Mesa campground reviews
27Beautiful small campground in Cape Range National Park, 22 sites, generators allowed between certain times, no pets, toilets avail. Close to beach for small boat launch. Stunning views from the dunes.
Great camp spot. Easy access to beach both walking or by 4wd. Lovely beaches for swimming or walking. Easy to launch boat from beach. Camp has good clean drop toilets cleaned daily the camp overall is well maintained. Great base to explore surrounding areas. Only about 30kms back to Exmouth.
Beautiful spot, beach is amazing for swimming and sunset views. The dunes kept the wind off our camp and the camp host was diligent and welcoming.
I travelled to Exmouth by motorcycle for the solar eclipse. The first thing I did when I arrived after 1500 kilometres on the bike was strip down and go for a swim. The facilities were clean, my campground was tidy and quiet, and the night skies from my swag were amazing
We love Mesa, 2nd time there for us. Great amenities and large spacious campsite areas. Beach launch for a tinny and good fishing. Friendly camp host Julian.
Great beach access, and the long drops were spotless, great spot if you can get it, as it also has some shade.
Very quiet campground with only 5 sites. Toilets were cleaned. 50m far from the beach where you can snorkel.
There's about 50 cockroaches inside each of the toilets there and I absolutely hate cockroaches!
The toilets are clean but they stink out the whole camp. DPAW need to sort this out before tourist season
Great little beach. Caught lots of pan size fish. Camp site looks great we will try get in one day.
Basic and cleanly maintained.
Right by the ocean so can hear the waves in the evening and see the star light up the sky.
Great location
$11 for unpowered site
Has toilets
Very well defined parking areas
Bush toilets only. Bore water about 500mt away. No showers provided. Rubbish bins available and drink container recycling. 100mt walk to safe swimming beach. 4wd boat launch into lagoon.
There's about 50 cockroaches inside each of the toilets there and I absolutely hate cockroaches!
Brilliant campground.one of the best I’ve stayed at. We stayed 2wks in Sept 2020 in a caravan with 2 toddlers.
The camp itself is spacious, very well set, tidy, really clean bush toilets and has abt 5 rubbish bins. A good group of fellow campers while we were there made it even more pleasant.
Nice beach for kids and toddlers, and can 4wd right up to the beach. Grab a chair and watch the sunset on the dunes, then once the sun has gone down, look up at the millions of stars - magic.
Great stay away from the crowds in town and 10min from both Turquoise Bay & Oyster Stacks for snorkelling.
Note:
- There is NO water at this site. Possibly the most important thing to bear in mind staying here
- If you happen to go when it’s windy, unless you have a spot by the trees, the wind can be relentless at night. Not ideal for tents, esp in the more open sites.
- This is a generator-permitted site during the day, so be prepared to hear some occasional buzzing, otherwise go elsewhere. Didn’t bother us.
- If you plan on using anything with pegs, bring a drill - ground is compacted and hard!
- There is limited 4G reception with Telstra, which was good to have in case of emergency.
What a dream, beautiful beach and a beautiful camping location. This is a Nationalpark camping, no water and no electricity. Bring enough water and food with you and then enjoy!
Need you help!
Has someone seen a cuddle toy on the lot number 19?
It’s a small white tiger and I lost it there on the 8th of August.
Thank you for your help, it means a lot to someone.

Only used the day area, but a gorgeous spot to launch our little boat. Snorkeling and fishing is awesome
Very unhappy, had to leave for personal reasons and hoping to return to site which was paid for another two weeks to be told if excit over night you lose your money and they double book. Not happy Hate been ripped off.
It's good. Nice little bay people launch boats off of. We didn't snorkel but you do get cell service.
