Many thanks to Mike for a year of lessons with our son. Max loves learning about music, and I’m very aware of how fortunate he is to have such a great teacher.
Mike is patient, calm and encouraging and my son has responded with a genuine interest and desire to learn.
This start with Mike will be a central part of his love of music whatever aspect of his life it ends up influencing, and we are very appreciative.

Mike is multi-instrumentalist, an excellent musician and an extraordinary teacher. Watching Mike teach my 12 year old son on percussion and the drum kit was an absolute pleasure. Mike's knowledge, patience and gentle nature helped propel my sons grasp of the essential rudiments and he quickly progressed to playing complicated arrangements well above his age group. As a family we have also enjoyed watching Mike play live gigs with his band The Awakenings Ensemble, such incredible musicians and a must see gig.

My son has been learning from Mike for a few years now while he was in Doha. Great educator and performance artist. Will be missed and wish him best in Perth.

Worked on projects and commissions with Mike in Australia and in the Middle East. A highly creative, multi-skilled artist and educator.

Inspiring musician and exciting performer. Additionally, a skilled tutor for our young drummer boy.

Mike came and worked with Dulwich College (Singapore) as part of the Diversity! Programme 2017, running workshops and performances with a Jazz Combo - a great experience for our students and staff alike. A real highlight for the college to have some 450 students sing Basin Street Blues along side a professional Jazz Combo, lead by Mike. Great to work with in everyday and would very much recommend. Malcolm C Godsman, Director of Music, Dulwich College (Singapore).

Mike was my little brothers first improvisation teacher, after a short time he learned a lot and always enjoyed each class. He’s both a great musician and teacher!

Micheal has been a tremendous influense on my son, giving him the confidence to perform at the Rythm Explosion concert that Michael has organized for the past few years. He is so talented, making any instrument look easy to play, and at the same time he is an exemplary teacher.
