Midland Records reviews
48 Bought some vinyl online and went to the store to pick up.
Glad I did, I'll be back for a good look through the vinyl as they have plenty of it.nice cafe at the front as you enter too.
Good way to spend half a day and lighten your wallet!
A great spot to leaf through records for a bit of nostalgia. A small antique section, a great coffee shop and the staff are friendly and helpful.
In addition to used records and DVDs, they also carry small items, so it might be fun to stop by.
Absolutely love this place. Great variety of LPs, before you know it time passes so quick. Combine that with the antique/vintage shop so you do need to allow yourself extra time to browse.
Midland records is my go-to place to keep up with my vinyl collection! Great service and awesome vibes in there! Thanks Midland Records:) #midlandrecords
I love how the staff are into music too, especially vinyl. Being able to talk about what pressings or remasters were good, the not so good etc, is very useful. Prices are competitive and you can grab a coffee from their cafe and browse. Neat!
Always worth the drive out to Midland. Excellent selection of records & accessories. Staff are friendly and always quick to respond to any emails/DMs. #midlandrecords
One of the best in Perth. Great selection, RSD friendly, second hand records and others turntable components stocked. Great little cafe as well.
A cool record store to go to with a great selection of albums, vintage items, and cafe. Something to get lost in for as much time as I could imagine. I wish I found out about this place ages ago.
Attempted to get a Folklore long pond studios RSD vinyl at record store day 2023. Was appalled by the horrible and nauseating vibes that came, as there wasn't a formal queue system and despite being number 40 in the queue, with 50 copies available, the lack of ticketing systems meant that everyone shoved and pushed past. This store should've had more control over who could get the copies, on a first come first served basis rather than letting hundreds of people flood in at the same time. Was also disappointed as I didn't manage to get a copy despite getting there at around 6: 20 am.
A consideration would be to put the vinyls in a specific spot rather than around the entire store as it became more of a hunt and snatch.
Will not be coming to this store again for future RSD days.
Great selection of vinyl records to choose from. Have ordered online on separate occasions, however with my most recent order, the record gatefold sleeve came bent in the mail. Luckily enough the record was not damaged, but would probs recommend stronger cardboard packaging.
They have a huge range of vinyls and beautiful furniture and bits and bobs. Also has coffee but hubby and I were too immersed into the vinyls. $300 odd dollars later with a rich collection of vinyls in hand. Highly recommended! You can also apply for membership for future deals. We will return again the next time we're in Perth.
One of the best vinyl shops in Perth. Friendly staff big range, will also order special requests
Fantastic, friendly staff to begin, always keen for a conversation and willing to lend a hand. With a constantly updated, gigantic selection this is a go-to.
Great range of Vinyls and second had CD's and records.
Give yourself at least an hour to flick through the racks.
They have a coffee shop at front of house so settle in a find some gems to add to your collection.
True professionals. Error by manufacturer and not the store fault at all. But they still looked after me. Cheers Midland.
Great staff on a Saturday, a depth of knowledge to assist in finding further music in the genre of your interest. Be warned, its dangerous because of their huge range it can be damaging to your bank balance: D
One of the im Perth. Great selection, RSD friendly, second hand records and others turntable components stocked. Great little cafe as well.
Have a lot of Records there but unfortunately only 1 Elvis Presley Record, that's not good enough.
Bought my first vintage record here in 2010 and have seen the store transform over the years from a dusty old secondhand shop into one of Perth’s finest record stores, combining an elite selection of new and limited-edition records with a vintage section that will occasionally have some real gems hidden away - most recently a mint 70’s pressing of “Presence” by Led Zeppelin. They also stock high-quality cleaning and storage accessories for collectors who like to keep their records in pristine condition.
Prices are reasonable. I’ve seen some absolutely absurd record prices at JB Hi-Fi, so kudos to Midland Records for keeping it real.
Customer service is good and they will help you find and order specific records if they’re available from suppliers.
Their range of secondhand furniture and trinkets is interesting to browse as well, and much more accessible than the secondhand shops in Guildford. (Edit - The coffee shop out the front is up and running again. Good coffee and a selection of sandwiches, bagels, etc - perfect for if you’re checking out some of the local shops and want some lunch or an afternoon snack.)
I highly recommend checking this place out.
