Best fish and chips! Large portion sizes (which is rare for fish and chips these days!) and love the old school way of always including a few extra potato scallops/squid rings. Reminds me of early 2000 days!

Sensational fish and chips every time. Tasty and beautiful white fleshed fish in a perfect batter. Not greasy at all with minimal wait time. A very friendly family owned business - I’m definitely a regular and recommend it to everyone in the area.

Last night was the first time I had ever purchased fish and chips from this outlet. The pieces of fish were large, cooked to perfection and not greasy or oily. The chips were also perfect. The owner and staff were friendly. I shall be returning to this shop the future.

We sometimes come here just to order the minimum chips to go with our dinner. The chips are yummy - crisp and light. They staff and owners are always so lovely about it and never make us feel cheap for ordering just $5 worth of chips even on a really busy Friday

Ordered online, got a piddle amount of chips (this is considered a large). Got a burger and taco as grilled fish which costs extra.received both as battered. Very disappointing considering the star rating.

We have been customers for since 2016 and have never had any reason to be disappointed even when the ownership changed. The Hake is excellent and chips well cooked and crisp. I would recommend everyone go and try and they even have $1 chips with the fish.

Best Fish n Chips going - service is polite and friendly plus their fish n chips are crisp, fresh and portions generous.

Great fish and chips. The batter is crispy and light. The seafood basket was delicious and we really enjoyed the squid rings.

Everything was cooked well. The service is friendly and efficient.

Very disappointed. Grilled fish was very rubbery, the chips were cold and soggy (no idea how they managed this) and the oil they used was very old. I could tell this by the colour of the batter. It was dark brown and tasted old and disgusting.
The cats wouldn’t even eat the fish when we gave it to them.
Waste of money!

Had the seafood basket. Good sized serving. Prawns great quality. Generally tasty, but a bit too oily for my liking.

Melville fish and chips are friendly and happy staff. They have a beautiful clean establishment and the food is excellent. We have always got great service and the fish is lovely. Nice portions and fresh chips. Never oily. Highly recommend this place as it’s extremely great.

Worth the drive from wherever you are within 10+ km.

The chips are just so crispy outside and perfect inside.

The fish is always perfectly cooked and flaky and the batter is great too.

Now I know why the fish & chip shop in Melville plaza closed. They could not compete with these guys.

Get our Friday night fish and chips here every week. Always lovely grilled fish (I don't like batter!) and nice crispy chips. Great value and friendly service too. For those saying it went downhill after changing ownership a couple of years ago, I would agree - but they've got themselves sorted out now and are consistently good. I'd say give them another go.

Ordered the family pack and it was perfect. The fish was so tasty, really generous portions easily fed four of us. Paper was practically clean, hardly any oil. Will definitely be making this our local chippy.

Had their fish and chips for $11, was a decent sized portion, fish was absolutely delicious (best I've had in years!) and chips were super fresh. Haven't been disappointed here yet.

Can't believe when you order GRILLED fish it comes delivered with batter on it! Second rate to say the least! DISGUSTING!

One of the best fish and chipperies I’ve been to. They are all super helpful and friendly and the food is great! Been there a fair bit and always good food and service!
