Miami Bakehouse Falcon reviews
67Ordered a Baileys Torte birthday cake which cost $185 only to find it was squashed into two lids & not in a cake box & the top was squashed along with the writing poorly done, so disappointed
I highly recommend it! So far it is the best pie I ever had. I had Ginger chilli pork, delicious. And my partner had Steak mushroom, , delicious. Good size, good flavour balance, and very nice pastry. I don't have pictures because I ate too quick, but I definitely will come back.
Sadly they don't live up to their reputation, have tried a lot of their food and am honestly still haunted by the shepherd's pie, dried potato on top, middle was filled with brown liquid and decided to have one more bite before throwing in bin and bit into a big lump of fatty gristle that made me want to vomit. The cakes are a little better and to the coffee is actually really nice, but for somewhere that is meant to be famous for their pies etc I really hope they change something because I know a lot of people in the area who just wont eat there anymore.
I just paid $9.20 for a pie. I get inflation and all that but this was a skinny pie. Your business isn't going to survive with these prices and you can keep justifying the Amelia park etc.but in the end you are charging too much and losing customers.
Sorry, never again, small sausage roll and small pie $15.20 how this business boasts about awards is mind boggling! Shockingly overpriced!
Paid $9.60 for 1 pie and a tiny squirt of sauce? Pie was small and super dry, boring nonexistent taste.
Definitely not worth that amount, considering other bakeries are selling better quality pies with quality ingredients, for a fraction of that price.
Very basic and disappointing for something overpriced.
Guy at the counter seemed bothered by me being there despite the place being empty. Not the first time staff have been stand offish or rude. Lesson learnt. Definitely not returning.
Bought a pie, sausage roll and a drink all equaling $24, massive rip off. Would be happy to pay that price if everything wasn’t so dry, mediocre and generic.
I ordered a variety of pies. They taste great. In fact they are the best pies I have ever tasted. It’s worth a trip from Perth down to Falcon just to get a batch and freeze them. I bought 20 plus other things. It would have been good to get a small discount or at least a free pie after you order 20. But still doesn’t detract from the taste and still worthy of five star rating in my opinion.
My husband and I are sitting by the estaury enjoying a really good coffee, bought from Miami Bake House.
Has a good name in Falcon, & if you get a day when it is is staffed by the older adults then you will enjoy the service friendly conversation & range of de l icious pastries, pies, sandwiches, rolls & sweet treats
& feel that much better for having made a stop & entering their premises.
It has been my experience that when the younger staff are working, there can be a lengthy wait to be served at counter as they get held up out back.
This used to be the 'go to' bakery for fresh, delicious products. Now you pay premium prices for defrosted products.
The custard and custard/ fruit tart base has been mushy the last two times I've ordered it, the custard is watery and the pecan pie tastes like it's fresh out the freezer with background taste of ice.and also an older soft shell crust.
We've been disappointed in our pies when we've bought them for the family with not much change from $50 and they taste reheated by something which has taken the crunch out of the pie.
We are local, we support local and we want this business to keep thriving and doing us proud.
We'll be back.when the quality matches the price.
We were looking forward to trying this award-winning spot but frankly, we weren't impressed. The brownie was dry and too sweet. The cherry coconut slice tasted very artificial, especially the "cherries". Both of our hot drinks (latte and chai latte) were also way too sweet, as was the apple almond plat loaf. The chicken coconut curry pie was OK but not worth $9. The garlic prawn pie was suggested by the staff so my partner tried it, and it wasn't very tasty either, and definitely not worth $13! All things considered, not recommended and won't be returning.
Delicious pies, easily the best around with quality ingredients.
As they say "you get what you pay for" and that's certainly true here
I love the spearmint milk shake and it was amazing except the cream tasted a bit off and warm, but other from that it was good.
Quality seems to have slowly dropped over the last decade or so. Now over priced and too commercial. $10.50 for an underwhelming beef rendang pie no bigger than the palm of your hand is just ridiculous! I can almost understand charging $12 for a premium garlic prawn pie but charging anymore than $7.50 for a beef pie is plain rude.
Edit in response to owners reply.
Sorry, but as a restauranter myself, if you need to charge $10.50- $12 for a small pie to remain profitable, there's a problem.
Nice pies and my wife loved the pastie. Young guy behind the counter was very polite. A touch expensive but quality is exceptional. Shop Is always clean and display counters well stocked with tasty treats.
Always stop here if work sends me past here. Decent coffee & scrumptious ham + cheese sausage rolls
Went here the other day and was blown away by the amazing service and quality of food! Would recommend to anyone. Very professional!
Feel bad for the staff though who have to put up with losers that make their day hard when asked for Covid certificates/check in/wear a mask
Garlic prawn pie mmmmmm. One definitely needs to be eaten hot. Full of flavour. 10/10
Plain mince pie mmmmmm. Gravy just thick enough not to run and full of flavour. 10/10
I like baguette. Unfortunately Miami Bakehouse do not. I went there Sunday morning to purchase a nice fresh baguette and ended up walking out as their baguettes were limp and soft, not crisp on the exterior and soft in the middle no, just limp. You would not be criticised for thinking they were frozen and thawed before going into the store.
Don’t waste your time. I went to Woolies and purchased 2 what were perfectly enjoyable baguettes.
