I was served by a rude teenager. I politely asked if they had any roasts available as the shelves were almost empty. He spat out “Lamb, beef, pork, chicken” I wasn’t sure if that was a question, so I said I was looking for something to slow-cook. He rolled his eyes and repeated the same monosyllabic four words with a smirk. I quickly bought the first thing he offered so that I could leave. I will not return.

Fantastic butcher, staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Would highly recommend grabbing a burger pack from them and doing smash burgers, great value for money.

Such a great butcher. We love dropping in on the way home and grabbing something delish for dinner. I love that I can just say what should I grab and they offer ideas and cooking time suggestions. Have been using Melville heights for about 10 years and loved every single thing iv ever bought! And thanks team for our chicken schnitzel tonight they were delish.

Amazing quality of meats and huge selection of different products. Staff is always happy to help and is by far the friendliest I came across. Love it.

I’ve recently started making my own Sausages and have had trouble getting things like Back Fat - was actually told by a different butcher, “just buy our snag’s mate”.

Went into Melville Heights Meats and they were beyond great! Packaged up the pork and fat in correct ratios and cut me off some casings. I’ve found my new Butcher!

Ian and his team are super friendly and the choice and quality of meats is excellent. Early opening means you can get all your meat and rubs in one stop and cook it low and slow all day if required. Plenty of high quality sausages, brisket, wagu, lamb, steaks as well as pies and other goodies. Burger packs (meat / cheese / buns) are a big favourite with the kids. Need cooking tips for an impressive result? You get these too if you just ask.

Great local butcher, Ian always displays his prices. He has a great selection, even Duck in the freezer. He could expand his range to things like continental like Salami

Had to make mother's Day lunch special, so I grabbed an amazing piece of beef from the team and roasted it to perfection. The snags, and burger packs are sensational as well. Keep it up MHMS.

Travelled from NOR to get to these guys, mainly because they’re the only place I could find in Perth who stocked the Meater+ thermometer. I was not disappointed on arrival. If you’re into BBQ, this is the place to go. All your low and slow American cuts like briskets, tri tips etc, but also hard to find Brazilian picanha steaks a variety of game. They also sell heaps of rubs, smoking wood etc.
But seriously, pick up the Meater+ thermometer while you’re there.

If you’re into the Low’n’slow stuff these guys have everything you need. Literally everything! They do pellets and charcoal too.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Ian's ultra marbled steaks. Close to the best steak I have ever eaten. The flavour factor following seasoning and a nice char grill was off the charts. Highly recommended.
