Merriwa SUPA IGA reviews
32Since Eva Fresh have taken over and closed the deli the local feel and freedom of choice has gone from the store. Such a pore selection of cold meats and a noticeable decline of customer care and service brought on by the greed of the new owners
Hubby spent over $60 at the store tonight. Greek salad was slimey and barely edible; potato salad was overpriced and tasteless; hot chicken was tasty but scrawny and overpriced; icreams had melted and obviously been refrozen - the chocolate was EMPTY!
I'm all for "buying local and supporting the little guy" but if that's your standards, we will be going further afield.
Fantastic groceries bit higher than usual but that is the trend Fruit and vegetables
Display always inviting staff very friendly
Love browsing through these independently IGA stores, first time visiting one in Perth.
Well stoked, clean, tidy and friendly staff. Great weekly specials.
Plenty parking. Shopping trolleys or baskets for your convenience. Open 7 days a week 7am to 9pm daily.
Nice convenient local store. Range isn't huge as the bigger players but has most of what you need.
I understand there may be not so busy times but when you have 4 workers grouped together gossiping, none of you seem approachable because obviously your gossip is more important than the customer.
The potato salad was also 90% undercooked, we couldn't eat it because it was like we were eating a potato straight from the shelf.
Super IGA Merriwa is a godsend especially on the weekends when all other supermarkets close at 5pm they stay open till 9pm every night. If I need to do a small, quick shop I go there. They have all the things I need and majority of the time I get them at sale prices too which is a bonus. The staff are great and friendly and always stocking shelves and keeping the store clean and tidy. They are very helpful too and will check out back for you if the item you need isn't on the shelf. They have great fruit packs, I always buy them and a fantastic little deli for all your fresh cold meats. They are a real family orientated store. Check them out!
Went to the bakers in the shared foyer, don't shop here any more at the IGA bit out of my league.
I dashed off to the IGA in Merriwa to buy a loaf of bread for my 4 grandchildren that foster. I arrived there at 2 pm on Monday 28th June. I was about to pay the $4.50 for the bread I needed but was rudely told that I needed a face mask in order to be served. I kindly explained to the managaress that I do not have a TV or a radio so I was unaware of the lockdown that was in effect two hours ago. A box of facemasks was thrown in front of me and told to buy one or no service. I could not get my bread because I did not have enough for the face mask. My grandchildren had no bread.nothing else.
Great location, Poor selection
Friendly Young staff, but higher prices and the only place in Australia that put up their cigarettes by $20 overnight and milk is not $2 and bread is not cheap either
, worth the trip too Woolworths or coles
Won’t be my convenient local any more
Sooo disappointed
For a small branch they seem to have everything fresh and reasonably priced why travel when you can normally get what you want close by
Friendly service with the best plums full of sweet juice! Tables and chairs provided before entry was a lovely spot to eat our plums then visit the bakery.
Came in a few days ago and staff was so friendly, a young lady with an accent went out of her way to help me out, 10/10 great service
Store ok but was lacking some items on the shelves so I had to go to another store. If u like a good variety of milk this is not the store for
you. They did not stock my brand and lack product on most occasions I drop in!
I abhor loud, big shopping centres, so Merriwa is my go to supermarket. They are open from 7am to 9pm, their prices are comparable to the bigger chain supermarkets and their fresh produce is always exceptional. Definitely my favourite little supermarket in the area.
Buyer beware.
Pretty much all their stock is expired. I was a regular shopper, but every shop this last month has been riddled with heaps of expired produce, soft drink, meats, dairy etc.management seem to have little care when issues are brought to light.
Usually a good little store until today, decided to grab some garlic bread as it was cheap, $3 I believe, anyway got home opened it up and there is mold on it, just disgraceful, unfortunately I was in a rush and asked for no receipt so I don't think I can take it back. Be careful what you buy from here.
Its Supa.a very busy and well stocked store. And right outside you have the Yorkshiremans Pie Bakery.so double the Supa.
Great selection, found things I have been searching for for a while. Staff friendly with one exception.
Twice now I have bought ice creams from here nd both times I've had to throw them out because it seems that your freezers arent working properly because they've melted and then refrozen. The icecreams are covered throughout with ice crystals which happens from refreezing. And the entire icy pole packet is full because its been melted. I like to go to the IGA to support local businesses but never again. Disgraceful
