Mia Mia House in the Desert

The team at the front counter on Saturday 16/12/2023 has the best customer service we've encountered on our 3 weeks travels around WA.

The rooms are simple and clean. Double bed, cupboard with drawers, TV, shower, toilet, sink, microwave, kettle. It's all you need though. TV connects to all streaming services if you have a login. The breakfast buffet is great. Staff are friendly. Gym is limited but enough to give you something. Free laundry. Best place to stay in Newman.

This place is one of the friendliest and chilled environments to enjoy a cold bevvie and a decent meal! BIG SHOUT OUT TO ONE OF THE LADIES RUTH who is always very helpful, friendly and has such wonderful energy

First visit to East Pilbara Region with my family for short holiday.
It was awesome.
Had dinner at Mia Mia Restaurant, we wouldn't have thought that we would have had such a delicious meals.in the Desert. Good service and Clean. Nice Friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Great large rooms, Friendly staff and good food, Is a bar and a Gym and a laundry what more could you want

Stayed here for a night during a work trip and was genuinely astonished by how clean, presentable and modern the rooms are for a mining town. The Sunday roast was worth every penny. Staff are very accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this place over any other place in Newman.

It is a great place to pull up stubs after a long day on the road. (different)
The buff breakfast was great, with great value as well. I missed tea, so I can't comment on it. My off-sider made it & said it was good.
Good security as well.
Next time, up that way would go back there, and stay again

The room was seriously overpriced! $300 a night is double what it should be. The long life milk in the bar fridge was 6 months out of date, the room small, the bathroom floor dirty, the light switch and exhaust fan for the bathroom faulty. Absolute Rip off.

Amazing experience, Staff were wonderful and friendly especially to our wild children. Thank you Sam for creating an amazing birthday cake. If you need food and a cake for a celebration this is a wonderful place to choose.

Take away coffee section was good. Watch if you ask for an extra shot that its actually put in.
I get 2 to 3 cups a day from there and i know the difference between an extra shot or not.
And your paying 6.50 for a cup.

Very friendly helpful staff.
The complex was interesting and the rooms whilst small were clean and
well kept. Having an on site restaurant was handy.

The staff are amazing and so helpful we arrived late and they made sure the key was easy to get.the beer garden is the best I've ever seen the whole complex is lovely and the clean, the rooms are small but the bed is bloody comfortable just very disappointed in the buffet it was cold and the scrambed eggs tasted burnt we didn't eat it just left it and went to the coffee shop sorry. I'm no sure if I would book again for the value.

A great little spot for morning coffee, I didn't stay the night but heard good things about the place from people that have.

Administration, bar tenders, house keepers always smiling and happy, always eager to help great little spot to stay.chef's are fantastic.

2nd time eating here, very impressed good coffee and the the eggs benny plain and with salmon where great, kids loved the sausage role and pastries.

Cannot recommend enough, fantastic room, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and the omelette awesome- 5 stars guys!

The staff is lovely! We bumped into the new owner who has taken over the start of this year. We met him near our room as the lock on our door wouldn’t lock in properly but I think you just have to pull it a little harder and it shuts properly. He is so welcoming and kind. I accidentally checked into the wrong room (my bad) but they was so accomodating and gave us the option to go to the original room we booked if we wanted but we was happy to stay where was! The owner offered to buy us a round of drinks but we couldn’t possibly accept that as the service was exceptional, we didn’t to be compensated for anything! We had a chat with the owner too, he is a great guy. The reception, bar staff & restuarant waitresses are lovely, the food is delicious and hot. The drinks are also good too especially the cocktail of the day which is the sunset Mia Mia. If we was ever to stay somewhere in newman for a stop off we would definitely book here again without hesitation! Thanks for the amazing service guys, we appreciate it!

The service here was amazing. We managed to cross paths with the owner Scott, after we accidentally went to the wrong room. He was very welcoming and accommodating and offered us to stay in the room we were supposed to be in (our bad) but we were happy to stay in the room we went to.

We went to have dinner at their amazing restaurant, and the food was amazing (finger licking good literally). Scott actually sat down with us and we had a good chat and a drink.

We highly recommend staying here on your travels, my wife and myself will definitely stay here again on our travels
