while ensuring we had everything we needed to make our decision.
An overall pleasant experience.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with modern for our outdoor blinds they recently installed.
Kim Degens from customer service was absolutely amazing to deal with. The sales consultant and the installer were also up to their tasks and did an amazing job.
I will recommend Modern group to anyone thinking of outdoor blinds!

We are really happy with how the plantation shutters turned out, the house feels more complete with them in.
When I enquired about the shutters online, we got such a quick response from Kim, she was very friendly, professional and efficient and booked a free quote in right away.
Paula came in and did the quote she has lot's of knowledge and very friendly and relateble, she gave us a great deal.
Once the shutters were ready the installer Joel was booked right away and did a fantastic job at installing the shutter he noticed an issue and got it sorted right away. The 2nd installer Bruce came and finished the job he is an excellent installer and knowledgeable

Overall we had a fantastic experience with Modern Group and would recommend
